David Jay, the dude who made the ace flag and founded AVEN, sucks shit, so I redesigned the ace flag my damn self since nobody else was doing it.
[IMAGE ID: Two pictures of the same flag. The first one has no text, and has six stripes (white, light grey, dark grey, turquoise, and black) descending horizontally to the middle. The same stripes are on the bottom in a reversed order, with magenta instead of turquoise. The second image has the same flag, but with text over the stripes. In order, the text reads: sex positivity (white), sex indifference (light grey), sex aversion (dark grey), aromanticism (turquoise), asexuality (black), and romantic love (magenta). The bottom grey stripes have no text.)
redesigning the ace flag since im ace and can recognize the shortcomings and double standard created by continued use of the original. see what’s so wrong w the original here(cw for lesbophobia and the d slur).
A flag for cishet, cis lgb and basically anyone who is cisgender and wants to show their support to the trans community.
Stripe meanings:
The trans flag in the center is their support of the trans community , pink represents cis women who support the transgender communities and the blue represents cis men who support the transgender communities.
( i just noticed there was a straight ally flag for the cishet allies and straight trans people but no cis ally flag for cishet allies and cis lgb people so i made one lol)
My friend (@CATBOYHIFUMI on Twitter) and I coined a new term, Ironet(ian), for those who feel discomforted or alienated from the lesbian label due to nonlesbians insisting it may include men or that male-aligned nonbinary people may use it.
You have no obligation to use this term if you do not wish to and we are both open to constructive criticism and suggestions.
[Edit 1]: Please do not harass or send asks to those who reblog this post inquiring its nature, I absolutely do not want to impose hate, stress, or otherwise negative scenarios or emotions onto other people due to them reblogging this specific post. If you have inquiries, concerns, or other statements please send them to me directly. I will do my best to clear up anything.
The meaning of the term in full is as follows:
Ironet. A term for women and appropriately comfortable nonbinary peoples to describe their sole attraction to the such at the complete exclusion of men and male-aligned persons.
This exists as a term for lesbians who have felt alienated or discomforted from their label due to the push for its inclusion of men by nonlesbians or general treatment of of it being an umbrella term; this is a new label without history and thus, it holds an inarguable nature and definition.
[Edit 2]: To emphasize and further explain why my friend and I coined this label, the implications that I could be or, in fact, AM attracted to men makes me feel incredibly uncomfortable and physically nauseous (in the simplest terms, yet in those that downplay both my physical and mental responses’ extremities that I have no dire need to explain) and I need a label for my own personal comfort and wellbeing that excludes them. I understand and know I am not alone in this experience and wish to give this same comfort to those who have a similar reaction or otherwise feel uncomfortable at the implications of being attracted to men due to their own personal experiences.
[Edit 2 (cont.)]: In case this needs to be cleared up, I meant no offense to mspec folx or those who are otherwise attracted to men with this as it would be ridiculous to imply that liking men in any way is inherently bad, some folx just need a label that excludes them for our personal comfort and to be able to describe our attraction as what it is.
Similarly, it exists to completely include those women or appropriate nonbinary people who do not use she/her pronouns, unaligned nonbinary people who feel connected to the label and nonbinary persons in general provided they are not male-aligned, and trans women/trans fem people as, needless to say, they are women or valid within their experienced gender.
Conversely, it excludes trans men or male-aligned people as they are men or are linked to men in some way, shape, or form.
[Edit 3]: Ironet completely inclusive of those who are multigender, have fluid genders, etc. As a bigender lesbian myself who is both agender and genderfluid, it would be incredibly hypocritical of me to exclude us. The label is also inclusive of trans masc. individuals as they are not inherently male.
[Edit 3 (cont.)]: Again, as a nonbinary person myself I well understand that it’s incredibly difficult to surmize the whole of the experience with being nonbinary in spare few sentences, especially in these specific terms due to it being much more than a mere spectrum, but a universe of experiences. Please message me if you have any specific concerns or inquiries.
Note: “Appropriately comfortable nonbinary peoples” is repeatedly expressed in this way as not all n.b folx are comfortable with a(n) lesbian/ironetian being attracted to them due to its inherently feminine connotations or they would not be comfortable with using the label(s) for this reason.
"Ironet(ian)“ in itself is derived from the nature of chivalry, or, more specifically, the word’s association with knighthood and armour’s association with metal, and thus, iron.
The term may not have modifiers attached to it (such as bi or pan ironet) spare if they are acespec or arospec identities, such as aro ironet or demi- ironet. This is not a term that can be used if you are attracted to men and nor can it be modified to imply this.
Flag stripe meanings:
Dark Green: Chivalry
Lime: Freedom and tranquility
Faint purple: Harmony, unity, and different experiences uniting under a common label and community
Pink: Love, intimate relationships, and sex | Support and kindness
I’m helping @cheettai out by posting a flag ae made.
Byumasexual: A sexual orientation term for those who experienced some kind of trauma during the “awakening” of their sexual attractoin/orientation (for example: when one first starts to date or gets curious about their own sexual orientation). Due to this trauma, the concept or idea of “sexual attraction” is a very confusing subject to them. These individuals might have a basic idea of their orientation (”I know I am not straight” or “I know I am not gay”) but beyond that, it is a mystery.
And a commentary on colors from the creator:
I liked the idea of deeping the red to repersent trauma, the gray for uncertainty purple represents what could be a lack of sexuality caused by what happened. Pink is for the idea of young love or first starting to explore sexuality that was the start of this orientation. The black block feels like an interpretation which fits.
Porogender: A gender experience that is specific and/or particular.
Etymology
From Ancient Greek, “Poros” modified to “Poro” meaning “Passage” + “-gender”, an English neologistic suffix indicating genderedness. Coined by
Callista Se Vens on Facebook, 2020. Callista did not originally state the meaning of Porogender. However, user Arco-Pluris was kind enough to inquire about it’s meaning and pass the information onto me.
Flag
Prior to this post, there was no flag for this term. So, I went ahead and created one. This flag consists of five, solid-colored, horizontal stripes of the same size. From top to bottom, they are white, light yellow, red, dark blue and black. The primary colors, yellow, red and blue were used to represent precision and exactness. Black and white were used to represents specificity; positive or negative, yes or no, true or false, etc. Flag by Gent (Gender-Resource), 2020.
Alright so I got a bit more creative than usual with these because the shape of the flag made it a bit easier to sort of “paint a picture” to show the theme compared to other flags that just have regular stripes.
So for the moon one I did this:
I tried to make it look like a moon with light reflecting off of it and the darker areas are the night sky!
And for the ocean one I did this:
And I tried to make it look like a wave! (Not sure how well it translates but that was the best I could come up with)
Alithix: A gender that is based solely upon the pursuit of personal authenticity and nothing more.
Etymology
From Greek, a portmanteau of “Alithis”, meaning “truth” + the modification of
the Latin Feminizing suffix, “-trix”, to “-ix”, meaning “one who performs an
action”.
This term can be modified to a prefix, “Alithi-”, to combine with relevant terms. Examples include Alithineutrois, Alithigirl, Alithimaverique, etc.
Flag
This flag was created at the same time the term was coined, which is this post. The flag has six, solid-colored horizontal stripes of the same size. From top to bottom, they are blue, peach, indigo, coral, purple and light yellow. Flag by Gent (Gender-Resource), 2020.
The colors have the following meanings:
The blue stripes represents self-acceptance.
The coral stripe represents the tireless pursuit of authenticity.
Adimiourgenos: A gender that exists in a state of uncreation.
Etymology
From Greek, a portmanteau of “Admiourgía” meaning “Uncreation” + “Génos”, meaning “Genus”, literally meaning “uncreation-gender”. Coined by by Gent (Gender-Resource), 2020.
This term can be combined with other relevant terms for further descriptive detail by using it as a prefix, “Adimiour-”. Examples include Adimiourgirl, Adimiourgenderless, Adimiouxenoic, etc.
Flag
The flag was created at the same time of the term, which is this post. This flag consists of five, horizontal solid-colored stripes of the same size. From top to bottom, the colors are sky blue, deep aquamarine, black, army green and light beige. The flag represents various modes of destruction and annihilation, as well as the void that is left by it all. Flag by Gent (Gender-Resource), 2020.
The color meanings are as follows:
The sky blue stripe represents lightning; a fiery force of destruction.
The deep aquamarine stripe represents the deep, churning sea during an intense storm; an aquatic force of destruction.
The black stripe represents the void left by this state of uncreation.
The army green stripe represents an unstable mountainside, quietly waiting to collapse; an earthly force of destruction.
The light beige stripe represents the unusual color of the sky when a tornado is imminent; an atmospheric force of destruction.
new gender: selenegender! a short breakdown of what that means:
who is selene? selene is the greek titan goddess of the moon. her roman counter part is luna. selenegender can be understood by NISSL (noctem, imperium, sensus, studium, and luna)
noctem – night
imperium – power
sensus – sensitivity
studium – study and devotion
luna – moon
selenegender uses fen/fens pronouns, stemming from the greek word for moon, however anyone who identifies as selenegender can use their pronouns of choice.
Stadigender: A gender for systems only, a gender that feels like a big stadium for a place for everyones’ genders to run around!
Playigender: A gender for systems only. Simmilar to Stadigender but refers to the littles’ genders. A gender that feels like a play-area for all the littles’ genders!
BTB (binary to binary): a transbinary or otherwise transgender individual who considers themselves as transitioning from binary to binary. An umbrella term to BTF/B2F (MTF/M2F/F2F/FTF) and BTM/B2M (FTM/F2M/M2M/MTM).
ANBTANB/AXTAX/ANTAN/AN2AN/ANB2ANB/AX2AX (anonbinary to anonbinary): a transgender anonbinary who considers themselves as transitioning from anonbinary to anonbinary, as they have always been anonbinary. An alternative for MTANB/M2ANB/MTAX/M2AX/MTAN/M2AN, XTAX/NBTANB/NTAN/A2AX/A2AN/NB2ANB and FTANB/FTAN/FTAX/F2AN/F2AX/F2ANB.
BTX/BTNB (binary to non-binary): a transneutral or otherwise non-binary individual who considers emself as transitioning from binary to non-binary. An alternative to MTF/FTM/FTF/MTF and an umbrella for MTX/MTNB/MTN and FTX/FTNB/FTN.
Transandrogyny (trandrogyny/transdrogyny): a term used to describe transgender people identifying with androgyny to a greater extent than masculinity or femininity.
Transandrogynous/trandrogynous is an alternative to transleptral (transneutral, transnegative, transpositive, transnull), transfeminine and transmasculine. Designed by @decaykid.
Corrected a typo. Alt words: transgynandrous/transgynandry, tranandrogyny/tranandrogynous (as in tranarchy/tranarchist/tranarchism/tranarchal), trangi/transangi/tranangi, transdrogynity/transandrogynity/tranandrogynity/trandrogynity.
It’s been a little while since I’ve made flags, so here’s my best! I made a template for this because I had an idea in my head and couldn’t find a template!
I have one other of this in Red and Gold, if you don’t like this one!
These are flags for an orientation with the prefix “hesi”:
When you feel a certain kind of attraction hesitantly and uncomfortably. Not repulsed by it, but it is off putting. The individual may or may not wish to pursue the relationship.
The top is the general hesi- flag.
Under that from top to bottom, left to right: hesiromantic, hesisexual, hesialterous, and hesiplatonic.
My gender is at least part Femme, but not like..feminine. Just femme.
The closest I can find is
“Femmenby (femmenbie/femby): Holding a nonbinary gender identity and a femme gender expression, or claiming femme as an identity outside of the gender binary (genderfemme).”
I received a large request for eight of nine choirs of angels. As of right now, I’ve dug into looking into angels and I’ve down the first three choirs. Input would be appreciated 💖
I need an ATX (Agender to Xeno) flag (in the same vein as FTM / MTF / ETC)
I’m trying to finish one of my carrds.
Just realized that like,, this sounds rude.
If anybody happens to find a flag in this vein, or makes one, I would greatly appreciate it, but you do not have to.
A made few in the same aesthetic as the trans flags! The pink color is what I got when mixing the colors of the xenogender flag together! Black and green are from Agender and white is the trans flag or the Agender flag!! ♡
A third sex for those who feel male, female or anything outside the gender binary (or inside) doesnt fit.
A mix male and female (not bigender) together. Showing both “male” and “female” exclusive qualities. A Biecoyt person may dress androgynous or feminine or masculine or find their or own style which speaks to the sex.
Pronouns are Bier/Biers/Bieself/Bies/Bie/bierm
Person two: “Yep I have a Biefriend. I really like Bier/bierm.”
Example 1) “I’m friends with this Biecoyt, Bie is going to a pride parade with me.”
Example 2)
Person one: “Do you have a significant other?”
Some questions I have been asked on instagram:
Q: If being bisexual means you like two genders then what term would you use if you like a Biecoyt?
A: For me, I use Pansexual/Panromantic. But if you only liked two genders (even though there is more) then you would just be Bisexual
Q: Why did you make a new sex?
A: Because some people who dont feel that they are trans, non-binary, gender fluid, bigender, agender etc. May feel they identify as a more as a middle gender.. BUT since Biecoyt is not just a male and female mix and it’s its own thing separate from male and female.
Q: But you can’t be born Biecoyt. So how is it a sex
A: Male and female is a default label that can/does branch off into other identities, sexualities and gender. Biecoyt is another default label. And you can be born Biecoyt. Just like you can be born Non-binary and any other gender or identity.
SIDE NOTE: Biecoyt is a cis gender as well as male and female. But Biecoyt is LGBT.
Q: Are you the only Biecoyt?
A: No. My significant other is Biecoyt. It’s a relatively new sex (created by yours truly) which is why I’m doing a Tumblr post on all info about it incase more people feel they are Biecoyt?
MORE INFORMATION
Biecoyt also branches off into other sexualities and genders and gender identities.
Biecoyt-female-aligned: Biecoyt but having a strong relationship to being female
Biecoyt-male-aligned- Biecoyt but having a strong relationship to being male
Biecoyt related sexualities
Biecoytsexual: The sexual attraction towards Biecoyt folks
Biecoytromantic: The romantic attraction towards Biecoyt folks
Biecoytalignedsexual: The sexual attraction towards Biecoyt-aligned folk
Biecoytalignedromantic: The romantic attraction towards Biecoyt-aligned folk
—
To those of you who feel confused about your gender or sex. Biecoyt can really help!! I feel so much more free and confident once coming up with the sex. Honestly I’ve been able to leave home wearing a mix of “male” and “female” clothes. My friend the other day asked me about my choice of clothing. Do you know what I said? “I’m Biecoyt.”

after making my abigender flags, i started thinking about the other numbered polygenders that don’t have flags, so i decided to make some! all flags are formatted like the pxngender flag with colors that correspond to their respective flags, adjusted for visibility and flow. septagender (having seven genders) has no flag, so i had to leave that one out, and nothing above octagender has a flag to my knowledge. also, some of the alt terms may look odd (i’m personally fond of ‘xctagender’), but i wanted to lay out all the options anyways!
Octxgender, hexxgender, pentxgender, quxdgender and trxgender would be better, starting with X sound disharmonious, or maybe use -gxnder/-gxndxr (as in gxndxrqueer and gxnderfluid).

hey xenogender community!! i made a gender for those who have a strong connection to being poggers! i hope you all like it because i worked hard on it :)) you can use whatever pronouns you desire however the ones i have made for poggender are pog/pogselves or poggers/poggerselves. i hope you like it, feel free to use it whether you’re neurodivergent or not!
xenogender time!! warmfae is a feminine aligned gender with a connection to warmth, the earth, and the sun. it feels like summer, and like sitting underneath a cozy blanket by a fireplace. pronoun set is wae/wem/warmself but any set can be used 🙂
@genderfauneevee made the original flag (left), coined the term, and wrote the definition that’s in the quotes below. i just saw @themetisloser make the excellent point that colors with high saturation cause seizures, and thought i’d lend a hand. list of what i changed:
the saturation
and the order of the colors
cooled the tone of the green, blue, and dark purple
made the pink warmer
made my edit look more like an actual flag and less like a greyed out mess
hopefully it’s more accessible and attractive now 💖
“new term – Schizic
A term for when your gender/sexuality is "odd or unusual” and hard to comprehend to others, due to being on the schizo spectrum.
It can also be added to another term, for instance, schizicgay.
While the colors may seem odd and a bit bright, I mostly chose them because, as a person on the schizo spectrum, I feel like bright and clashing colors are a very good descriptor for how I feel about my queer identity.
NOTE: This identity is only for people on the schizo spectrum/people who experience psychosis!“
I have no clue how long this has been sitting in my ask box and im so sorry.
To answer your question, I created the flag. It’s an Asexual flag. not “no-SAM” or “aroace” just Asexual as in “Wants nothing, does nothing”. This flag uses asexual as a whole, complete identity and doesnt use or reference split attraction. Just Asexual.
This flag is for any Asexual who feels no attraction (not even a little) and doesn’t want anything from anybody (not even sometimes). No sex-favorable, no romance-favorable. NOTHING. Content with complete solitude. Entirely for oneself.
I have to be very clear and stern with this because Aces like me are very hard to find, and I don’t want my own creations to lose their purpose
Anyways!! I made a 5 stripe version and a 4 stripe version
I also have an abandoned project with a 3 stripe flag. It looked like a patriotic flag so i dumped it. Maybe someone else will know what to do with it lol
I am quoisexual so the concept of sexual attraction confuses me to all hell when I try to apply it to myself, but sometimes you’ve gotta say “to hell with it,” and have fun creating a term for what might be attraction?? Might not be?? Listen it’s a mess.
So anyway, without further ado:
Quilccion/quilccion attraction!
This a term for quoisexuals and quoiromantics, for feelings that might be romantic/sexual attraction, but that can’t be determined as attraction. It’s a term for the blurred or confusing attraction-like feelings you have, that might not be attraction at all, let alone romantic or sexual attraction.
Essentially, it’s: “I have a strange feeling that might be romantic/sexual attraction, but since I’m quoi I can’t tell what these feelings are nor be completely sure what label they’d fit.”
Some examples of when someone might call their unsure feelings quilccion attraction are:
+ a quoisexual is sex positive and finds their sexual fantasies revolve mostly around one gender
+ a quoiromantic is romance positive and finds their romantic fantasies don’t have any specific gender they tend to focus on
+ a quoisexual feels like their libido might be connected with attraction
+ a quoiromantic wants to cuddle or kiss someone, but isn’t sure whether their want is connected with attraction
+ a quoi person is experiencing attraction, but is unable to tell what form of attraction it is
You can leave quilccion as a term on its own, or combine it with other terms to be more specific in your feelings! So you could be homoquilccion, panquilccion, abroquilccion, etc!
“Quilccion” is pronounced like the word quill, but with “sea on” added right onto the end. Quill-sea-on. Or if it’s broken down even further, kw-ill-see-ohn.
The word quilccion comes from the etymology of “attraction” and “what,” similar to how the quoi- in quoisexual and quoiromantic is “what” in French. Like how “quoisexual” is literally “what sexual,” quilccion is “what attraction.” Which is fitting for attraction that 1. Isn’t clear on what it is, and 2. Might not even be attraction and instead just be something else that seems like attraction.
The flag is based off the queerplatonic flag, as they’re both terms used to mean attraction that sort of goes with one thing, but is also different in its own way. (How queerplatonic could almost be called platonic; how quilccion attraction could almost be called romantic/sexual attraction.)
The flag colors are all taken from the quoisexual and quoiromantic flags, and mean:
– Green: attraction like feelings that might be romantic attraction
– Blue: attraction like feelings that might be sexual attraction
– White, gray, and black: the aspec, as well as the spectrum of experience of what quilccion attraction could be/feels like
If you’re not quoi, you can still use this term, just like how you can use the queerplatonic term even if you’re not aro or ace. But it’s a term meant primarily for those confusing feelings that quoi people might have!
I hope this helps other quoi people! I know it helps me!
[Image ID: A flag with seven horizontal stripes. Flag stripe colors from top to bottom: black, dark gray, white, dark red, white, dark gray, black. End ID.]
Librafemale/Librawoman: a gender that is mostly agender, but has a connection to femaleness/womanhood.
[Image ID: A flag with seven horizontal stripes. Flag stripe colors from top to bottom: black, dark gray, white, blue, white, dark gray, black. End ID.]
Libramale/Libraman: a gender that is mostly agender, but has a connection to maleness/manhood.
So, the original definitions of librafeminine and libramasculine included both a connection to femininity/masculinity and womanhood/manhood. Since femininity is not synonymous with being female and masculinity with being male, I’m proposing the original definitions be split: librafeminine and libramasculine retain the connection to femininity/masculinity part, while these new terms take on the womanhood/manhood part.
This way, libragender folks who feel their genders are just fem/masc and not connected to being a woman/man won’t have to specify how they use the terms and it’ll be more clear for folks who do identify in some way with being a woman/man where their connection lies. It also won’t impose femininity/masculinity on librawomen/girls and libramen/boys who may not necessarily use those words to describe their gender.
The colors are inspired by the demiman and demiwoman flags. Apologies for using blue = male. Other colors I tried looked too close to existing libragender flags.
agatic – agate (colors from landscape agate, similar looking to original flag) / spinelian – spinel / benitoitic – benitoite / aventurian – aventurite (green seems to be most common color) / alexandritic – alexandrite
opalian: a person who is nonbinary loving men (nlm), nonbinary loving nonbinaries (nln), man loving men (mlm), and man loving nonbinaries (mln) at the same time
enboy: a person who isn’t binary, but who still has ties to masculinity in one way or another. also known as nonbinary boy
The first one depicted is the original questioning flag, put here for reference since it’s not well known. The questioning flag palette comes from here.
If you’re questioning where you are on the aromantic spectrum, or whether you’re aromantic at all, then this is for you. Hell, if you already know that you’re aro but you’re questioning another part of your identity, then this is for you too!
As always no credit needed if you want to use this for anything.
A gender marking a connection to wild animals + nature, and detachment from societal norms and the gender binary. Largely related to neurodivergents who not only feel disconnected from other humans as a whole, but also struggle to fully understand or label their gender identity.

Agenamoric
The agender version of diamoric; describing when one’s orientation &/or relationship includes agender folk(s); denoting an agender person’s orientation, whether amorous/gamous/relational/relatious or attractional/affectional.
An umbrella term for terms such as ageninic, neu-, agin-/glin-, magnolian, orchidian, gae-, naneo-, yae-, dahlian, plumerian, lilacian, delphinian, wisterian, azalian, thistlian, agenidian, agenixian, agenipian, agenilian and agenirian. It doesn’t need to be juvelic/glg.
So I think I figured out what I want to call the terms I wanted to coin! Tell me what you think
Thistlian: An agender/genderless person who loves men
Azalian: An agender/genderless person who loves women
Wisterian: An agender/genderless person who loves nbs
Delphinian: An agender/genderless person who loves other agender/genderless people
Possible azalian flag:
The first three colours are inspired by the azalea flower, the white is the absence of colour to represent the absence of gender, and the green is the same shade of green as on the agender flag
I made more flags! The first colours represent the flower they were named after, the white is the absence of colour which represents the absence of gender, and the green is the same shade as on the agender flag.
Thistlian:
Azalian: I know I already posted this one but here’s a more flag-shaped flag
i saw the new(ish) combination terms earlier today, so since there don’t seem to be flags for them yet, i made some! (also!! i have a new label for myself!!! i’m plumerian!!!! 😊😆😊)
Dahlian: An agender/genderless person who loves men, women, nbs, and other agender/genderless people
Lilacian: An agender/genderless person who loves men and nbs
Plumerian: An agender/genderless person who loves women and nbs
i made these flags pretty much the same way @nooonbinaryyyy did, eyedropper tool, pictures of the flowers, even used their flags as a template
let me know how we feel about them!
update! @libragender made a much better dahlian flag:
and i decided i wasn’t satisfied with my plumerian flag, and reworked the colors a smidge!!
i think this rework makes the flag look… clearer, somehow. it’s brighter, it’s more distinguishable, it’s more pleasing to the eye, and it doesn’t match the azalian flag quite as much.
also also, i’ve learned that nb meant NonBlack before us white gays started using it to mean NonBinary, and i’ll be rectifying my language accordingly 💖
update! with the new terms, i made new flags!

i like that! i do think they could potentially be confused for combinations of toren/trixen + enby (toren and trixen being orientation terms), but i don’t think that’s a big enough concern to not coin/use the terms.
Being a system (or plural or multiple, however you prefer to call it), and being attracted to other systems/plurals/multiples/etc, only.
Being Plural and not having attraction to Singlets.
—
Both flags are the same, only one is simple and the other has a symbol.
Disclaimer that making orientation flags are extremely hard for us because we want to have a way to differentiate sexual, romantic, queerplatonic, alterous, etc but am always unsure about where to have that differentiation on a flag, so if someone wants to redesign it that’s super fine by us,
Genderlemon : A gender related to lemons. It’s also citrusy and bright, and both sweeter and bigger than Genderlime.
Gendersprite : A gender related to Sprite. Can be classified as a Trigender (Generlemon, Genderlime, Sodagender), and is sweet with some hints of sour, bubbly, energetic, and citrusy.
I’ve actually been thinking about this since 2018 but I could never properly write down what it was so I’m happy that I finally have a proper description (and flag!) for it ( ꈍᴗꈍ)
Geogender!
Geogender: It can be used as an umbrella term for every person who identifies as any nature related gender or uses any nature related pronouns.
Can also be used on its own, as a gender that feels best in nature, no matter what environment (forests/mountains/etc) Usually only experienced if outside, so the gender changes if the person is indoors.
I don’t think I’ve seen anyone use this term or a description too similar to this so I think it counts as new! Please please tell me if there’s a flag that’s too similar to this so I can change it ^-^
Anyone is feel free to use the term and flag! Please tell me if you found this gender to be fit for you I’d love to know more people who identify as geogender💖
I couldn’t choose between the two flag designs so I’m posting both >~<
Here’s Mistgender! A xenogender that relates to feeling as though your gender is foggy and unclear, or covered by a vail of mist. Having an incomplete vision of what your gender is.
For this gender I coin the pronouns mi/mis/mistself! Though you can totally identify with the gender and not the pronouns and vice versa.
I created this gender as a neurodivergent person for neurodivergent people, but if you are neurotypical you can still use it for yourself!!
Enlios: A nonbinary man attracted to other nonbinary men. They may or may not experience this attraction as gay. (nmlnm) | Pronounced en-lee-os.
Enlune: A nonbinary woman attracted to other nonbinary women. They may or may not experience this attraction as gay/lesbian. (nwlnw) | Pronounced en-loon.
Evolke: A nonbinary man attracted to nonbinary women. They may or may not experience this attraction as gay or straight. (nmlnw)| Pronounced ee-volk-e.
Estelo: A nonbinary woman attracted to nonbinary men. They may or may not experience this attraction as gay or straight. (nwlnm) | Pronounced es-tell-oh.
is an umbrella term used to describe anyone who doesn’t experience platonic attraction the “full”, “normal”, or “acceptable” amount. can also be used by those who know they are not alloplatonic, but are still questioning their specific platonic orientation, don’t want to use a more specific platonic label, etc.
aplspec flag in the style of these acespec and arospec flags! it uses the same color progression (two similar colors, purple, red, orange, pink, blue) and all are taken from various aplatonic orientation flags and somewhat adjusted to be more cohesive.
:
amorfluid enby, agender, girl and boy pride flags

Generally, the opinion from what I’ve seen is that as long as someone partially identifies as feminine and they are attracted to feminine gendered peeps, then they can be wlw. So yes, they can be lesbians. -Admin Kyle
i um. created a xenogender flag!! dis one is foxgender :} i didn’t know if this was alreayd a thing so i just made one myself. feel free to use!!
–
ps- if u didn’t know, xenogenders are mainly coping identities used by neurodivirgent people!! i know i am not actually a dog or whatever it’s just hard to understand a true comfortable identity for a lot of neurodivergent people. ok have a good day!
This pride flag is an aesthetic pride flag called cursedcoric, sadly there was no flag for it so I decided to make my own version of it <333
I made a few different versions just to appeal to the aesthetic
One version where each one is deep fried and the other not, so it’s optional it’s just apart of the aesthetic
The red represents chaotic energy, the orange represents cursed things, such as eating pizza with a fork, the yellow represents cursed images and memes, and the glitchy top representing impulsivity and other cursed related things <333
When “they” are a genderqueer poc and have written a book about intersectional bisexual politics, where the idea of monosexism as structure also comes from? Then yeah, “they” do get defensive.
You cannot separate out bisexuality from being trans or a poc. These are not mutually exclusive identities or oppressions, they’re intersections. That’s the whole point.
1. you can be a person of color and be anti-black. you can be genderqueer and a transmisogynist. You can still create a theory with these problems.
2. You’ve missed my point. I never once said any of these identities are mutually exclusive. But the reason they exist as a specific form of oppression is because they CAN exist alone. My whole point is that monosexism doesn’t (or at least has yet to be proven to). And you can best see that when you control for other forms of oppression.
For example, we can prove sexism exists as it’s own axis by comparing a white, cis, able-bodied, man to a white, cis, able-bodied woman. We know that with all other things being the same (or as close to the same as possible) the woman will not have the same privileges afforded to the man. We can do this with race. Gender identity. etc.
Can we do this with monosexism? I argue, no. Or at the very least I haven’t seen any studies/proof that have. And if we can’t (or haven’t), than when you quote statistics surrounding poverty, mental health, and unemployment of a group that is disproportionately poc, trans, and women you’re actually noticing racism (anti-blackness especially), transphobia and sexism. If you’re comparing a group with higher rates of poc to one with a lower rate, of course the former is going to a higher unemployment rate because racism exists.
My whole point is I don’t believe a bi, white, cis man and a gay, white cis man are going to live significantly different lives on a structural level. And so far, you haven’t proven otherwise. Yet most people who are proponents of monosexism are white and cis. I don’t understand how you don’t see a problem with that.
And I’ve read your book. I’ve read your articles. I disagree with them. I’m a bi, black woman. I understand intersectionality and axes of oppression. I didn’t miss your point. I raised criticism to it. And I’m not the first bi black woman to do so. And yet, still no real acknowledgement or explanation.
Okay, so I’m giving this some serious thought. Here are some initial responses:
1. Of course someone can be trans and transmisogynist, and a poc and anti-black. I will not try to pretend like I’m immune to that. I am not, and I am happy to be called out when I say or do something problematic. I will say that I don’t recall ever having been called out on either except within the context of monosexism. I find this honestly suspicious.
I have yet see evidence that monosexism is an anti-black or transmisogynist concept. The basis of these arguments is that monosexism as a term groups black people and trans women with other groups and thereby erases their unique axes of oppression. But as I’ve already written and you might have already read, that argument can honestly be applied in the context of any other word describing any other axis of oppression. This double standard here is super suspicious and makes me think that the real problem is the fact that people want to talk about monosexism at all.
2. I agree that research needs to be controlled for race and gender identity. But we have to work with the data that we have – there’s only a handful of research that separates bi people from gay and lesbian people at all. And while I agree that race and gender identity greatly factor into these statistical gaps, I don’t think you can dismiss them on the basis that they weren’t controlled for those factors. The disparities are just too great, and too consistent.
This chart suggests that while you were probably correct about white men, pretty much every other group still maintains the disparity even when controlled for other factors. I wouldn’t be surprised to see similar results in other studies, and I do hope more of those come up soon.
3. I agree that most of bi dialogues – including on tumblr – are dominated by white people, as well as by people other than trans woman (on tumblr, mostly AFAB nonbinary people), and I agree that this is a problem. I think the main problem it creates is actually that these people don’t know how to defend the concept of monosexism because they lack a deep enough understanding of race/gender identity and intersectionality. Monosexism is not a white, or a cis concept, it isn’t based in white politics or in white experience, nor in cis politics and experience. And in my local community, the only people who talk about it are bi trans poc, like me. This is where it’s based and this is how it was conceptualized. I will say that it’s probably the one most misunderstood concept that I have ever come up with, and that that is largely owed to those factors.
4. Monosexism is a useful term because it allows us to talk about oppression against bi people on a structural, rather than an anecdotal level. So far 90% of dialogues about oppression against bi people has focused on microaggressions coming from gay and lesbian communities. Monosexism allows us to examine society as a whole, on a separate axis, to address the workings of power and oppression around bisexuality in particular.
What would a theory about bisexual oppression look like without the term “monosexism”? Examining bisexuality through heterosexism alone brings us back to thinking about bisexuality as a footnote to homosexuality, as halfway in between “real oppression” and “actual privilege”. It doesn’t allow us to examine bi people’s experiences as anything other than the experience of “half gay” or “half straight” people. It imposes a fractured and reductive understanding of our identities, our experiences and our oppression. It chokes up any chance of actually addressing unique bisexual issues.
Taking monosexism and using it as a comprehensive tool, in turn, gives way to talking about intersections between bisexuality and other identities and groups, about the unique experiences and types of oppression that exist when you mix in those different factors. Without the term “monosexism” we would only have been able to address intersections that are actually some way away (say, qtpoc or disabled queer people, etc.). It would allow no specific examination of how intersections work specifically for bisexual people.
Bottom line: I’m kinda thinking out loud here, but I will say that after writing all that, I’m still of the opinion that monosexism is a useful – indeed a vital – term for being able to address these issues, and that most accusations made against it are on the basis of it centering bi people and our oppression where we are supposed to be silent and erased.
Reblogging for Shiri’s excellent commentary and also the stats on food stamp usage across demographics.
By far the most compelling argument (in fact… the only compelling argument) I’ve heard against the theory of monosexism is the one that morganisbrown uses, and it has made me question the idea of monosexism as a privilege/oppression dynamic.
The food stamp stats, though, support the idea that some of the stat disparities between lesbian&gay people and multisexuals are based in multisexuality and not some other demographic factor. Do we know that for sure? No, and we need more studies, but the info we do have supports the idea.
Bottom line is that no one knows for sure to what extent multisexuals are oppressed based on their multisexuality (because their are NO studies on the issue—sounds like an institutional problem to me!), but even if all of the statistical disparities arecaused by racism, sexism, and transmisogyny, I STILL think “monosexism” is a necessary term for exactly the reasons Shiri describes above. It allows bi, pan, and poly people to discuss the ways in which we are uniquely and institutionally oppressed. Even if that oppression is horizontal to the oppression monosexual MOGAI people face, the term acknowledges how our experiences are different (much in the way, mind you, that “anti-black racism” is used).
Monosexism might describe an axis of oppression in which all monosexuals are somewhat privileged, it might not. I tend to think it does based on the information we currently have, though I am 100% prepared to revise that evaluation with any new studies that come out. Regardless, I think it is a vital term, and I will continue to use it—with one definition or another—until a better one comes around.
More genders to anger the truest of truscum: pivotgender, flexgender, spikegender
Pivotgirl, pivotboy, pivotnonbinary
Flexgirl, flexboy, flexnonbinary
Spikeboy, spikegirl, spikenonbinary (spikegender is a mostly neutral gender with…
Flexgender can pretty much be defined as a gender that has a flexing intensity level. Like if you are feel “girl” one day and through out the day it changes from “kinda girl” to “REALLY GIRL” and everywhere in between.
I’ve been looking for a word that better explains the genderless part of my gender than agender and found nothing so here it goes!!
virgender – based on the virgo zodiac sign. I saw arigender and thought it would be neat to do more!
Virgender– A gender identity that is practically and particularly genderless. This usually happens when it is too stressful or difficult to have a gender.
I have a few chronic/mental illnesses that make it hard to have a gender sometimes. When I am fatigued or disassociate, etc it becomes too hard to keep up with my gender so then I am genderless. I wanted a word that was different from agender and more specific to my experience.
Anyone can use this! (although I’ll be excited if other disabled ppl use this tbh)
Vacugender or gendervacuous: From the word “vacuum,” to describe the feeling of existing in a space without gender. Similar to egender and quoigender, but not quite the same. The feeling that gender as a concept does not apply to you, or does not fully apply to you. Someone who is vacugender can present in any way that person chooses, and may be okay with being viewed as any gender.
Surgender: a term vacugender people can use to describe genders they don’t mind being labeled with. Since gender itself does not apply to someone who is vacugender, that person may take on (or distantly identify with) a surgender or surgenders because they live in a society where genders do exist, though they may not exist for that person specifically. A person may have any number of surgenders, and they may be any gender (or lack thereof). A vacugender person does not need a surgender. Surgenders are not necessarily exclusive to vacugender people, but they were created for vacugender people’s use.
Grammatical phrasing: “I am vacugender/gendervacuous and my surgender is [gender].”
Alternatively: “I am a vacugirl/vacuboy/vacuagender/vacufluid, etc.” where the vacu- prefix means that you are vacugender/gendervacuous and the term after is your surgender.
Or however else you want to do it. These are suggestions i came up with because I think they make sense, but really you should just phrase it however feels comfortable to you.
No form of dysphoria is required to identify with these terms.
~
I made these terms to describe the way I feel about my gender, because nothing I have seen so far seems to describe quite the way I feel. I am vacugender and my surgender is fluid between female and agender. Of course anyone who identifies with the terms is free to use them.
I’m not sure how to make sure this reaches a lot of people, but I feel like it could be helpful, so if people could spread it around that would be great!
Abime: Old French – related to “abyss”; from Latin a- “without” byssos “bottom”. Having a gender which is profound, deep, and infinite.
Alius: Latin – related to “alien”; strange, foreign, other. Having a gender which is removed from common gender descriptors.
Aster: Latin – related to “star”. Having a gender which is bright, celestial, and radial.
Atmos: Latin – related to “vapor”, “steam”. Having a gender which is present and definable, but unable to be grasped or firmly defined.
Primus: Latin – related to “first”, “primary”, “first in order”. Possible use by muli- or pan- or bi- gender people. Having a gender which one feels is primary, strongest in identifying with. “I am bigender with femme primus and non-binary sequi.
Sequi: Latin – related to “second”, “to follow after”. Having a gender which one feels is second, less as strong as the primary.
Gemel: Old French – related to “twin”, “two connected”, “one made to be two”. Having two genders which are equally primary or having a fluid gender which was once one but is currently two, split, separated, or twain.
This one was inspired by the cover of Mythologies by Roland Barthes and my own personal attempts at creating an original, multipurpose symbol for different gender identities.
The triangle topped spoke pointing top diagonal right is masculine.
The cross inside the circle topped spoke pointing directly down is feminine.
The Hermes symbol topped spoke pointing top diagonal left is Trans*.
The spoke pointing directly up is a representation if infinity/infinite number of gender identities.
The other spokes have not been assigned gender identities yet.
The center of the gender wheel is gold/Sun symbol which represents that all genders (or lack thereof) come from enlightenment.
Barthes’ symbol supposedly represents the Sabbat seasons of the year.
So I combined different alchemical/planetary/astronomy symbols in my gender representation wheel. I used symbols.com so I’m not sure if all representations are accurate. If any of this is culturally appropriative, please let me know.
So, I’m trying to personally coin a gender identity term for myself and I’m looking up all these different words with variables of definitions. I’m finding some words that I believe if molded and mutated right, the could become terms that I or others could identify with.
Cavea – Latin: ”hollow place, enclosure for animals, coop, hive, stall, dungeon, spectators’ seats in the theater”; related to “cage” and “cave”. Could be referenced to having a gender identity, but feeling the need or pressure from others to not express it. Having a “trapped” or “imprisoned” gender. Coupled with the physically hollow sensation inside ones chest or stomach when one is ignored or invalidated. Possible coinage: Cavique. Pronounced “Kav – ique” with “-ique” rhyming with “unique”.
Liber – Latin: “free”; related to “liberation”, “liberty”, “liberate” Could be referenced to having a gender identity and the ability or conviction to express it despite internal or external pressure to not express it. Possible coinage: Librique
Mutare – Latin: mutare ”to change”; related to “mutable” and “mutate”. Could be referenced to having a gender identity similar to Genderflux, as in being uncontrollable and/or unpredictable, but in the sense that it is constantly “evolving” or “mutating” insofar as one never or rarely feels the same distinct gender “feeling”/”expression” twice. Possible coinage: Mutique
Precios – Old French: ”precious, costly, honorable, of great worth”. Could be referenced to having a gender identity that once considers valuable or has particular fondness, or having a conviction that ones gender is unique, precious, and valuable to ones self and/or the world at large. Possible coinage: Precique
DISCLAIMER: I am not a linguist or etymologist in any form. I just enjoy putting words together and twisting definitions according to my own whims. If any of the possible coinages are extremely grammatically incorrect or linguistically unsound, please let me know.
Librisett, bidemigender, bi/semigender, semibigender… Does these two demigenders form a comgender? Do you feel is it a monogender/unigender, like gendervast birl?
Tbh using semi/hemi/demi + -bi- feels like it’s a ½ gender. There should be a term for multiple genders that are summed up into one whole alone, like gender-potion/shuffler.
Genderanchor – gender that relates to Minecraft respawning anchors. Can be a “spawnpoint” in your genders. This gender needs “recharging” and your gender feels more durable as it’s recharged. It has magical aura to it. The opposite of bedgender.
Bedgender – a gender which relates to Minecraft beds. Feels cozy, safe and warm. Can be a “spawnpoint” in your genders. Can come in different colors. Opposite of genderanchor.
Both of these genders can explode in wrong situations!
Algaeix – A label for those whose identity effects many aspects of their life. It consumes their thoughts, typically due to obsessive tendencies, and forms around their seperate identities to bind them together. It can be a drain on your mental health due to the time spent focusing on it.
Lavenduix – A floral, feminine gender that blooms when the feminine traits of the owner are validated. Presentation varies, but the central feminine feeling remains. A Lavenduix person has two primary qualities: A kindness to nature, and a love of flowers. The person may feel a spike in validity when they garden, see/give/receive flower arrangements, use floral soaps/shampoos, reads books about plants, and visit areas where native flowers grow.
Mascuon – A masc gender that feels almost artificial; like an AI in some or all ways. The nuance of this gender outside of being masculine and somewhat artificial is built by you, and given its qualities by you, similar to if you had built an AI.
Geodefluid – A fluidity between gendergeode identities. A fluidity between shell gender identities that contain smaller genders of a similar nature.
Example: Masculine Gendergeode to Feminine Gendergeode. A fluidity between a masc shell gender with inner genders such as demiboy, nonbinary boy, and boyflux, and a fem shell gender with inner genders such as demigirl, nonbinary girl, and girlflux.
Snailgender is the connection to snails and feeling like a snail throughout your gender! Anyone can identify this way if you feel connected to snails and the pronouns were sna/snai/snail/snails/snailself!

Exipronouns — “standard” pronouns (she/he/they/it); the opposite of neopronouns.
Exi- from existing sounds like stating neopronouns are not existent. Neo- comes from neologism or neolanguage, its antonym is paleo- as in paleologism, however it means old, but some neo-pronouns are old too, paleopronoun/s and archpronoun/s were already suggested.
Archepronoun/s or archeopronoun/s with arche(o)- meaning “beginning, original, first” just as prot(o)- (protpronoun/sprotopronoun/s). Cognates: archipronoun/s, archopronoun/s, arcopronoun/s, arquipronoun/s, arquepronoun/s, arqueopronoun/s.
Other possibilities: peripronoun/s, endopronoun/s, circumpronoun/s, compronoun/s, conpronoun/s, enpronoun/s, orthopronoun/s, ortopronoun/s
So, since ya’ll nasty exclusionists decided to use the original inclusionist flags while spewing nasty rhetoric, me and many folxs can no longer see those flags as “truly” inclusionist regardless of their origin. ( Sadly ), so I decided to create my own flags for folxs who feel the same way I do.

I really like this! I love the colors. One thing I might say though is the gray green and blue are kind of… Odd? Like maybe too saturated or too similar or something? But yeah its v pretty
Yeah, I agree. All the quoi flags are kinda eye strainy. I’ll make an adjusted version a little later.
This flag was posted with permission and was originally posted here. If you have any questions about it, please ask the original creator! (He doesn’t have a Tumblr)
I honestly had no idea what direction to take with this but here are SEVERAL different concepts combining a more palatable flag (with tons of color!) and a color wheel, whether a classic one or a striped one. Not much else to say here, but I hope at least one of them is nice! If you have any constructive criticism (anything specific you want me to edit) or you want me to try again with different guidelines, I would love to give it another go!

This gender is the feeling of intense heat from a random time in your life, this heat burns on forever and the heat is your gender. You feel like a burning flame but in a sparkly pink color instead!
This is based off of the mad burnish from promare! If you feel a deep connection with them you can use it! Anyone can identify as this no matter who you are, you can even combine this with other genders!
The pronouns are bur/burn/burn/burnish/burnishself. You can use different pronouns aswell if you aren’t comfortable with those or you prefer different pronouns!
The flag colors represent the flames and the black represents burnish armor! The flame in the middle is optional but is the flame in the movie!
:

“Effreu – From French effrayant “scary” + neutre “neutral,”: A scary non-binary gender. It is a [non-binary] gender, may be paired with agender and other genders. Counterparts: effrille, effron.”
Alysgender: A void, fluid and indifferent genderlessness.
Etymology
The etymology of Alysgender is unclear. “Alys” is not a word, but a name; an alternate spelling of the relatively common name, “Alice”. This name has an origin in Old German, meaning “Noble” or “Exalted”, but this does not have a readily apparent relationship with the definition. It is unclear if this term has a proper etymology.
This flag design also appears to be created by user thegayesttransboy and was uploaded at the same time as the term was coined. This flag has no officially associated color meanings, as the creator of the wiki entry did not state the meaning. The original flag was very uneven, so I went ahead and recreated it so the stripes were the same size. This flag consists of six horizontal solid colored stripes. From top to bottom, they are cyan, black, royal azure, grey, chartreuse and yellow.

I’ve decided to have a go at creating my own interpretation of a MLM (Male-Loving-Male) pride flag.
Community / Family
The importance of the LGBT community. Our support to both the MLM community and greater LGBT community. The importance of family, whether its found family between friends or creating a family with your masc partner. Fighting against the stigma that men and/or masc folk cannot raise our own/cannot be “trusted” to raise our own children.
Brotherhood
The historical bond of men. Recognizing homosexuality in history between men. Men who love one another will die for one another.
Unique Experiences with Gender
Acceptance of transgender, gender nonconforming, and nonbinary mlm.
Expression
The importance of the fashion and music industry for MLM! How we express ourselves through art and music.
Strength and Spirit
The ability to persevere through hardships. Being in touch with your “inner self”.
Readjusted juxera flag (left) compared to my somewhat recent readjustment to the proxvir flag (right). I liked keeping the yellow stripe for both, so that they at least look like they’re from the same set of genders.
