I couldn’t find any neurogenders specifically for avoidant personality disorder, ODD, or Munchausen’s Syndrome, but here’s a long list of neurogenders for the other things listed and more general/vague ones.
General
Altegender: Derived from shortening the phrase “alternate existence.” It is a xenogender that feels as though it’s in a parallel dimension, on a different plane, in a mirror universe, or just in an alternate existence. Originally created to explain the distance one might feel due to neurodivergence, specifically dissociation or depression, it is still usable for any person who feels distanced from their gender.
Angegender: A gender where you can’t describe it with any word but hatred or anger. Usable only by neurodivergent people with mental illnesses that cause anger or hate.
Caedogender: A gender which has been “cut away” by a traumatic event. A gender that was once felt but has been damaged or lost due to trauma.
Commogender: 1) When you know you aren’t cis, but you settle with boy or girl for the time being. 2) A feeling that one is definitely not cis, but is unable to define what their gender is due to mental exhaustion. May be used as commoboy/commogirl if the person identifies with a binary gender for convenience.
Degender/Virflux: When your gender fluxes based on exhaustion or stress; more exhaustion/stress causes one’s gender to decrease in intensity. Similar to virgender, except fluxing.
Foggender: A gender which is close to a certain gender, but cannot be directly pinpointed due to brainfog (a lack of concentration or wakefulness associated with ADHD, fibromyalgia, depression, etc.)
Genderdisordered: A gender that is heavily influenced by, or unable to be defined because of disorganized thinking or a thought disorder.
Affectugender: A gender that is affected by one’s neurodivergency especially fluctuating moods, e.g. feeling like a boy during depressive episodes and feeling more like a demigirl during euthymic episodes.
Genderdisturbed: Having a gender that you cannot or do not want to define due to anxiety, repulsion, disturbance, etc.
Genderwhat: Being unable to understand the concept of gender or of having a gender due to neurodivergence.
Half-binary: Gender identity is partially binary and partially nonbinary AND/OR Identifying at least partially as one or both binary genders, yet feeling disconnected from them due to self doubt, or due to neurodivergence making ones gender difficult to understand.
Illusogender: When you know you’re a certain gender, but there’s still the feeling of ‘fakeness’ there, either due to neurodivergency and/or due to outside pressure from parents, society, etc. These feelings and/or pressures can be part of the gender experience.
Maestusgender: In which the individual’s brain chemical imbalance obscures, masks, or otherwise distorts their self perception and stunts their ability to determine gender identity. This term is exclusive to neurodivergent people.
Mimicnull: A gender that is purely mimicry and reaction to outside stimuli. You have no real baseline gender, just an absence where your gender would be. (Designed for neurodivergent folks but anyone can use it).
Monstergender: Someone who has a weak or even no sense of gender with feelings of inhumanity replacing the missing sense of gender identity. Mostly intended for neurodivergent people.
Nesciogender: A gender one is not completely sure of due to one’s neurotype disallowing a clear understanding of the concept, but has a vague sense of what it could be; i.e. nescioboy, nescioagender, etc.
Neuroboy: Feeling connected to masculinity, but disconnected from gender due to neurodivergency.
Neurogender: A term to describe when one’s gender is linked to someone’s neurodivergency. It can be both an identity and an umbrella term for genders that are limited to neurodivergent individuals. This term is exclusive to neurodivergent individuals.
Neurogirl:
Feeling connected to femininity, but disconnected from gender due to neurodivergency.
Nōlōgender:
A term for neurodivergent people who have difficulty grasping the concept of gender. Distinct from nesciōgender in that the individual has no particular desire to investigate their gender, as doing so is overly difficult due to their inability to understand the concept of gender.
Obligender: Having a partial connection to your assigned gender due to trauma.
Pendogender: Never being satisfied with your gender no matter how well it fits due to self-doubt, causing one to compulsively search and seek out something that fits even better. Gender perfectionism. This term is exclusive to neurodivergent people only, specifically coined with people with anxiety disorders, OCD, and OCPD in mind.
Spaciousgender: 1) Numerous genders that are small and far apart. 2) A gender that feels spread out like a gas. Note: This term is exclusive to developmentally/intellectually disabled people.
Traumatgender/Traumatagender/Trautgender/Trauatgender: A gender that varies; it can change a lot, it could be unknown, it could just be there, it could be nonexistent, etc. whatever it is, it was based from intense trauma. should only be used by those who have experienced or are going through what they consider intense trauma.
Vaguegender/Gendervague: A gender being mostly or around a certain gender (or mostly around a certain gender), but is only approximate on account of difficulty defining it due to one’s neurodivergence.
Virgender: A gender identity that feels weakened by stress, to the point where one is nearly genderless.
Xumgender:
Never being satisfied with your gender due to constant self-doubt or identity issues, causing one to compulsively search and seek out something that fits as perfect as possible–to find “the gender” or “the one truth”–though one will never be found due to one’s neurotype, because words will never be able to describe it, and/or its own properties paradox itself. This frequent anxiety and doubt even causes this gender to feel imperfect to the individual.
Fractalgender: A gender where one’s gender consists of many different patterns, components, or other genders; and its inner complexities can only be understood within the context of being neurodivergent. If a neurotypical person tried to understand it, they would think they’re seeing the same patterns at each layer, hence the “fractal”, when in fact each layer means something different to the neurodivergent person.
Visigender: A gender that is best described using images, visual aides etc., as you are unable to put it into words due to neurodivergence. For neurodivergent people only.
ADHD
Prismgender: a gender that adapts to one’s moods and hyperfixations and that is impulsive decisions and inability to settle.
Anxiety
Anxiegender: A gender affected by anxiety.
Genderanxious: A gender that is undefined because the act of finding a label, or of having a gender, is a trigger for anxiety.
Imnigender: A gender defined by anxiety. Not “your gender makes you anxious” so much as “anxiety is your gender”.Note: only to be used by people with anxiety disorders.
Kynigender: A gender which is not able to be pinpointed due to the stress of the questioning process causing anxiety.
Technogender: Only comfortable with one’s gender when using technology/online, usually because of social anxiety (Specialized for people with anxiety disorders).
Autism
Autigender: A gender which can only be understood in the context of being autistic or when your autism has an effect on your gender in some way.
Fascigender: A gender experience largely related to a special interest.
BPD
Bordergender/Borderfluid: A fluctuating gender experienced exclusively by people with BPD. A gender identity lacking a firm grasp on one’s identity, while still experiencing gender, to varying degrees, but having trouble pinning it down to just one label or identity. Having the sense of grasping at labels as much as possible to describe a gender one keeps questioning because one keeps second guessing one’s sense of self and, consequently, one’s sense of gender. Can be combined with relevant genders.
Exagender: A gender for use by people with BPD. It is influenced or affected by the approval of others. It is usually affected or altered by splitting, which can result in a gendered feeling that is in contrast with the person’s ‘actual’ experience of their gender.
Rencgender: A gender that confuses and infuriates the person whose gender it is because of their BPD, causing the person to impulsively collect labels trying to find one that fits.
Bipolar
Cyclogender: Describes a bipolar person whose gender identity is tied to what type of episode (manic, hypomanic, depressive, mixed, etc.) they are experiencing at that moment.
Polarian/Polargender: A gender for a bipolar person whose gender changes depending on what type of episode they’re experiencing. This is a gender that can only be reclaimed by people with forms of bipolar disorder.
Depression
Cavusgender: You feel one gender when not depressed and another when depressed. The gender felt whilst depressed can be attached as a suffix (eg cavusboy, cavusgirl, cavusnonbinary, cavusace.)
Gloomgender: Nonbinary/indifferent. Mostly darkness, the new moon phase, apathy and a mix of a bit of masculinity, bit of femininity and lack of gender. Can include sadness, grief and depression.
Lipsigender: A gender which, when thought about, triggers bouts of depression. For use only by those with depression/depressive disorders.
Hadengender: When you feel your gender/genders weaker when depressed. Different from Cavusgender in that your gender/genders doesn’t/don’t change, it just weakens (like it’s fluxing).
Depregender: A gender influenced by depression.
Dysphoria
Outergender: a gender characterized by dysphoria, alienation and feeling wrong, different from everyone else. Fluctuates in clarity and definition
PTSD
Corugender/Flashgender: A gender identity that changes during and around flashbacks. For use by people with PTSD or other mental illnesses causing flashbacks only.
Posted! Also, what you were thinking of was cadensgender, musigender is linked to musicianship or music theory while cadensgender is the one influenced by music
The definition for arithma/arithmogender includes positive and negative as being incorporated in the identity. I would think one could replace the suffix with their number or specify it otherwise.
Dreamgender is already a term for when you’re a different gender in your dreams than when you are awake. If thats how you feel, the flag is below, if not then i could help you coin another term for it and then make a flag.
the updated gilbert baker flag, with added colors from the philly pride flag and the victory over aids flag as well as a white stripe to represent the nonbinary community, taken from monica helms’ trans flag!
“If you assign pink to girls and blue to boys, that doesn’t make every other color a shade of purple.”
I cannot for the life of me remember where that quote came from, but I know it was used to explain to me what agender first meant, and it helped me to come to terms with my own identity. For some context, this is what the “official” agender flag looks like:
EDIT: I got feedback from the POC community, and made a few alterations.
Change 1: I swapped the order of the colors for the three POC stripes. It was a concern that having the lightest color on top would promote colorism, and that is NOT what I want this flag to be associated with.
Change 2: I changed the color that represents the black community from literal black to a dark brown more true to skin tone. While the original use of #000000 was due to its presence on the 2017 POC LGBT+ flag, there were several POC who were uncomfortable with it on my flag and suggested dark brown as an alternative.
So! Here’s the new and edited version. It still looks just as nice and I’m glad I got the input and commentary I did. Thanks to everyone who voted for the change!
Hello! So, I was about to use the polyamory flag for my RedBubble, but I realized that the current flag’s colors hurt. So, I decided to redesign it and add some meanings that I felt were important!
I will be making RedBubble designs with this flag, but you are free to also make designs, art, edits, etc. with the flag!
Omnigaybian: Gender-fluid, with one’s attraction to other genders changing with one’s gender(s) so that the individual is always a gaybian; the combination of omnigay and omnilesbian; an omnigay lesbian or a gay omnilesbian.
Alternate labels: omnigeisbian, omnigei(seric), omnigesbian, omnigheybian. Gaybian is a mix of gay and lesbian. Gay could mean queer, ultric/ultramoric, homo-/similar- or same-gender attracted, gay man/gayan, mlm/vincian/floric or simply unstraight/nonstraight, it’s up to self-interpretations.
In my case, I use omnigaybian for myself in the sense that I’m gendersublime, so that one part of my genders are static (not essentially solid/stable) and I’m always partly gay/lesbian (hence plurigender).
[image description: nine bunting banners showing various aro-ace or
aro-ace identity flags. Each banner has six flags hanging from a brown
rope, cut with a chevron shape at the base, with vertical stripes in
each flag’s colours. Block black text outlined with grey, one letter per
flag, sits atop the stripes reading “Aro Ace”. Flags in descending
order: yellows/black angled aro-ace variant, greens/white/purple aro-ace flag, narrow-stripe combo aro-ace flag, black/blue/grey aro-ace flag, black/green/white/lime/white/purple/black agender aro-ace flag, pinks/blues aro-ace flux flag, black triangle with blue stripe demi aro-ace flag, reds/yellows/blues demi aro-ace flag and blue/grey/white/grey/blue grey aro-ace flag.]
Bunting Banners – Aro-Ace, Part Two
My first post of aro-ace banners, including the electio and oriented aro-ace flags, can be found here.
Announcement posts/author credits for all aro-ace flag variants are available on the #aroace tag on the @aroflagarchive Tumblr.
So I’ve been thinking about switching to use the demi designs by @crimsxnflxwerz but I needed a version that would fit better in sets and work for icons so I made some square versions for demiromantic, demisexual, and demiaroace that are free to use, no credit needed
I was thinking that I liked the idea of aroaces being represented by the color blue (taken from the oriented aroace flag and my subsequent aroace flag) and then I had the thought to apply that to some other a-spec identities that have two separate flags for aro-spec and ace-spec but nothing for people who are both leading to these demi-aroace, grey-aroace, and aroaceflux flags based on that idea
[Images: the demiromantic/sexual, greyromantic/sexual, and aro/aceflux pride flags, edited to have their purple/green stripes (depending on whether it’s the aro or ace variety) replaced with blue tripes. The demi-aroace flag has a blue middle stripe, the grey-aroace flag has a blue tripe on either end of the flag, and the demi-aroaceflux flag is a pink to blue gradient. End description.]
Im demiromantic and demisexual and wanted to show pride for both without needing two separate flags. I cant find anywhere else to put this so i hope its fine for me to submit it here. I just want this to be spread for others who want it. I made it by putting both demi flags on 50% opacity and flipping the demiro flag horizontally and lined them up, then i just made the black of the triangles (excluding the new line of color) actually black instead of the grey they were due to the opacity shift
heres what i came up with? please bear in mind that i am not and never identified as demi- so i don’t hold any say in your community and especially what your flag should look like!!
So I was informed by a nonbinary friend that my trans nb flag looked more like a rework of the original trans flag. So i made a different variant for use that captures the some feel as the trans masc and femme flags but with colors that better represent trans nb people. Feel free to use it, and I hope that it’s well received.
Hey- uh- Please don’t hate me but- I’m coining a gender term- yeah-
Sextagirl A gender that feels/is roughly/about/precisely one sixth girl, while being mostly something else. I’ll be making flags for other terms like sextaboy soon, just bear with me. @beyond-mogai-pride-flags
I know. 😅 Before I knew about xenogenders, I’d seen “x” being used for genderless (and sometimes non-binary) people, like on genderless-gibberish’s post. It seems both communities have adopted it.
I was unaware of its use to refer to xenogender folks when I used it (I’m not sure when it was first used for xenogender folks either so idk who used it first, I have seen xlm/xlw/etc used for genderless people before I used it)
however if it causes to much confusion then I’m perfectly willing to try to come up with a separate acronym for genderless people loving other genders
I wanna clarify that I was only using your post as an example and wasn’t trying to imply you were the one who started xlg for genderless people. Your usage of the abbreviation definitely wasn’t my first encounter with x meaning genderless.
As for alternatives, I’ve seen alg used to mean agender loving gender, but I don’t really like that considering it’s agender specifically and not genderless overall. Using g probably wouldn’t work since they’re all glg terms… Maybe add a second letter to x (or g)? Like how nblg is used for non-binary people.
any followers have any opinions on this?? idk if I’m gonna change it but I haven’t finished thinking about it
I use -ag-, just as -ng- and -gq- is used for neurogender and genderqueer. Reminder -x- is also used synonymously to -g- (gender, generic) and -nb- (nonbinary) and consequently -n-.
Specifically it’s -xe- for xenogender, once some folks used -xeno- entirely. -x- is vague.
Respect Agender people’s pronouns. Just because they look like a girl, or a boy, does not mean that’s what they are.
Also respect if they would like to be called He, She, or other pronouns as well. Just because they like gendered pronouns doesn’t mean they are any less of an Agender person.
Practice using they for ANYONE, until you know their preferred pronouns. Never assume.
mspec gay flags for anon! unlike my mspec gay man flags, these flags are for anyone who considers themselves gay – men, women, nonbinary folks, everyone! so mspec lesbians and mspec gay men could use these if they prefer them to the more specific flags, and all mspec gay nonbinary people can use them!
basically, no matter your gender and the genders you’re attracted to, if you’re mspec and gay, these flags are for you!
heck yeah i can because it’s a concept i love and hold very dear !!!
girl-proximal (proximal means “near to”; i use girlprox for short!) is a term made to include
women (cis and trans, just to affirm that) and
trans folks who are not necessarily women (or are not 100% women as some demigirls may ID, or are not always women as some genderfluid folks may ID, etc etc) but who experience a connection to girlhood, but not girlness.
women (group 1) experience girlness because they are girls. they will usually also experience girlhood. girlprox non-women (group 2) experience girlhood, but not girlness, because they are not women.
girlhood is a Very Large Concept and one that is difficult to pin down, because it has so many applications. here are some examples (not by any means all of them):
a connection to femininity
a connection to women, despite actual gender identity
a sense of belonging in women’s spaces (specifically in that nebulous community that i believe anyone girlprox creates just by existing near other girlprox folks)
a feminine or femme gender presentation
experience with misogyny
being assigned female at birth and holding that significant to one’s identity
holding female-assigned experiences significant to you and your life (ex: girl scouts, attending an all-girl school)
and, of course, identifying partially or sometimes or always as a woman – this is not required for girlhood, but often accompanies it.
i count myself as girlprox because i am not a girl, but femininity and female community and female-assigned experiences are important to me and my identity and my life. women also fall under the girlprox umbrella, because they’re not only near ‘girl’, they are girls. the term is just less necessary for them!
i created this because i believed that there was a space and a community for associating with girlhood outside of women’s spaces that belong to women (and are therefore not for girlprox non-women). i wrote {this} about it a little while ago! also worth checking out are {these tweets} by my friend Emery, which are Important and Relevant!
On the one hand, I like it.
On the other hand, why do all the terms for semi-female between-gender people always involve “girl”? As a person in my 40s, “girl” is infantilizing, and perpetuates the assumption that non-binaryness is a childish notion for young people.
I once heard a trans-masculine person describe themselves as ‘politically female’ – they don’t identify as female, but being seen as female was a significant part of their life experience and the struggle for women’s equality is something that continues to be very important to them regardless of how people see them now. I thought it was a great term, though it may not be quite what this writer is going for.
hi friends, thanks for sharing your thoughts – i appreciate your input! this is a relatively old post, but absolutely still a relevant concept & theory to me, so i’m always excited to see new additions.
@once-a-polecat, at the time i wrote this post, i identified much more strongly with “girl” as opposed to “woman.” now that i’m active in academia (and identify more as an adult, woman-proximal person) i tend to use “woman-proximal” or “wprox” informally.
a big issue here is that “girl” is infantilizing for adults, but “woman” can feel uncomfortable or even threatening for younger folks (and honestly, even for some older folks), so at this point in my discursive development, i’m kind of using both terms…not interchangeably, but in reference to the same general related concepts / communities, to establish that girl/wprox individuals can use whichever one speaks to them more clearly. yes, it’s convoluted, but so is gender!
@inthroughthesunroof, this IS a relevant addition, but i want to make it clear that i do not tend to think transmasculine folks should consider themselves girlproximal. i believe masculinity is defined by an active rejection of femininity & girlhood / womanhood, so i don’t think it’s possible for people who are actively moving towards masculinity to be wprox! that’s not to say that transmasc folks who identify with their experiences in womanhood can’t do that, but it is a really different experience, and shouldn’t be classified alongside folks who are actively moving closer to / aligning with womanhood.
although i don’t wish to police that person’s personal ids, i’m uncomfortable with the term “politically female” for…a lot of reasons (uncomfortably similar to “political lesbian,” for starters, but also claims, i think, more…stake over womanhood than i feel ok with?). i’ve put a lot of thought into a word / concept that describes transmasc relation to womanhood and related experiences (i.e. discovering and building identity thru association with lesbian communities, placing emphasis on woman-associated experiences pre-transition, etc……there’s a lot there!!) but i’m still unsure.
i was thinking about “woman-tangent” or “tangential,” to describe that one’s identity & experience absolutely collided with womanhood and may have been constructed & influenced by it, but are no longer aligned with it – but those feel kind of clunky, so! still lookin’.
again, thanks to both of you for your additions! i really like being able to talk about this and feel out what i’m trying to articulate, so i appreciate the opportunity. i hope both of y’all are having a good week thus far!
I totally agree that there should be a term indicating the validity and association a nonbinary afab person has with womanhood/girlhood. Because other people have mentally categorized me as female whether I like it or not, a lot of my experiences are similar to that of women and girls. I can relate a lot to the struggles of women and girls, but it makes me feel uncomfortable to include myself in women’s groups or spaces because I’m not a woman. I want to be able to express my solidarity and understanding without being invalidated. I’m agender, and I’m getting top surgery, and overall I have more masculine leanings, but I’m not a man, nor are any of my experiences similar to those associated with manhood or boyhood. I like the concept of tangential, maybe tanfem? While I find myself checking most of the boxes for wprox at this point in my life, I still think further distance from the concept of female is important so that my own identity isn’t invalidated by anyone, including myself.
Hydrangi: an androgyne (or other lingender) that externally presents more masculine or feminine depending on their environment or circumstances. Can have other additional presentations as well, but usually only in rare circumstances, or at least rarer than masc and fem.
I’ve been wanting to coin a gender based on the hydrangeas for a while. You know, the flowers that (in their typical cultivars) grow bluer or pinker depending on soil PH, but can come in other colors.
[Image: four-striped flag colored with dark-ish red, light red, white and dark magenta (purple)]
Based on @arotaro‘s aroallo flag, I designed this alloace / aloace / aceallo / acealo (acespec aloromantic) / zedace (zedromantic ace) / acezed (zromantic ace-spec).
[Edit] since people were asking the colors meaning: purple already from the asexual flag, representing no sexual attraction and the asexual community, reds represent romance, as opposed to aromantic greens. White stripes originially meant allo allies/allos, but it stands for relationships/love too.
Touch-ambivalent (1st flag): describes a person’s mixed feelings about touches or things relative to it;
Touch-favorable/positive (2nd flag): a person who enjoys touching or participates in sensual acts for any reason;
Touch-neutral/indifferent (3rd flag): having no strong opinions on sensory touch/senses; not pursuing touch but not sensually/sensorially averse/avert to it;
Touch-repulsed/aversed/averted/negative (4th flag): describes a person’s extreme distaste or disgust of touch or sensual things related to it; when you don’t want to engage in sensual/sensorial acts.
All above are regardless of sensual orientation. (Touch involves kissing, hugging, cuddling, etc.).
Flags based on the react flags posted by @beyond-mogai-pride-flags (sex/romance reactions/feelings).
There are asensual orientations for those feelings, such as asensualflux (or arcflux, ambivalence), iculasensual/pothisensual/potisensual (favorability/positivity), cassensual (apasensual or apathsensual, neutrality) and apothisensual/repulsensual/repulssensual (repulsion/aversion/negativity).
Definition: Not really about your gender, but the way you present said gender. For example you could be nonbinary and one day want to present your gender (through clothes and posture and what not) in a traditionally male way and the next day you want to present in an androgynous way.
Other people… other than yourself? I’ve heard the term “ectosexual” used before to describe people who aren’t autosexual, but I haven’t seen it used much.
-privileging or valuing romantic relationships as fundamental
-the assumption that all humans pursue romance, especially by means of a monogamous, long term relationship
related definition: heteronormativity
-belief that people fall into distinct and complementary genders, with natural roles in life
-the assumption that heterosexuality is the norm or default sexual orientation and that sexual and marital relations are most fitting between people who have a vagina and people who have a penis
why it’s bad:
-further marginalises certain groups of people, such as those not seeking long term, romantic, or monogamous relationships
-lays basis for toxic relationships (the idea that marriage, children, living together, sharing beds/rooms, etc, is a must for romantic relationships, even when the people involved do not want to get married/have children, etc.)
-excludes those who don’t value romantic relationships as the most important type of relationship, and places a hierarchy on the importance of relationships, for example “more that friends”, and “just friends”
-in ‘shipping’ characters, a common theme is “they’re too close to be just friends”, which further stigmatises physically close non-romantic relationships
links with heteronormativity:
-linking in with the idea of romance being placed on a pedestal, heteronormativity brings in the concept that a man and woman cannot be friends without sexual or romantic undertones (in fiction), or assumptions that they are dating/flirting (in reality)
examples of amatonormativity in everyday life:
“just friends“, “more than friends“
-”he hasn’t found the right one yet” –> implication that there is a “one” and it’s not plausible to have multiple partners; implication that there isn’t a choice in romantic relationships and they will happen no matter what (”yet”)
-cohabiting with siblings, friends, multiple partners, living alone, or living with pets (”crazy” cat lady) after you’ve left uni or reached a certain age is frowned down on, being seen as a sign that someone isn’t “ready” to settle down (as though you cannot chose to not) and that they aren’t “mature” enough (as though your personal relationships indicate maturity)
-a woman and a man living together and not in a romantic relationship will lead people to believe they’re “in denial”, as though it isn’t possible for two people to knowingly reject a romantic relationship
-two friends raising a child together is seen as weird; idea that two people must be romantically involved and/or married to have a child; the idea that a child must be raised by romantically “loving parents”, dismissing other types of love, and the fact that you don’t have to want romance to be a good parent
-more than two people raising a child together (poly relationships, groups of friends, siblings) isn’t “normal” –>idea that relationships must be monogamous and romantic to raise a child
-single parents (by choice), see above points
-idea that only two romantically involved people can raise a child also links back to heteronormativity, idea that two people of the same gender are inherently bad parents
-forms of physical intimacy between friends are interpretted as romantic or “ew”, ie, friends holding hands, kissing on the lips, having sex
A new xenogender (mogai) likened to science and its disciplines.
It functions as an umbrella term for the genders that fall under it in the scigendology gender system, a project of mine that is being worked on.
“Science knows no country, because knowledge belongs to humanity, and is the torch which illuminates the world.”
― Louis Pasteur
[ BEGIN IMAGE ID:A pride flag for the xenogender scigender, which functions as the flag for the scigendology gender system, a work in progress. The first image is of a geometric five stripe flag with green and blue corner stripes, an image of a magnifying glass overlaid on top of the light blue center stripe. The second flag is a version without the magnifying glass symbol, and the third is a simplified horizontal stripe version, also with the five stripes. END IMAGE ID. ]
Definition: Scigender (adj. scigendific) is a xenogender likened to science and its disciplines, AKA the fields of study which fall under it. It feels like pure curiosity, a thirst for knowledge, and the euphoria of discovery. Can be referred to as a gender on its own, and additionally an umbrella term for all the genders in the scigendology gender system (WIP).
This was a request for someone on Twitter – requests are always open!
Lambgender can be used in two ways. It can be used to describe a pure, soft gender, regardless of masculinity, femininity, or androgyny.
It can also be used to describe a gender that’s influenced or fueled by a kinship, interest, or hyperfixation with lambs.
The colors were picked directly from pictures of lambs and slightly desaturated to fit better together. Optional pronouns: lamb/lamb/lambs/lambs/lambself, woo/wool/wools/wools/woolself, or 🐑/🐑/🐑s/🐑s/🐑self ((This is NOT a sexuality nor an attraction to animals.))
***THIS IS NOT AN ATTRACTION TO ANIMALS. THIS IS A GENDER NAMED AFTER ONE.***
shelleic: an aesthetigender linked to seashells along a beach, particularly at sunset. could have been formed by ‘collecting’ genders that fit this aesthetic, in the way that one collects seashells as they walk along a shore.
boneic: an aesthetigender linked to bones in forest brush, particularly during rain. could have been formed by ‘collecting’ genders that fit this aesthetic, in the way that one collects bones as they explore a forest.
wildfloweic: an aesthetigender linked to wildflowers along a path, particularly on a sunny day. could have been formed by ‘collecting’ genders that fit this aesthetic, in the way that one picks flowers as they walk along a path.
featheic: an aesthetigender linked to feathers scattered on the ground, particularly on a cloudy day. could have been formed by ‘collecting’ genders that fit this aesthetic, in the way that one collects feathers from the ground.
passiogender: a gender influenced by gender being a neurodivergent person’s special interest/hyperfixation (could be considered a subset of autigender/fascigender/chaotigender/etc.)
Omnilarumansy: believing you experience all forms of attraction (sensual, romantic, aesthetic, etc.) EXCEPT romantic attraction. This could be reasons such as: trauma, believing you just don’t have romantic attraction for others, you find the concept of romantic attraction confusing, etc. This is an identity term, not so much a specific attraction term.

What gaybian flag should I use? Should I combine omnigay+omnilesbian existing flags? If so, which omnigay flag? Or must it be totally unique, just as omnique, @neopronouns and @salppho flags? (Without an X in genderfluid flag) Answering: yes I could, but it would be the subsequent questioned options I offered.
betulgender (from the Latin word for birch): a gender closely related to nature and can be used by plantkin, and has a strong and unmoving but constantly growing feeling. you know what i know this is sarcastic but idc! when i was making that custom gamegender flag for that other tr*ll i decided it was strange how there was a gender connected to a game but not a sexuality, so i decided to take the gamegender flag designed by @gayglitch and reverse it to create a gamesexual and gameromantic flag.
gamesexual: a sexuality only experienced through the lens of a certain game; a sexuality that has a stronger presence in relation to a certain game; sexual attraction to those affiliated with a certain game.
gameromantic: romantic attraction only experienced through the lens of a certain game; romantic attraction that has a stronger presence in relation to a certain game; romantic attraction to those affiliated with a certain game.
and here’s a minecraftsexual and minecraftromantic variation that i’m just melting over bc they look so much like the demiromantic/aromantic flag:
minecraftsexual!
minecraftromantic!
and i actually have a lot of fun making these and they’re so valid so laugh all you like at me, idc!
that’s not how the scale works because it’s economic left and economic right but ok.

There isn’t yet. But if there was, I guess that would be politicogender.
i think there would be different ones (ex. anarchogender or communigender) instead of just politicogender
I think anon was asking for an umbrella term. But that sounds also cool, but some politicgenders couldn’t be shortly prefixed, such as socialistgender (because it’s a socialist gender itself).

this isn’t a separate term- it is still bisexuality. it still means an attraction to both sexes. this term was inspired by bambi lesbians. the definition is:
this label describes a bisexual who is more interested in cuddling than they are in sex. this isn’t just for biromantic asexuals, but they are free to use it if they please!

Also, I should mention about the pink triangle flag, some sources might refer to it as a generic lgbt flag but the pink triangle is a gay male symbol only (maybe generally achillean?)
I honestly haven’t been able to find a fixed definition or much information on this. Does anyone know more details about this?
-Hermy
The pink triangle was used by the Nazi party as a patch placed on gay men to make them obvious to the public. Same as they used the Jewish Star to make Jews stick out in a crowd. Later these people would be killed in German concentration camps.
So uh I decided to make some gay flags! So here are my fox pride flag and a fairy pride flag! Fox being a young gay man (aka an animal name version of twink, to go along with bear/wolf/otter) and fairy being a reclaimed slur abt feminine gay men! (Both based on the bear pride flag!)

So, a while back I got an anon asking if I knew of a librafluidflux (librafluix) flag. I couldn’t find any, so I wanted to try to making one. Unfortunately, I couldn’t narrow down my designs, so I’m posting all three of them here. I made a libraflux flag as well because I couldn’t find that flag either.
Librafluidflux (Librafluix):
A libragender in which the connection to gender is fluid between two or more genders/gendered feelings, and that connection fluctuates in intensity (i.e. the connection can become very strong, weak, or nonexistent).
[Image ID: A flag with nine stripes horizontal stripes. From top to bottom they are: black, gray, dark pink, yellow, teal, gray, black, gray, pastel teal, pastel yellow, pastel pink. End ID.]
This flag I based on the genderfluix flag.
[Image ID: A flag with nine stripes horizontal stripes. From top to bottom they are: black, gray, dark pink, teal, yellow, pastel teal, pastel pink, gray, black. End ID.]
I based this one on the genderfluix flag as well, but I rearranged the stripes to have a more similar color arrangement to the libragender flags.
[Image ID: A flag with seven horizontal stripes. From top to bottom they are: dark gray, gray, light gray, a rainbow gradient from teal to dark yellow to dark pink, light gray, gray, dark gray. End ID.]
This flag is based on heckinsneks’s librafluid flag. The gray gradient is supposed to represent gender fluctuations while the middle stripe rainbow gradient is for libragender fluidity.
Libraflux:
A libragender in which the connection to gender fluctuates in intensity (i.e. the connection can become very strong, weak, or nonexistent).
[Image ID: A flag with seven horizontal stripes. From top to bottom they are: black, gray, dark pink, yellow, teal, gray, black. End ID.]
Juxera:
A gender identity that is related to that of a binary female, but is
distinct from it; a nonbinary gender that is not Female but is derived
from binary femininitity. Juxera is an adjective that describes any
gender that is proximal to Female. Term coined by user
Wulfgendur as a companion term to Proxvir.
Juxera is a term that can be used to describe any gender that is ‘near’ to Female. Juxera can be approached from any alignment on the gender spectrum. The image below shows how Juxera is approached from Masculinity, Androgyny, Epicenity and Genderlessness.
Above: femininity as approached by different alignments in the gender spectrum. The image is read with four axis radiating from the center, “Female”, instead of with two continuous axis.
In The Words of Wulfgendur: “A gender relative to female, but is something separate and entirely on it’s own. it is not outside the gender spectrum”.
Etymology: Latin, from “juxta”, adverb for “near” and “era”, a feminine noun used to refer to a mistress, goddess or other esteemed woman.
Similar to: Female, Demigirl, Madchen, Neutremme, Gynx, Femache
Type of Identity: Genderqueer/Nonbinary, Feminine In Nature (FIN), Fia-spec, Ideobinary, Viabinary, Midbinary, Ciracbinary
Pera or péra (peh-ruh): from Greek πέρα, meaning “beyond.”
Pera is a gender that is not at all a part of, or related to, the gender trinary of male/female/none (or in some cases, neutral). This gender is not at all female, male, androgynous, or neutral. Pera is not a lack of gender, confusion about one’s gender, or apathy about one’s gender. It is completely removed from the gender trinary of male/female/none (or neutral).
While this gender itself is not any of those things, that doesn’t mean a person who is of this gender can’t be those things. For example, someone can be a feminine boy, but that doesn’t make them any less of a boy. The same logic applies here.
Pera is a specific gender and not an umbrella term or gender expression. It can fit under other umbrella terms, but it is itself a singular, specific gender.
You can also be this gender and any other gender, including binary/trinary genders. You could be pera and a girl. You could be pera and neutrois. You could be pera and maverique. You could be genderfluid and be pera at times; etc.
You can use this gender as pera, the same way you use girl, boy, person, etc. or you can say peragender. For example, you can say, “I’m a pera.” Or you might say, “I’m peragender.” Both terms are correct. As mentioned earlier, you can be this gender and others (or fluctuate between them, etc.), and you can combine those terms too. You might say something like “I’m a peragirl,” for example, etc.
Anyone of any race or ethnicity can use this, it is not culturally exclusive. Anyone can use this regardless of what they were or were not assigned at birth, or whether they are intersex or perisex. Anyone of this gender can use any pronouns.
I don’t want to step on anyone’s toes, but as far as I’m concerned, you can be this gender and any sexuality/orientation/etc. If you’re peragender and gay, peragender and lesbian, peragender and bi, peragender and ace, etc.; if any of that sounds right to you, then I’m not going to tell you no.
A few umbrella terms pera can fit under include nonbinary, genderqueer, nontrinary, and aporagenders.
Pera/peragender was coined by @glyzinite (me). Flag created by @glyzinite and friends.
Here’s my explanation of the flag:
The teal and purple really called out to me. We didn’t always have exact words for those colours, and in some languages, they still don’t, but that doesn’t mean those colours don’t exist. The same goes for genders like mine. We’ve been here, but we haven’t always had the right words to express ourselves clearly. I also feel like they parallel people’s need to gender colours like pink and blue, but in a non-binary way. The white represents all colours, even the ones we can’t see, since all the colours combined are white. Humans can see a small portion of the light spectrum, but that doesn’t mean those other colours aren’t there. It’s difficult to represent colours we literally can’t see, but I felt the white stripe helped communicate that. In contrast, the black does the same; maybe we can’t see those colours, but they’re still there, even if they’re beyond our vision. Those stripes help to communicate genders beyond the trinary.
Gravigender: An intense / strong gender identity. (grav- heavy)
Term coined by: Unknown
[image description: a flag with five stripes. the top is purple, and each gets increasingly darker until the bottom, which is dark. three green stars are overlaid on the flag. the outer stars are smaller and higher up than the center star]
[image description: a flag with seven stripes. from top to bottom they are: very dark green, dark green, green, light green, green, dark green, very dark green. a purple star with a thick black outline is centered on the flag]
Just-/another-/mogai-/blog denied my request and it hurt my feelings so I made my own flag
Behold: Hubrisgender

Panpronominal(Panpronominal, also known as Pan Pronouns or All Pronouns,is the act of going by any and all pronouns. This includes the standard pronoun sets (he/him,she/her,they/them) as well as any neopronouns and emojiself pronouns.Unlike apapronoun people who are apathetic about what pronouns are used for them, panpronominal people actively identify with any and all pronouns)
Pansensual Omnigayflexibility (omnigayflexible or omniqueflexible): pangender individuals fluctuating their gender identity and/or intensity while being always sensually attracted to the same gender, but flexible in its attraction/identity.
Pansensual Omnigayflexibility (omnigayflexible or omniqueflexible): pangender individuals fluctuating their gender identity and/or intensity while being always sensually attracted to the same gender, but flexible in its attraction/identity.
There are other ways to make the zspike flag, but here is two.
About the secound: it’s not so inclusive because if you check, depending on the type of attraction there is an allo color, in the romantic and sexual is red, alterous is green, the platonic is blue. It’s on a-flux flags. But this one follows the same pattern only with opposite colors.
Oops there’s already a name for that, and it’s called cease-, and this is the flag:
I’ve lurked this site for 5 years. I’ve had two blogs but I passed about unnoticed, and my posts were just reblogs or archiving of blogs that had just been deleted. So this is in fact my first real Tumblr experience.
The main matter here is that I think I’m having issues with the full name of my gender? I’m not sure which bit of my gender is the caustigender, whether the product (abimegender) or the part being digested (the one that I actually placed as caustigender).
It was easier to write it down in the past but now it’s becoming clogged with the inner logic and my poor knowledge of math, RIP. Anyone wanna help?
If you’re curious send asks and I will try to explain it all.
Some of these are genders that I have coined myself from my studies about my own birth chart in both Western and Vedic Astrologies (the latter of which being properly known as Jyotish):
rahugender – a gender related to the flourishing of the persona that you continually seek to be like, become and present to the world in your mission of material self-actualization, or the desire or greed to keep chasing such idealized state of completion of one’s own goals. a rahugender can generally be contrasted with a ketugender, as if they were opposite missions. has as its symbol the Unicode character for north node of the Moon (☊).
ketugender – a gender unrelated to unrealistic and idealized ego-based self-image yet related to true awareness of one’s inherent positive qualities as a person, that cannot be cancelled by any kind of disillusionment for awareness liberates the self and allows one to see the reality beyond themselves. a ketugender can generally be contrasted with a rahugender, as if they were opposite missions. has as its symbol the Unicode character for south node of the Moon (☋).
karmagender – a gender which comes from an awareness of how the sum of the consequences of one’s past actions as well as their individual desires have created a personal mission for oneself and/or people around oneself and the world at large; such a mission could manifest with a number of hurdles and barriers but at the end of the day, if successful, it would fully transform their self and whichever other focus of needed action are present in their task. rahugender and ketugender are examples of karmagenders.
This may seem weird at best and trolling at worst, but I swear that I do have autism (diagnosed by a psychologist – which technically doesn’t count in Brazil – as having Asperger’s syndrome in 2009 at age 14) and MOGAI identities were my last special interest (2013-2015), with Astrology being my current one (2016-now), so I can’t help but compare them with each other as I analyze myself. Even if I have to unearth big controversies and seem unbelievable to people around me, which is actually a common theme with people who have Scorpio Midheavens like me.
Not to talk about how my Venus and my North Node (or Rahu, in Vedic Astrology) take over my behavioral patterns and goals regardless of my identity, rational mind, feelings or other factors, which means that I express double desire in a Scorpionic fashion, earthly (Venus) and karmic (North Node) at the same time. And how they’re central in my chart according to Jyotish due to being BOTH my Yogakaraka. (Something that, in my practice with modern Western psychological Astrology, with Traditional and Uranian influences, has no direct equivalent, but that I readily identified with.)
Since it rules not just my wider goal in life but also my every behavior and my every desire with deep emotional intensity and a desire to merge with other people and understand it all, it is pretty much part of the reason why my gender is the way it is. And since Venus rules femininity while I was deemed male at birth, it obviously also means it contributes to me being trans.
× combines identities so that they form a new thing,
• separates them, meaning that each element separated by
• could make its own combination with the element outside of the brackets separately.
This is a rough map of how it all works, since I’m pangender, so I actually can relate to most nonbinary labels on Tumblr for some parts of my experience, particularly the non-xenogender and non-aesthetic ones.
my proposed queer flag! i know there is already a queer flag but i wanted to make a new one with fewer stripes that also is a bit more aesthetically pleasing.
the meaning of the stripes from top to bottom are as follows: mlm and nlm, any non-monosexualities, wlw and nlw, ace/aro, men and masculine genders, non-binary genders, and women and feminine genders.
i hope this can gain some traction and recognition as a new queer flag 🙂
It was brought to my attention that the original maker of Flowergender supports some gross stuff, so we took it upon ourselves to remake it! Reminder that xenogenders are mainly used by neurodivergent people. While we personally believe neurotypical people can use them, please keep this in mind! ————————————————-
Flowergender: A gender that is more strongly felt during daytime than at night.
Secondary meaning: A gender that feels strongly connected in flowers, plants, etc. Or a gender that feels deeply and strongly rooted in its self.
Pronouns: Any are fine, but additional pronouns are
To my knowledge, there has been no official coining of the term Femprox or Mascprox based off of Binaryprox. For those that don’t know, Binaryprox is defined as:
A gender that is very near to the Male/Female Gender Binary, but not strictly Male and/or Female. A Binaryprox individual identifies with certain aspects of Maleness and/or Femaleness, but not all aspects.
That means that Mascprox would be defined as:
A gender that is very near to binary Maleness, but not strictly so. A Mascprox individual identifies with certain aspects of binary Maleness, but not all aspects.
And Femprox would be defined as:
A gender that is very near to binary Femaleness, but not strictly so. A Femprox individual identifies with certain aspects of binary Femaleness, but not all aspects.
Naturally, any gender could be substituted for Masc/Fem, producing the word Genderprox. This would be defined as:
A gender that is very near a given gender, but is not strictly so. A Genderprox individual identifies with certain aspects of a given gender, but not all aspects.
Related to the these terms would be Boyprox and Girlprox, which are similar in definition, structure and usage, but appear to have came about separately from Binaryprox.
Here are the definitions for Boyprox/Girlprox, which are the same except for their alignments, and are listed concurrently using a slash:
A term to describe individuals who have a connection to masculinity/femininity, have a connection to the Male/Female gender regardless of actual identity, a sense of belonging in Men’s/Women’s spaces, a masculine/feminine gender presentation, identifying with being AMAB/AFAB if that is their designation, assigning significant value to male-coded/female-coded life experiences and/or identifying or partially identifying as a Man/Woman.
I hope this was helpful to you! I will be adding these definitions to my document.

How does this compare to demiboy/demigirl?
I feel like these are different because Demiboy/Demigirl are like part boy/girl so they imply another gender where as these are just like I have one gender and it is close to male/female but not
My understanding is that Demigender is an umbrella term for gender identities that are partially, but not entirely, of/connected to a particular gender. So, a Demigirl/Demiboy would partially identifying as a girl/boy or having a partial connection to girlhood/boyhood.
Boyprox/Girlprox seems to go a bit beyond that and include other relevant details in the definition, mainly regarding what experiences are considered valuable and a sense of belong (or lack of). These two terms seem to be most comparable out of the bunch to Demiboy/Demigirl.
Binaryprox is a bit different in that it refers to any gender that is near, but not exactly on one extreme, of the gender binary. Another way one could think of it is that within the gender spectrum, Binaryprox encompasses genders near to binary Maleness and binary Femaleness, whether they are in between or outside of the binary. I think that a more similar term to Binaryprox/Mascprox/Femprox would be Offgender/Offboy/Offgirl, Metagender/Metaboy/Metagirl and Perigender/Periboy/Perigirl.
I hope that makes sense! If any clarification is needed, let me know. 🙂
Quartzian – A stable, beautiful gender that is best described with three words: Strength, beauty, and time.
Quartzian is a gender of any alignment that is formed from years of development. The catalyst for this development can be both positive and negative, but it in the end causes great strength and stability. The identity is only a partial one in most cases, though for some Quartzian is a complete label.
Color Meanings:
Yellow: For the happiness one feels when realizing you’ve overcome so much, or are in the process of doing so. Dark Pink: For the difficult times that may have led to the strength of this identity Light Pink: For the happy times that may have led to the strength of this identity White: For the fighting spirit and laughter when people are rude about this or any identity. Grey/Blue: For the forces that built this identity, rushing around it like a river Dark Blue: For the infinite possibilities of what this means on an individual level Green: For the growth of this identity over time; whether you grow into it, or it fades.
a subgender of heroian based off of video game heroes! alongside the typical heroian description, it has a happy-go-lucky attitude in regards to gender. an individual who identifies this way may not be interested in thinking too hard about their gender (at least not at the moment, if they’re fluid). this gender “goes with the flow”, and as such in a fluid context it can, well, flow into other genders, or change expression (go from masc to fem, fem to neutral or etc.)! it could also be used to “help” other genders: to be a bridge between two of them. (like doing a quest!)
original heroian term coined by @neogenders (i hope you don’t mind!! :O)
A new xenogender (mogai) influenced by cosmic horror, coined by yours truly.
“The skies are haunted by that which it were madness to know; and
strange abominations pass evermore between earth and moon and athwart
the galaxies. Unnamable things have come to us in alien horror and will
come again.” ― Clark Ashton Smith
[ BEGIN IMAGE ID:A pride flag for the xenogender horrorcosmium. It has eleven circular stripes, half of which being dark, the rest of which being a gradient from dark purple to dark blue to bright teal. Overlaid is a white image of an eye flanked by two tentacles. A version without this overlaid image follows with the same circular stripes. The last image is a simplified, horizontal seven stripe version. END IMAGE ID. ]
Definition: Horrorcosmium (adj. horrorcosmic) is a xenogender influenced by or related to the genre of cosmic horror. It can not be completely described, as it has no recognizable geometry/shape. It is characterized by its difficulty to be fully known, its contents often inducing dread and confusion in those who struggle to understand it. This cosmic void induces this dread as it often causes people to look into their inner selves to attempt understanding.
Note: Horrorcosmium can be used as a questioning gender for its nature of self examination and being unnamable, though that is not inherently what it is for. Often used by neurodivergent individuals (for example, alexithymia in autism making it difficult to describe mental trains of thought).
Hope you enjoy! I made one with and without the lungs sticker just in case you didn’t like it
:
Love being told that the way my attraction works is homophobic. That’s fuckin great. Not like attraction isn’t a choice or anything, right? It’s only a choice for split attraction, got it. Fuck off
I also designed an alternative bunlibragender (librabunine/librabungenine?) four-striped in the middle if you don’t mind
Librabunity/Librabuninity: A bungender identity that is mostly agender, but has a connection to bungenderinity; experiencing little attachment to bungenrinity but being mostly agender.
Damn you’re right i might like this version a little better lol. Thank you!
EDIT: also librabunine/bunine probably sounds the best out of all of them tbh
AGIN(gender)/XIN(gender) means identities that are agender/xenine in nature, such as demiagender/demixeno(gender)/demixenine.
Xenixic Flag
Xenixic or Nixenic (nixic + xenic): an identity comprised of both genderless and partial xenine or xeno-aligned aspects. Intended for those who feel both connected and detached from xeninity and for those who have difficulty distinguishing their alignment from their gender.
Libraxenine Flag
Libraxeninity (libraxenogender or xenolibragender): An identity that is mostly agender, but has a connection to xeninity/xenohood. This connection may be fluid / static.
Xenagender Flag
Xenagender (xeno+agender): An agender identity that is entirely xenine; or a xenogender/xeninity that is entirely agender/agenine. This can also be known as xenogenderless I guess.
I was asked if multisexual people (bisexual, pansexual, etc.) in a relationship with a monosexual person could use variship. It could be ONLY if the people involved don’t feel the same type of attraction(s) toward each other as it says in the definition.
Example : a biromantic asexual girl in a relationship with a lesbian girl are in a variship because one feels romantic attraction while the other feels romantic and sexual attraction. Not the same attractions in nature on both parts.
Example 2 : a bisexual biromantic girl in a relationship with a lesbian girl are NOT in a variship if they both feel romantic and sexual attraction to each other. Because they feel the same attractions in nature toward each other.
Variship is about attraction(s) felt in a relationship, not orientation itself.
I guess a word to label a relationship where people are not of the same orientation would be useful though! Feel free to coin a word 🙂
