O-/oe-/e- from (o)estrogenic and oogenic. This groups both tw-altsex and w-altsex people with others not fitting either category. – AP
Gotta say I’m a little confused about why you chose to refer to estrogen and eggs in the name when a) it’s supposed to include non-afab people and b) a lot of afab ppl with this sort of identity would not want to refer to themselves as estrogenic or oogenic because… they’re altsex and likely dysphoric about those traits
Like I just don’t get how this would be a proper way to refer to this concept or one people would feel comfortable using. Of course some folks would be fine with using it for themselves or being referred to this way if they’re this sort of altsex but I feel like a LOT of people would not.
The name was just a previous idea. I offered œ-altsex to reference about having secoundary sex characteristics associated with being predominantly (o)estrogenized/oogenized/oögenized, just as in (o)estrogen-/œstrogen- def.
I was just messing around with the ace flag because I’m bored, thought this looked kinda neat, so if you wanna use it for anything – like, I’ve made it my Facebook cover pic – knock yourself out.
since the origins of the original purple and white ace flag are pretty gross i wanted to try redesigning the flag myself. ft. a couple of icon versions and meanings for each of the stripes! expanded meanings below:
cornflower blue–unity: i wanted to emphasize this since the ace community has struggled with connections and unity in the past and i wanted something that could encourage the community to band together without being founded on harmful principles and ideals (like aven).
purple–romantic attraction and lack thereof: asexuality inherently complicates one’s relationship with romance in general, especially if you’re also aromantic. basically, this is representative of the complex relationships ace people have with romance, whether they’re aromantic or otherwise.
dark blue–pride in identity: ace people are allowed to embrace their asexual identity and feel a connection to it.
black–lack of sexual attraction: this one is more or less self-explanatory.
you don’t have to use this flag or anything but i figured it might serve as an alternative for those who aren’t comfortable with the original flag.
–also: please don’t turn this post into ace discourse, this isn’t about inclusionism or exclusionism. it’s an ace-community centered flag.–
(Image description: four images of a gender creative pride flag with white and black text, the images read: 1. “ Creating my own gender”, 2. “Creativity has no limits”, 3. “Gender creative and thriving”, 4. “Gender creative and proud”.)
Based on this asexual flag, with no white stripe (which represented allo allies). Blue representing aroaceness as in theseflags. [ID: 3 stripes with black, blue and grey]
These ones are for neurogender queeries, neurodiverse/neurodivergent/neuroatypical (gender)queeries and neurogenderqueeries, I couldn’t find good neurod and main neuro- (attraction) flags nor a good queer chevron symbol.
Censari – a combination of cenrell and faesari; a gender identity where one feels most comfortable within the gender neutral spectrum, but still feels a strong attachment to both masculinity and femininity.
If you have any problems with this particular flag design, please let me know. I may take the post down & will certainly do my best to correct the issue.🦋
[ A five-striped pride flag- blue, cyan, white, yellow, red- with a purple four-pointed star atop it. ]
Here’s my “prototype” flag for my stellar/stellic gender system, made with the help of @libragender and based largely off of two prior multigender flags.
The colors are half based on actual star colors and half designed to have meanings- the spread of colors across the radiative spectrum is intended to reflect the diversity of multigender identities, and my attempt at assigning meanings is – Blue – gender fluidity, by way of reference to the genderfluid flag
– Cyan – xenogenders and other distinctly outside-the-norm genders, partly because stars can’t shine cyan (the proper color would simply be a lighter blue, which doesn’t work as nicely on a flag)
– White – lack of gender in all its forms, whether partial or complete
– Yellow – similar genders
– Red – contrasting genders
– Purple – At the moment this is just a placeholder- the current plan is to vary it by the eight-or-so granular identities in the stellic system list.
Please tell me what you think of it! I am worried it is similar to other flags, mostly, though I feel the meanings could use some elaboration too 😛
Genderbátis: a slightly masculine gender that feels windy, warm, and related to the sea, wind, and rain
Genderpluvego: a gender that feels related to Gendertorento, and is masculine. It is connected to huge rainfalls, floods, and rivers. A part of the Genderstajon system
Gendertorento: a gender that feels related to rain, torrents, downpours, and deluges. A part of the Genderstajon system
Gendersalmoura: a gender that feels saline, warm, and related to salt water. A part of the Genderstajon system
Genderaqueus: a gender that feels warm, submerged in water, and related to water, summer, and autumn. A part of the Genderstajon system
Genderledus: a gender that feels frozen, solid, and easily fluid. It is connected to snow, ice, water, and the Arctic. A part of the Genderstajon System
Gendermarohundo: a gender that feels bubbly, soft, round, and seal-like. it is connected to seals, cold ocean water, and winter. A part of the Genderstajon system
Genderaigua: a gender that feels watery, fluid, and clear. It is related to water, summer, and warm weather. A part of the Genderstajon system
Genderbambulla: a gender that feels small, round, bubbly, and fragile. It is related to soap, bubble baths, warm water, and summer. A part of the Genderstajon system
Aquafalonian: a large, grand, and warm water related gender. it is connected to waterfalls, warm summer weather, rain, and the feeling of cold winds
Genderakva: a gender that feels warm, calming, and wet. it is connected to rain, water, and the ocean, among other things. A part of the Genderstajon system
there are a bunch more, but here are just some of them!
Libragender: A gender identity that is mostly agender, but has strong connections to masculinity and/or femininity. That connection may be static (libragender, librafeminine, libramasculine, etc) or fluid, where one feels that the gender one experiences changes (librafluid).

feeling like a boy, but soft, unlike mol— which is often referred to as “blurry,” gentle, and kind.
girlsoft and enbysoft are essentially the same, but with the experiences having girl as the base and or with a nonbinary gender as the base respectivelly
the girlsoft flag replaces the blue with a light pink, enbysoft replaces it with light green
(thank you @uncommongenders for encouraging me to coin this term!)
Sens- [when paired with an ending]: Relating to the trans(masc/fem/neutral/xeno) experience, but only sometimes, temporarily, or not completely. Examples could be people who are genderfluid (so would only be sens- during certain genders), people who are genderflux (similar to genderfluid), or who are bigender/otherwise polygender and only experience some part of the trans(masc/fem/etc) experience.
They’re kind of similar to the ad- terms, but not exactly. The ad- terms are linked here [link]. Please note that this is not my trying copy, replace, or steal those terms. These terms occupy very separate, yet similar, spaces.
Also just as an fyi, im nondysphoric trans friendly, and you don’t need dysphoria to use these terms (in fact tbh I can think of a lot of reasons nondysphoric trans people would like them, but I’m not gonna gatekeep either way)
OH also–anyone can use any of the terms; the terms don’t imply an assigned gender at birth.
Examples of who/why:
Someone who is genderfluid and may feel a connection to trans[blank] or ad[blank], but not for long periods of time/not permanently.
Someone who is genderless and feels that their transitioning has nothing to do with their gender, just with their presentation.
Or, really, anyone that feels their gender and how they want to transition doesn’t ‘match up’ with how people perceive them.
Flags are as follows:
Sensmasculine (blue)
Sensfeminine (pink)
Sensmascfem (purple, for when you’re sensmasc and sensfem)
Sensneutral (yellow/orange)
Sensxeno/Sensother (green)
-sighs- i am so sorry but i changed this back to the original definition. i shouldnt have changed it in the first place tbh it was fine as it was.
A gender that is related to a planet, celestial body, or astronomical object in our solar system. Umbrella term for linnutgender, sonnegender, lunirgender, mercugender, venugender, terragender, marigender, juperigender, saturnigender, uranugender, neptunigender, and plutigender.
This flag is a depiction of the solar system using the planets from each individual flag.
Mascu- An attraction to masculine gender expression regardless of someone’s gender. Fe- An attraction to feminine gender expression regardless of someone’s gender.
Andr- An attraction to androgynous gender expression regardless of someone’s gender.
Xen- An attraction to
xenine
gender expression regardless of someone’s gender.
Terms coined by anonymous | Flags by me !
👀 im… Xenmascu-Oriented
Pls where are all my xenmascu pals, I’m drawn like magnet, need pals, I need a discord server/category/channel so I can tell y’all how much I love and appreciate you
Vaz- describable in similar ways to Azathoth; a calm chaos, vast, magical, nebulous (or just connected to celestial bodies in general), has a crystal fluidity(it can change shape, but *it* will never change), and is influenceable by music.
Vog- describable in similar ways to a shoggoth; a calm chaos, small and contained (as compared to vast), magical, connected to celestial bodies, and a crystal fluidity.
Mis- connected to femininity
Cus- connected to masculinity
Nos- connected to neither femininity nor masculinity
Las- connected to both femininity and masculinity
And the gender part at the end can be switched out with fluid/flux/boy/girl/etc
Gendervast: A gender that can be described by many different labels, but is only one gender itself. The gender is hard or impossible to describe with just one term. Similar to gendercollector but it isn’t fluid.
The flag colors are representative of varying gender experiences. The fuchsia is for feminine, purple for genders that are both masculine and feminine, blue for masculine genders, and the shades of green for neutral, genderless, and/or xenic genders.
definition: a gender identity that is mostly agender, but has a strong connection to a different gender; a scale, where one side is agender and one side is a binary gender. the agender outweighs the binary gender, but it is still there. a libragirl is someone who is mostly agender but is partially a girl, and a libraboy is someone who is mostly agender but is partially a boy.
definition: a gender identity that is very near but not quite another gender. a paragirl is someone who is vaguely a girl but not quite, and a paraboy is someone who is vaguely a boy but not quite.
note: this can be accompanied with any gender, like paraagender, paraneutrois, etc.
definition: a gender identity where someone has moved on from identifying as a gender but still has ties to that gender.
a postgirl is someone who has moved on from identifying as a girl but still has gendered ties to identifying as a girl, and a postboy is someone who has moved on from identifying as a boy but still has gendered ties to identifying as a boy.
definition: a gender identity where someone is moving toward identifying as a gender but hasn’t fully embraced the label yet. a pregirl is someone who is moving to identify as a girl but has yet to fully embrace the term, and a preboy is someone who is moving to identify as a boy but has yet to fully embrace the term.
definition: a gender identity where someone feels mostly the binary gender “opposite” the one they were assigned (ie trans girl / boy), but also is somewhat fluid in gender. for instance, feeling mostly like a trans boy but also sometimes being agender or nan0girl.
definition: an orientation where someone is polyamorous but practices monogamy because the thought of maintaining more than one relationship at a time is too stressful/difficult.
definition: an orientation where someone doesn’t care about romance or sex until it’s time for romance/sex and then they are kinda like “okay, might as well!”
note: only for use by people on the aromantic or asexual spectrum.
definition: an orientation where someone wants to be in a romantic relationship but is not romantically attracted to anyone; an orientation where someone wants to be in a sexual relationship but is not sexually attracted to anyone.
note: only for use by people on the aromantic or asexual spectrum.
definition: an orientation where someone’s attraction only comes on by depictions of romantic/sexual acts (ie drawings or writing), not the acts themselves in real life.
note: only for use by people on the aromantic or asexual spectrum. this term has been proposed as an alternative for autochorisromantic / autochorissexual.
definition: a gender identity where someone’s gender is connected to the fictional characters or species they identify as; a gender identity where someone’s gender changes based on which fictotype they feel most at the moment.
definition: a gender identity where someone’s amount of gender varies over time. one day, they might feel really gendered, and the next day, they might have a very weak feeling of gender, or not feel like any gender at all.
note: this is different from genderfluid because while genderfluidity is a shift between different genders, genderflux is more like varying intensity.
Cosmicgender: A gender so vast and complex that you are only able to process a small bit of it at a time. like viewing the night sky through a telescope you cannot hope to see all of it at once however you may gain more knowledge about parts of it the longer you focus on one part. may contain any number of sub genders within it that may present themselves to you. it is infinite in its possibility.

June the nineteenth – pangender
Pangender is a nonbinary gender identity where the person feels all genders that are applicable to them (so not genders that are dependent on certain ethnicities or neurodivergencies) ~ Liam
There are several symbols for plurality as a whole, but we haven’t seen any specifically for polyfragmented/polymedian/polymultiple systems. So we made some!
Inspired by the alchemical symbol for mercury; associated with communication, travel, acquisition of knowledge; patron of those who present a mask to the world via necessity. Plants under mercury tend to affect the nervous system and have finely divided leaves, much like how nerves divide.
Find the transparent versions + discord emojis in the reblogs!
DNI or use if anti non-traumagenic systems or ace/aro exclusionist.
hi tumblr!! frankly the viramoric flag is ugly and hurts my eyes a lot, it was a very unpleasing flag 2 me!!! so i rebranded it!! if u want 2 use it please please credit me!! the blue represents men and red is LOVING THEM!!! thats pretty much it!!!!!
note: this is NOT an inherently queer/lgbt+/etc. label, it has more to do with neurodivergence and how it affects sexuality.
this was coined by @scigender and myself, z made the flag!
centreian: used as a sexuality modifier. it is when you experience normal (as in, normal according to your existing sexuality) attraction when single but due to neurodivergence, your sexuality is noticeably changed when you are in a relationship with someone, and revolves around them for the period of the relationship if not longer. this term is useful because it may prevent the individual from feeling truly connected to their “actual” sexuality, even if they are still technically mspec/gay/straight/ace/etc.
Hyliagender- A gender that is connected to Hylia from The Legend of Zelda; a gender that feels bright, powerful and pure, and as if it is more than itself.
Demisebaonic: A gender which is based on or connected to Demise from The Legend of Zelda; a gender which is strong, dark, fiery and dangerous.
Nayruic- A gender based on or connected to Nayru from The Legend of Zelda or the Triforce of Wisdom; a gender which feels wise and mature and may be connected to water, ice or the sky.
Faroric- a gender based on or connected to Farore from The Legend of Zelda or the Triforce of Courage; a gender that feels courageous and full of life and may be connected to nature or lightning.
Dinbaonic- a gender based on or connected to Din from The Legend of Zelda or the Triforce of Power, a gender which is powerful and intense and may be connected to fire or lava.
A discussion with @libragender led to the realization that there are several terms for multiple genders and for partial genders, but not many more granular terms for multiple genders or the combination of these.
My apologies for the extreme nerdiness inherent in this. I hope you will find the terms useful!
These can be used on their own or as adjectives for another term or system- it may also be useful to use shorthand terms from something like the alloy system, but I’m unsure if the creator of that system is okay with using them like that.
the list is organized like: – identity (star namesake): explanation
binary: just another term for bigender
– spicic (alpha virginis): when one has two genders of fairly similar proportions
– almazic (epsilon aurigae): when one has two genders but one is confusing or obscured
– siric (alpha canis majoris): when one has two genders of varying proportions
– procyonic (alpha canis minoris): see siric, but the proportions are counter to the standard assumption (perhaps use in conjunction with “libragender”, unless there’s a counter term?)
– miric (omicron ceti): when one has two genders that fluctuate in proportion
– cygnic (cygnus x-1): when one has either one or two genders, but a strong component of one’s gender identity is agender or demigender
trinary: another term for trigender
– gliesic (gliese 667): when one has three genders of fairly similar proportion
– rigikenic (alpha centuari): when one has three genders, two of which are much more prominent than the third
– polaric (alpha ursae minoris): when one has three genders, one of which is more prominent than the other two
– fomalhic (alpha piscis austrini): when one has three genders of varying proportion
– algolic (beta persei): when one has three to four genders that fluctuate in proportion
– quvidelic (qv telescopii): when one has three to five genders with some components being agender or demigenders
quaternary: and so on
– xitauric (xi tauri): when one has four genders of fairly similar proportion
– capellic (alpha aurigae): when one has four genders, two of which are major and two of which are minor
– mizaric (zeta ursae majoris): when one has four genders of varying proportion
quintenary:
– dabihic (beta capricorni): when one has five genders of fairly similar proportion
– mintakic (delta orionis): when one has five genders of varying proportion
– almachic (gamma andromedae): when one has five to six genders that fluctuate in proportion
sextenary:
– betucic (beta tucanae): when one has six genders of fairly similar proportion
– castoric (alpha geminorum): when one has six genders of varying proportion
– sagatic (sagittarius a*): when one has six or more genders with some components being agender or demigenders
septenary+:
– djabbanic (nu scorpii): when one has seven or more genders of fairly similar proportion
– arcassic (AR cassiopeiae): when one has seven or more genders of varying proportion
– trapezic (trapezium cluster): when one has more than seven genders that fluctuate in proportion to each other, or if one has many genders of chaotic proportions
I’d love to hear your feedback, especially if you have suggestions for things I missed or if I misuse anything! @lgbtqiarchive@variant-archive
Did you have an idea for a name for this system of terms?
I’m not strictly sure it needs a name, though that would probably help. Of the terms for multiple-star systems, I suppose “stellar system” may work the best- I don’t think it’s been used before, and I don’t think it’s quite as easy to confuse for something else as, say, “binary system” 😛
I don’t think there’s one by the name of “stellar system,” so that should work! I was mainly asking for tagging purposes.
i didn’t see anybody coin this before, but someone pointed out there’s already a flag for spidergender but it genuinely hurts my eyes so
[image id: a pride flag for spidergender. the flag consists of five vertical stripes, with a silhouette of a spider superimposed over the stripes. the stripes are colored dark gray, gray-ish purple, and dusty purple, from the outside in. the spider has eight eyes, all of which a darker color of purple. end id.]
spidergender – a gender that feels connected to spiders, spiderwebs, arachnids, and (tangentially) the dark. it feels evil, but not by nature. more by circumstance. when you try to approach it, it scuttles away, as though it doesn’t like humans. it feels comfortable in the dark.
can be used in combination with any gender, and is not feminine, masculine or androgynous on its own- though it expresses itself slightly differently depending on what it feels most related to.
[image id: the same flag as above, except any instance of purple is replaced with a dusty blue. end id.]
spiderboy – a masculine variant of spidergender. this gender feels slightly smaller than its feminine variant, though not by much. you’d have to analyze it to spot the difference. this variation is masculine in nature.
[image id: the same flag as above, but with dusty pink instead of blue. end id.]
spidergirl – a feminine variant of spidergender. this gender feels larger and more intimidating than its masculine variant. this variation is feminine in nature.
[image id: the same flag as above, but with dusty yellow instead of pink.]
spiderneutrois – this gender is neither masculine nor feminine, but entirely neutral. it seems a bit camouflaged, but with some looking you managed to spot it. this gender is androgynous/gender neutral in nature.
alternate flag:
[image id: the same flag as its origin, though green instead of yellow.]
Monolithogender
A monolithic gender; a gender identity described as massive, inflexible, gigantic, rigid but more specifically unitary, standing alone, just as a monolith.
Not essentially monogender, suptilian/gendersolid or comgender, it’s more likely auin(gender) [autonomous/autonomique in nature]. It can be combined with -enby (monolithenby), forming a monolithic nonbinary gender.
Alternative names: monolithgender, monolitogender, monolithicgender, monolithigender, monolitigender, monolithique, monolitique, monogenderlithic.
The second definition was just synonyms ascribed to monolithic.
Alright since I kinda hate every proposed replacement for the lesbian flag, and the original flag doesn’t work because the creator is kinda shitty and it’s nearly impossible to make any merch with it, I created my own version:
The colors are based on actual color symbolism.
Pink (#FF99CC) – romance
Lavender (#9966FF) – femininity
Black (#0000) – sexuality
and of course the lesbian symbol
Here’s also the version without the lesbian sign, if that’s what you’d prefer.:
The flag is meant to be inclusive of everyone: a-spec lesbians, trans lesbians, nb lesbians, butches, femmes, futches, poc lesbians, lesbians of any religion etc. and so on. Feel free to use at your leisure.
EDIT: When I say that lavender represents “femininity” that does not necessarily refer to presentation, more so just the idea of it. A connection to womanhood, even just through loving women. However you choose to view it. 🙂
Anyway, I made a second version with a prettier pink. I think I prefer the first one, but whichever one you pick is fine with me.
Because I don’t like the current lesbian flag proposal as it looks like a butch/femme flag, and not all lesbians are butch or femme. Also because it uses half of the lipstick lesbian flag created by a racist, biphobic bigot.
Here are the meanings:
Dark blue: Openness. This refers to the community being inclusive of all lesbians of varying experiences, ages and backgrounds. Gender norm subversion. This refers to the different ways lesbians defy gender norms (including being trans) and how lesbians in general are often viewed as a ‘different’ from straight women because of their attractions.
Violet: Violets. These represent the flowers given to sapphic lovers. Healing. This represents healing from the pain of homophobia and heteronormativity through embracing our identity.
White: Soft and tenderness. Whilst lesbians, especially masculine and androgynous lesbians, are often viewed by homophobes as ‘aggressive’, this represents the side that women lovers see.
Peachy Pink: Love and affection for women, both within dating/relationships/friendships and towards women in general because of shared experiences of misogyny.
Maroon: Passion and sexuality. I thought was important to include this, due to often societal denial of sex and relationships in general between women having the same value or meaning. Sexuality can also refer to the lack of and complicated relationships with, in the case of asexual lesbians, aromantic lesbians and stone lesbians, and sexual roles between women.
Black: Strength. Strength for coping with homophobia and misogyny and violence against women, to keep going and thriving despite oppression. Protection. How lesbians both protect both each other and stand up to protect other marginalized groups including others in the LGBT+ community, people of colour, disabled people and other women.
It also has 6 stripes, like the original rainbow flag. This is because I wanted to acknowledge what lesbians and gay men share (i.e. being gay) whilst making it very different to also acknowledge the differences between the identities.
I don’t expect people to latch onto it since others already have a favourite. But I made this for me because I didn’t like any of the current suggestions.
So, there has been a lot of discourse over the current lesbian flag. A lot of people feel that the current flag doesn’t represent them and/or dissagrees with the designers ideals. So I decided to make yet another pitch for the new flag. The color scheme is based on violets witch is our flower, and each stripe has a different meaning.
I want to elaborate on the white stripe because I feel it’s the most important, all lesbians means trans lesbians, poc lesbians, disabled lesbians, butch lesbians, femme lesbians… just all lesbians!
That’s all. If you want to use this flag please do, you don’t need to ask me. I worked really hard on it so likes and reblogs are very appreciated!
If you’re a lesbian on the internet I’m sure you’re aware of the lengthy discussions surrounding the lack of consensus about our community’s pride flag. This new addition may be a symptom of that problem, but I also hope that it provides a solution.
First of all, what’s wrong with the current flags going around? I think a major issue is that they break rules of good flag design. A good flag is simple enough that it can be drawn by hand – the gradientflags are difficult to reproduce from a set of basic colors, especially if you try to recreate them out of actual fabric. The specific colors of the gradient flags are often hard to remember and this is made clear when reproductions of them seem to have copy-pasted them from a google search. An ideal flag is something that a kid could draw with plain old markers.
It’s worth mentioning that the pink gradient flag was initially intended for “lipstick lesbian” pride – it was never meant to be a universal lesbian flag, and many people have expressed alienation from it. The pink/orange version of it attempts to recognize a broader sense of the community, but suffers from the same design flaws.
I find that many other flag proposals either lack visual coherence, try to incorporate too many elements, or have little symbolic meaning in their creation and seem to tack them on as an afterthought.
My answer to all of this is the following:
This tricolor flag is both distinctive and simple, while holding plenty of symbolic meaning.
Violet – The giving of violet flowers has historically been associated with lesbian love. Violet was used in the labrys flag (which has fallen out of popularity due to its use of the black triangle – it is still debated whether or not it is appropriate to reclaim this symbol.) The color purple has long been associated with homosexuality and LGBT activism in general. This stripe represents both the rich history of lesbian communities as well as our essential place in the broader LGBT community.
Pink – This stripe’s color is taken directly from the gradient flags. It retains its meaning of proud femininity.
Orange – Inspired by the “butch” recolor of the gradient flag, this color represents gender-nonconformity in women (orange being the opposite color to blue in color theory.) Gender non-conforming women are often under-represented while historically facing the brunt of homophobia on the front lines of LGBT activism. This stripe highlights their importance to the community.
The effect of the three colors subtly references the pink/orange gradient flag without being a direct edit of it. Most importantly, it is easy to reproduce in pride art and merchandise.
This flag has no white stripe between orange and pink and instead places them next to each other, as a nod to butch/femme culture and its significance to lesbian history. It also indicates that butch/femme is a specific subculture under the lesbian label, rather than a spectrum that all lesbians must fall on.
(Some bonus color symbolism – this flag is reminiscent of a sunset, a phenomenon caused by the filtering out of blue light – here, a nod to the lesbian ideal of always prioritizing women.)
This flag also lends itself well to edits that include text or symbols:
All three of these colors are also found in Gilbert Baker’s original pride flag.
And there we have it! A lesbian pride flag that references history, streamlines elements of previous iterations, and is easy to replicate and distribute.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you give this design some thought. Got any criticism? Praise? Please comment or send a message. All feedback is greatly appreciated!
Me, sorta? An anon suggested a blue/purple version but it would have been indistinguishable from the butch lesbian flag so I suggested this one. So I guess it’s a joint effort between me and an anon.
That sounds interesting! By fused do you mean like there’s some sort of mixing between the two where they’re joined? Like how venngender is (Definition: When two genders overlap with each other, creating a whole new gender; like a venn diagram)? If you could explain the fusion part a bit more that’d be cool (but no problem if you can’t, it just might help other people who might be feeling something like this!)
And I’m not sure if comparing it to conjoined twins is ok, it seems a bit ableist
(Sorry if I seem like I’m trying to pick this apart or anything! The idea sounds cool!)
Gender Neutral pride flag(already existed, but only in thumbnail sizes, so I remade it) If posted pls credit @autistic-italy.tumblr.com
Thank you for helping find so many designs (although I can’t exactly credit you for this one since you didn’t design it)
I also have a question about these three you submitted:
I saw them on the button etsy you linked to me, but that’s the only place I’ve seen them used and I haven’t been able to find them anywhere but there. Do you think you can find the original button maker and ask them where they found these designs? Thanks!
Looks like someone already beat you to the blue/purple idea and used it for the Butch lesbian design:
I tried it with blue/green instead, I think it looks distinct enough. What do you think?
And I dunno about the other idea, I think the brown colors might be so distinctly “bear” that just removing the pawprint will just confuse people, but who knows!
These next few terms are based off the Galactian System, a set of terms used to describe “gendered” nonbinary experiences. The first term, solarian, is a replacement for “male/masculine-aligned”, and is defined as identifying partially with a masculine gender/having ties to masculinity. This is a broad nonbinary term that can be used to describe more specific terms, but can also be a stand alone term. Those who identify as solarian have a masculine gender, but their gender expression can be anything (as with all genders). The term was coined by @stellunarian . The first flag was made by @temp-nb-blog
This term is also part of the Galactian System, a set of terms used to describe “gendered” nonbinary experiences. Solstellarian, also known as Novarian is described as being both Solarian (see previous post) and Stellarian, someone with a neutral alignment. Someone who is Novarian can be aligned with both masculinity and neutrality at the same time, or be fluid between them. This is a broad nonbinary term that can be used to describe more specific terms, but can also be a stand alone term. Those who identify as Novarian have a masculine and neutral gender, but their gender expression can be anything (as with all genders). The term was coined by @stellunarian and the first flag was made by @temp-nb-blog!
This term is also part of the Galactian System, a set of terms used to describe “gendered” nonbinary experiences. Sollunarian, also known as Eclipsian is described as being both Solarian (see previous post) and Lunarian, someone with a feminine alignment. Someone who is Eclipsian can be aligned with both masculinity and femininity at the same time, or be fluid between them. This is a broad nonbinary term that can be used to describe more specific terms, but can also be a stand alone term. Those who identify as Eclipsian have a masculine and feminine gender, but their gender expression can be anything (as with all genders). The term was coined by @stellunarian and the first flag was made by @temp-nb-blog!
If you’ve been following my Galactian alignment posts, this one is a sum of them all. The Galactian System refers to a a set of terms used to describe “gendered” nonbinary experiences. Solstellunarian, also known as Galaxian, is described as being Solarian (see previous post), Lunarian, someone with a feminine alignment, and Stellarian, someone who is unaligned/neutrally aligned. Someone who is Galaxian can be aligned with masculinity, femininity, and neutrality at the same time, or be fluid between them. This is a broad nonbinary term that can be used to describe more specific terms, but can also be a stand alone term. Those who identify as Galaxian have a masculine, feminine, and neutral gender, but their gender expression can be anything (as with all genders). The term was coined by @stellunarian and the flag was made by @temp-nb-blog !
These next few terms are going to be a part of the edited Galactian System to include partially aligned experiences. (The Galacian system is a set of terms used to describe “gendered” nonbinary experiences.) Demi-Solarian, also known as Dawnian is described as being partially Solarian (see previous post). Someone who is Dawnian may identify with a demigender, and may identify as something else partially. This is a broad nonbinary term that can be used to describe more specific terms, but can also be a stand alone term. Those who identify as Dawnian have a partially masculine gender, but their gender expression can be anything (as with all genders). The term was coined by @stellunarian rian and the first flag was made by @temp-nb-blog !
This is a term used in the edited Galactian system, which describes “gendered” nonbinary experiences. Demi-Novarian, also known as Solstian is described as being partially Novarian (see previous post). Someone who is Solstian may identify with a demigender, and may identify as something else partially. This term may mean the user experiences partial masculinity and neutrality at the same time, or may be fluid between the two. This is a broad nonbinary term that can be used to describe more specific terms, but can also be a stand alone term. Those who identify as Solstian have a partially masculine and neutral gender, but their gender expression can be anything (as with all genders). The term was coined by @stellunarian rian and the flag was made by @temp-nb-blog !
This term is part of the edited Galactian System, a system of alignments used to describe “gendered” nonbinary experiences. Demi-Eclipsian, or Twilightian, is a term used to describe someone who is partially Eclipsian (see previous post) Someone who is Twilightian may identify with a demigender, and may identify as something else partially. This is a broad nonbinary term that can be used to describe more specific terms, but can also be a stand alone term. This term may mean that the user experiences partial masculinity and femininity at the same time, or is fluid between them. The term was coined by @stellunarian rian and the flag was made by @temp-nb-blog !
This is (as far as i know) the last masculine/male aligned gender alignment in the Galactian System, but go check out the rest of them for non-masculine related alignments! Demi-Galaxian, or Constellian is defined as identifying partially as Galaxian (see previous post). Someone who is Constellian may identify with a demigender, and may identify as something else partially. This is a broad nonbinary term that can be used to describe more specific terms, but can also be a stand alone term. This term may mean that the user experiences partial masculinity, femininity, and neutrality at the same time, or is fluid between them. Those who identify as Constellian have a partially masculine, feminine, and neutral gender, but their gender expression can be anything (as with all genders). The term was coined by @stellunarian and the flag was made by @temp-nb-blog !
This term is under the genderfluid label, meaning only someone who has a fluid gender (or fluid perception of their gender) can use this term. Genderfaun is described as being fluid between all genders except feminine genders or woman. This means you can be fluid between any genders on this account or any neutral, unaligned, agenders, xenogenders, etc. as long as the gender isn’t feminine. (Feminine in this case does not refer to gender expression, rather gender identity. A feminine gender is one that is similar to or resembles womanhood, like demigirl for example.) Those who identify as Genderfaun have a fluid non-feminine gender, but their gender expression can be anything (as with all genders). The term was coined by @shadowofthedude on tumblr and DeviantArt and the flag was made anonymously!
This term is also under the genderfluid label, so only those who percieve their gender to be changing or their labels change can use. Genderfaunet is very similar to genderfaun (see below) and is described as being fluid between all genders except woman. The difference between the two is that genderfaun does not include feminine or partially woman genders, while genderfaunet does. Both, however, do not include woman. Those who identify as Genderfaunet have a fluid non-woman gender, but their gender expression can be anything (as with all genders). The term and the flag were made by @pantasticenby !
This gender falls under the genderfluid umbrella as well, and can only be used by those who percieve their gender or labels to change. Genderfaer is described as being fluid between all genders except man. It is the counterpart to Genderfaunet (seen below) While genderfaer does not include man, it does include any masculine genders (hence its spot on my list), as well as agenders, unaligned genders, feminine genders, nonbinary genders, xenogenders, etc. Those who identify as Genderfaer have a fluid non-man gender, but their gender expression can be anything (as with all genders). The term and the flag were made by @pantasticenby !
This (I believe) is the last of the Genderf- terms (under the genderfluid umbrella) that includes masculine genders. Genderfrith is describes as fluid gender that never encompasses genders that are completely removed from masculinity or femininity. This means that all the genders a genderfrith person experiences are either masculine or feminine, but never unaligned, neutral, or agender. If you want to specify that your gender is never fully woman, you can add -et to the end to make Genderfrithet. If you want to specify that you never experience being fully a man, you can add -er, making Genderfrither. Lastly, if you want to specify that you never experience being fully a man or a woman, you can add -en to the word, making Genderfrithen your term. Genderfrith and it’s flag were coined by @kalliepride , unsure who specifically coined the extra endings. The extra ending flags were made by @uncommongenders ! The flags are very similar to eachother so notice they are in order: Genderfrith, Genderfrithet, Genderfrither, Genderfrithen.

no, david jay technically did not make the current four-stripe flag, but the person who made it took direct colors from the triangle flag, which he did contribute to. i should not have to explain how that is not better.
you do not have to use this flag if you don’t want to. you are your own person, i do not control you. you do not have to use this flag even if you would like a redesign, but do not agree with or just not like this one for whatever reasons you may have. i am not going to claim that it is the pinnacle of meaning or color theory or whatever. use it, don’t use it. use only some of it, add in more colors, take away colors, change colors, change meanings. make your own entirely different flag if that’s what you want to do. regardless, if it should do anything, i want it to inspire change. because that’s what needs to happen.
note;; as far as i’m aware, there isn’t anything as wrong with the current aro flag. the person who made it seems decent enough, and the colors have nice, inclusive meanings. the only reason i made my own aro flag is because my ace one didn’t match terribly well to the current one, and i thought the option for something more matchy would be nice. use this aro flag, or don’t. use this one and the current one interchangeably. make your own. do whatever you want. i have the exact same feelings for it as my ace flag.
a gender where the relation to a childhood toy or toys in general is so strong it becomes an important part of you!! i used the original 1960’s fisher price chatty phone as inspiration because i have yet to meet someone that doesn’t know what it is!!
The green represents neutrality, while the pinks and blues are associated with femininity and masculinity respectively. The purples and yellows, on the other hand, are commonly associated with androgyny and nonbinarity itself respectively. The different shades represent how the pronoun’s user may feel connections to such concepts at varying degrees.
Okay, here’s my pitch for a new lesbian flag. The creator of the rebranded lipstick flag turned out to be racist and biphobic and we needed a more inclusive flag anyway. None of the current proposals appeal to me so I figured I’d take a stab at it.
I felt like pinks were a little too reminiscent of the lipstick flag, so I went with a redder color, and opted for violets and indigo since violets are so commonly associated with lesbianism. I also worked out some rough meanings. (That middle one says trans and nb lesbians if you can’t read it. Sorry!) But yea a pretty lesbian flag is what we deserve.
Gradient Aes and Redesigned Genderfluid Flags for anon
I did 2 bc I wasnt sure what they meant by “same 5 stripe flag but gradient”. Since the 1st idea I consider less of an actual redesign and more of an aes flag. So I decided to do both.
Color Meanings for the 2nd design: The Flow Between Colors – the flow between one gender to the next Pastel Yellow – gender outside of the binary, including both temporary genders, lack of gender, and one’s genderfluidity as a whole Green – genders outside the binary but related to it, including demigenders, genders similar to binary genders without being them, etc Blue – manhood, masc genders and fluidity Purple – how the genders you experience can come together to form a whole new identity as a whole Pink – womanhood, fem genders, and self love
Ok, I’ll be honest. While I don’t the whole “blue =boy & pink = girl” thing. BUT I kind of choose to make the flag that way bc like, I always wished the genderfluid had a yellow stripe for nonbinary genders within one’s genderfluidity.
Because while my genderfluidity includes both binary genders, I kind of disliked how my nonb genders had to be lumped in the “all/many genders” white stripe instead of its own separate thing, but with my binary genders, they both got their own stripes. It’s like my binary genders are a part of my experience and I am aligned with them, but they don’t define my gender as a whole. They’re just a part of it like everything else.
I feel the exact same way, I wished there was a yellow stripe on there too
My take on it was poorly done though which is why I asked for you to do it. Here was mine
So here’s my genderfluid redesign in different stripe patterns, one in the original style and the other in the a slightly different one. Because if there’s one thing I like about the original design, it’s that the stripe pattern is unique. But even tho I was requested to do a gradient one, gradient flags arent really a unique pattern imo. There’s so many gradient flags (ex. lesbian flag, rainforest gay man, the blue gay man one, the green & blue gay man one, aro/aceflux flags, genderfae/faun/flor/frith, etc). So I didnt really iconic enough to me. Click here for color meanings
I’ve coined a new term: Noxvir. It means anyone who is male or male-aligned, partially or wholly, with a gender that can be compared to the darkness and overall feeling of nighttime.
This is a type of xenovir identity, which is any male or male-aligned xenogender.
a state of being where you believe that due to a trauma you experienced in your life, your sexual attraction has split between physical attraction (what gets you “sexually excited” physically) and psychological attraction (what you have sexual fantasies about, what you might dream about, etc). The emphasis here is that there’s a sharp/distinct disconnect between your mental state of being and your physical state of being in regards to what you find sexually attractive.
I’m currently not taking anymore GLG requests, i have 2 i still need to finish and then im going to focus on orientations that arent glg specific, genders, and expression, and aesthetic flag edits and icons, but I will put it on my list for when i start those requests back up!
