Cryptidkingender is a gender in the cryptidgender system, where one is an otherkin cryptid, a cryptid that is otherkin, a cryptid because of otherkinity, and/or both a cryptid and otherkin.
Intergender: when your gender is connected, linked, or influenced by being intersex
Neurogender: when your gender is connected, linked, or influenced by being neurodivergent
Somatogender: when your gender is connected, linked or influenced by having a somatic disability
Indigender: when your gender is connected, linked, or influenced to being part of an Indigenous culture
These aren’t gender modalities. While sometimes they get used as gender identities, they often aren’t: they’re descriptors of the influence(s) on one’s gender identity.
I’d like to propose that we call them gender sodalities. đ
The word “sodality” is used in theology and anthropology as a contrast to “modality”. It comes from Latin sodalis (“companion”) and is used to refer to non-kin groups organized a shared purpose or affiliation. I like it here because these gender terms indicate that one’s gender is in conjunction with being part of a community.
Right now these gender terms tend to get grouped under exclusive genders, and they are exclusive, but I want a way to talk about the the influence descriptors that doesn’t apply to the exclusive gender identities and/or exclusive gender modalities.
I considered calling them “gender influences” but that word pair gets used a lot to refer to things like how one’s gender influences what occupation you pursue and stuff. Also: “gender identity”, “gender modality”, and “gender quality” all end in -ity and so I wanted to keep the trend going. @GoingRampant helped brainstorm ideas for terms with me and helped pick “sodality” out of the options.
Gender sodalities can be combined: for example, one who feels like their gender is a function of being both intersex and autistic could then say their gender sodality is interautigender.
I’m also going to coin two non-exclusive gender sodality terms:
1. Coenogender for when one has a sense of gender that feels connected, linked, or influenced by being part of the common hegemonic zeitgeist of Global North / Western society. Coeno- is used in scientific terminology to denote something is common or general. Does *not* mean the individual approves of Global North binarism! One can be influenced by something and also feel like it is a negative/restrictive influence! (Coeno- is usually pronounced /si:no/ in English, like see-no. It comes from Greek, and in Greek it’s pronounced closer to kee-no. I personally consider both correct.)
2. Eigengender for when one has a sense of gender that feels inherent to one’s self and unrelated to their intersex status, disability status, culture, etc. So one is not intergender, not neurogender, not somatogender, not indigender, nor coenogender. Eigen- in reference to the prefix used math: an eigenvector is one which is unchanged under transformation. It comes from German, meaning “one’s own”, characteristic of a given individual. Pronounced /ËaÉŞĚŻÉĄÉn/ (like eye-gun – sound recording here)
Note: I am intergender, and do not identify as eigengender, though I do feel at least partly coenogender. Eigengender is coined in response to an anonymous ask for a term more general than extergender (not-intergender). Coenogender is coined as an option for those who feel none of the above and/or the “default” sodality.
Note for Americans: the spelling of coeno– with the o is intentional. This is because a different scientific prefix, caeno– (new/recent) gets Americanized as ceno– (e.g. Cenozoic). The two prefixes have different etymologies. It’s standard to spell coeno– with the o to avoid confusion, includingin the US.
“Misandrogyny is a system of mechanisms thatâtogether with other systems of oppressionâenforces the norms that constitute the patriarchal gender binary. According to those norms, everyone is either only a man or only a woman; GNC folk donât exist. Misandrogyny enforces this nonexistence by (i) assigning GNC folk to a binary gender and punishing non-conformity to that gender, (ii) assimilating GNC folk and cultures into the binary gender system, and (iii) eliminating GNC folk and cultures. Although much has been written on gender policing, binary gender norms, transphobia, and other topics related to misandrogyny, we also need to appreciate that misandrogyny is a system of mechanisms that punishes those who violate binary gender norms. Future work should elaborate further on how misandrogyny intersects with other systems of oppression, including misogyny, transphobia, white supremacy, ableism, classism, and settler colonialism; and it should spell out how mechanisms of annihilation bring about social, legal, institutional, and epistemic nonexistence.”
Whenever I see aphobia this is all I can think about. If you think loveless people are “psychotic” or “narcissistic” or “broken” I know how you actually feel about disordered/disabled people. Just telling on yourself with this one chief.
I made some more spooky Pride flags(these are by request)!
In order as they appear the flags are Abrosexual, AroAce, Aegosexual, Binotrix, Demiromantic, Lesboy, Mesque, OmniLesbian, Quoisexual, and Butch!
Use them as you wish! But credit me please! (And maybe follow my twitter! The username is the same as here @socksonat3am

So, I recently decided to get a game for my phone called Pazu Girls Hair Salon, and while many of the things I wanted to do with it require Pazu Plus, I have been having some fun with the things that arenât behind a paywall/subscription wall. And that includes the following Pride flag inspired styles:
Progress, ace, and bi. Soon Iâm going to do and post pan, polyamorous, polysexual, four different versions of trans hairdos (two to represent those newly transitioning, and two to represent those who have been out for a while), and more.
Pan, newly transitioned trans, and fully transitioned trans.
Aro and intersex
And yeah, even though itâs the same two models, I like to imagine theyâre different people each time. They just look the same.
Iâve started just doing one per flag where possible to cut down on phone space and try to get as many as possible in there without running into the Tumblr media limit.
Binoflexible (also known as Binotrixflexible) is a term for when one is binotrix (being bi or otherwise mspec with no attraction to women) but being flexible in this identity. A binoflexible individual will always be attracted to non-women but very rarely will be attracted to women.
Biniflexible (also known as Binitrixflexible) is a term for when one is binitrix (being bi or otherwise mspec with no attraction to men) but being flexible in this identity. A biniflexible individual will always be attracted to non-men but very rarely will be attracted to men.
Binotrix (bi-no-trix) or Binetrix (bi-ne-trix): someone who is bi- but not attracted to women; a nowoma- person considering emself bi+ in specific form(s) of attraction.

are they nonbinary in a binary system? if so, and the genders from such binary system are identical to two of the gendernesses within trinary system, then I’d say so.
typically it depends on if they are seen as nonbinary primarily/originally. does that make sense?

Thanks for sharing! I’m glad the term mesosex resonates with you đ It’s honestly really useful to hear from people who feel the term mesosex resonates with them. I put the word out there because I had a sense there’s a demand but as somebody who feels solidly intersex I feel honestly weird having a say in a label I don’t myself use.
To me intersex is the anti-medicalizing term, especially in contrast to DSD, which to me is 100% medicalized. But that’s just me!
Analogies about Biological Sex
So you also asked about my thoughts on sex as a “statistically bimodal spectrum”, and the short answer is I think the term bimodal is misleading and possibly circular, and there are better analogiesout there.
I already agree with what others have pointed out about sex not being a spectrum – a spectrum has one dimension (a line), and sex has dozens of dimensions (chromosomes, hormones, etc). Out of the analogies I’ve seen, I like most Hans Lindahl’s train tracks analogy for sex development.
But I’m gonna guess that by “sex as a statistically bimodal spectrum” you mean “sex as a statistically probability distribution/density” and take this as something distinct from the sex-as-spectrum model.
As it turns out, I have a lot to say about “bimodal”
In my experience, people tend to have huge misconceptions about what statistically bimodal means. It understandably gets conflated a lot with the idea that there are two separate populations.
So let’s think about height. People will say things like “height is bimodal” because they’re conditioned to think that men and women are separate, and the average man is taller than the average woman.
And when they say things like “height is bimodal” they think the distribution for adults will look like this:
But here’s what the adult human height distribution looks like:
The thing about normal/Gaussian distributions is that adding them together is tends to result in something that also looks normal/Gaussian.
If we look back at pink and blue distributions I hand drew, there’s a visual sleight of hand going on there. Where the area under the curve is pink or blue, we can think of one pixel as representing one human in the data set. But in the part where they overlap, it’s not one pixel per human, its one pixel for two humans – one from the womens’ data set, one from the men’s data set.
The result is that the size of the overlap looks half as small as it should be. It leads people to mistakenly think there is less overlap between men and women than there actually is.
So if we actually take that overlap and show how the distributions add together, we get something that immediately stops looking so “bimodal”:
With the two probability distributions that I drew there might be a small dip in the middle, but it would be quite small. đ
Two probability distributions need to be really far apart for them to produce something that actually looks bimodal. (Specifically, the difference between the means needs to be smaller than twice the standard deviation – details here.)
True bimodal distributions are rare. They do exist in nature. But most of the time when people see a probability distribution with two peaks, it is a result of misleading visuals, noisy data, or poorly-binned histograms. đ
In grad school I was taught that bimodality is a sign your data is suspicious: “Statisticians are trained to be suspicious of distributions with multiple modes. Such distributions usually indicate inhomogeneity in the system, or, in plainer language, different causes for the different modes. All familiar proverbs about the inadvisibility of mixing apples and oranges apply.” (Gould, 1981)
In particular, the misinterpretation of (apparently) bimodal data has been used to confirm eugenicist ideas about racial differences, because when it comes to statistics we’re always a step or two away from having to grapple with the legacy of eugenics. â ď¸
So let’s get back the original question about seeing sex as statistically bimodal. The average person understands bimodal to mean “two populations”, not statistical bimodality.
So before I even get into what sex even is, right off the bat this analogy is dangerously circular: sex is what it is because it’s two separate populations.
Sex in humans is determined by a whole bunch of things that tend to correlate with each other (chromosomes, SRY gene, androgen levels, androgen sensitivity, estrogen levels, estrogen sensitivity, etc), so I can see the desire to illustrate that some things co-occur together more than others!
But I agree with @queercripintersex in the discussion of your previous ask that trying to project the multiple dimensions of sex into one dimension loses too much information, and is difficult to even do because so many factors are non-continuous (chromosomes, etc).
For the continuous variables, you can in theory try to find out if they have bimodal probability distributions. But quite rapidly run into issues of poor data. The data on testosterone levels in women is shockingly insufficient. Like I went looking for distributions of free testosterone levels and just look at how much noisier and sparse the data is for women (on the left) compared to men (on the right):
Even with all the noise in the data it’s still unlikely that at any of the age categories, that the men’s data and women’s data added together would produce bimodal distributions. There’s too much overlap.
As a general rule of thumb, any given physical difference (hormones, measurements, etc) has more variation within the sexes than between them.
Our culture has vastly overestimated the biological differences between the sexes. đŤ So I worry that adopting a sex-as-bimodal-distributions analogy will only feed this misconception. 𫤠I’m personally going to avoid using the analogy.
by proxy (por tabela): umbrella term for those who are indirectly or conditionally certain identity or within a specific community, or being biopolitically or extrapersonally identified (heteroidentification) as something depending on a given context or definition
example: white stripe asexuals; trans-aligned detransitioners; acquired sex traits that are commonly associated with intersex community; experimenting, curious, or questioning people among specific places that talk about these life experiences; belonging in an umbrella term that is commonly seen as the hyponym despite being a “sibling”, “cousin”, or a “relative” in such larger endogroup; allies and social contacts that protect and support such structurally marginalized person but are culturally persecuted for doing so
yt westerners really think theres no intersectional imperialism. no blackness in Brazil, no white supremacy in Latin America, and that genocide, ethnic erasure, and racial cleasing in the americas were all justified after all
combo flags for butch, femme and butchfemme* bears! i suppose it is “geared towards” genderqueer/multigender/ect gaybians and sapphilleans, however these flags can be used by anyone who self identifies as butch/femme/butchfemme and as a bear this flag is for you đ
*when i say butchfemme i mean anyone who is butch and femme, whatever that means to the individual. the butchfemme i used in the title can be replaced with femmebutch, futch, or any other terms for this identity.
Monogamy/monoamory: aspiring to be or being in a relationship with another individual, typically associated with being partnered and fidelitous singularly to that individual.
Monogamous Vincian (QLM/MLQ)/Achillean (MLM) Flag

Diamoric/Mestric Monogamy Pride Flag
ALT
Mestric: an umbrella term that includes any relationship, attraction, orientation, or partnership that includes non-binary individual(s), and all those that cannot be categorised according to a same-gender vs. opposite gender dichotomy. Diamoric, also known as adonian, adonic, or cypric, is a term used by some non-binary individuals to describe their orientation, which does not fit into the similar/opposite gender attraction dichotomy due to being a uniquely non-binary experience. The term does not specify what gender(s) one is attracted to, it only specifies that one is non-binary and experiences attraction in a non-binary specific way.
Bi: bispec (bi- spectrum) or bi+ (bi* plus more identities), which is an umbrella term for experiencing attraction or relationships involving more than one gender; attraction from two to all genders; being attracted to both male and female sexes (in the linear/bimodal spectrum, disregarding sex constellation model); (dated) duogamous, androgynous (ambiguous-presenting), intersex, androgyne (bigender/intergender), gynandromorphous or androgynomorphous (andromorphic gynomorph or gynomorphic andromorph); ambivalent attraction; sexually ambiguous or sexuality nonduality; more broadly, encompassing mspec identities, such as pan, ply, omni, tri, abro, amplusic, fluid, unlabeled, etc.
Monogamy or monoamoury: aspiring to be or being in a stable relationship with another person, typically monofidelitous partnering structure; enamouring or marrying only one person.
Monogamous/Monoamorous: being or aspiring to be in a gamous/amorous (marital/enamored) relationship; performing monofidelity or a singular interpersonal partnering (couple); someone who enforces amatonormative assimilation, reinforces romantic-love structure supremacy, or dynamicize natalist formation (compulsory monogamism nationalism).
Lesbian: sapphic with same-gender attraction or in a same-gender relationship; a female individual experiencing same-sex attraction; trixamoric lilaen (suptilic primlunic folk exclusively attracted to binary women); a woman-loving woman (WLW); a queeredly oriented woman (WLQ) or queer-loving woman (QLW); trixian (gai/gay trixic) or gae/QAI fiaspec folkette; fingender or nomingender folx loving fingender or non-mingender folx (FLF, NMLF, NMLNM, or FLNM); she/her or they/she person attracted to she/her or she/they people
TF is this, lesbian is a woman loving a woman, wtf is “non men”
xcus m. is the sentence “non men” in the chatroom with us right now?
Himedanshi (姍çˇĺ, “princess boy”): a slang term for male fans of yuri media or otherwise enjoy any media works or fanworks with romantic relationships between women; himejin man. Sapphic: a term for woman-loving queer individuals (WLQ) or queer attraction to women (QLW); an umbrella term for those who are women or woman-aligned attracted to women or woman-aligned folks (WLW/NBLW/NLW/WLN/WLNB).
This flag can be used in any way for whatever reason. It includes sapphix who reclaim himedanshi and multigender folks who feel described by these terms, for example. Himefudanshi (fuhimedanshi).
Gender Rebinarization/Rebinarisation: indicating someoneâs gender experience is rebinarised, otherwise their gender is embedded into binary again, so rebinary enby.
Gender Debinarized Pride Flag
Gender Debinarization/Debinarisation: the quality of being unleashed from gender binary or having a gender experience that is debinarised, so debinary enby. The reversal way of rebinarie.
These pride flags are meant to represent people whose gender (identity &/or expression) is consensually associated with binary &/or not. Someone could be debinarized and rebinarized at the same time.

Pir: a misspelling of bi, specially in Brazilian Portuguese. It can be a reclaimed slang term, as it’s seen as a shorthand of piranha/piriguete or biscate (slutty/thot/hooker/bitch/hoe). Alts: pi, pyr.
For context, the term comes from a meme (see below) and the flag is a self-parody.
I believe this has been around the interwebs since⌠before 2013? idk
Null is typically zero, which is the neutral value. It’s distinguished from empty sets sometimes. Analogously, 0â â .
But what about complex numbers? What about adimensional places. Are they extranull (extrinull/externull)? Supranull (suprinull or supernull) means positive null, meaning either (0, +) or (+, 0). Or above null, meaning there’s more than 2 dimensions to consider. Exonull (exinull) would be null in dimensions that aren’t fathomable, I imagine. Ultranull (ulternull/ultrinull) would be an extreme null, so an ambivalently or omnivalently infinite junction (infininull). And transnull (enantionull)? Transfinite, for example, would imply it’s not in infinidimensional planes nor in finidimensional places (e.g. oligodimensional, multidimensional, unidimensional, adimensional, semidimensional, semitridimensional, etc.). So it’s technically phantasmal or phantasmagorical I’d technically say, because it’s related to speculative or imprecise prediction in statistics, like uncountable indeterminacy (radical or classical), surreal/unreal/irreal/areal mensuration or unlimited endlessliness. Like, this nullity is neither existent or inexistent.
Now antinull: it’s a miscellaneous yet present number. Things it can be: absolutely existent; different from zero; possible or precise; valid or defined. And hypernull would be almost null, and hyponull would be scarcely null. Allonull is a frequentistically distinct nullity. Non-null is a pseudo-random number that is not null. But anull would change depending on the context, since it’s absence of null in some way. And finally, extranull is outside a certain dimension.
Definition: a modifier expressing a certain gender is perpendicular (orthogonal/transversal) to another.
PT. Definition: a modifier expressing a certain gender is perpendicular (orthogonal/transversal) to another.
Usage examples: my gender is pendriclear; I’m feeling parallelous today; boypencular, girlpencular, neupencular; maveriquerleous, girlaleous, maleraleous.
These are all up to the user’s interpretation. What it means to have an orthogonal gender is descriptively figurative. They could be used in the same way as antigender while not technically that (unless the user wants it to be).
It could also be a gender replication too (such as minigender without the size-specific part).
Comment: the parallelous suffix for aporagender could be inconsistent, but the more harmonious to the user, the better, so I can see them choosing aporarleous or aporaraleous over aporaleous because of apogender implication. However, I think they are allowed to pick what’s best for them if it fits.
White Stripe Asexual: an umbrella term for people within asexual community that is not necessarily asexual, although they may or may not be. Including questioning, traumatized, aromantics (that wish to be included), unlabeled, fluid/abro people, asexual people’s partners who are celibatary, etc.
They aren’t usually represented by grey/partial or black/null areas. It’s the counterpart of black stripe asexual.

Noirloy (no-iur-loy) – A gender related to being a man, a woman and agender, but the genderlessness completely erases ones womanhood, but it’s still there in a way or another.
Noyirl (No-e-iur) – A gender related to being a man, a woman and agender, but the genderlessness completely erases ones manhood, but it’s still there in a way or another.

Maybe I worded the definitions not adequately as I wanted. Mainly because I didn’t put so much effort in describing them meticulously or because my English was bad, or because I had learning issues, such as dyslexia, combined with the fact that I probably had a manic episode (plus probably daydreaming, psychosis, dissociation, hallucinations, schizophasia, and glossolalia) while coining them. Honestly, I’m involved in all these terminologies, be it anonymously or sideblogs. Except some, such as anontrinary (by mogai-mom).
I like scales, I’m into hard sciences. So I have my own PoVs of everything, I like exogenous analogies and transdisciplinarity, and the urge to expand concepts and conlanging. Sometimes, in these situations, I divagate, that’s when I’m explaining things you know. @gender-archival even said I recoined my own terms because of my “contradictory explanations” and I was using another pseudonym.
Answering directly:
Yes, as far as I can tell, I was bold to coin it independently. Maybe someone else used it hypothetically somewhere else, I couldn’t be against this hypothetical use of it hypothetically. Honestly, it feels like I patented a gender when in fact it was always able to be defined in other ways that people would get what I meant, by analogy with nonbinary. So, use one of those links. BUT, when I coined non(qua)ternary, I technically coined nonternary as a potential synonym of nonquaternary (nonquadnary/nonquadrinary). That’s because androgyne could be its own gender. Like the fourth gender wouldn’t be hierarchically distinct from the third you know.
Last answer: that definition was suggested by @mogai-ringo, I think. Stereotypically, having an alignment is interpreted as being gendered or midbinarily gendered, and being neutrally aligned means that you’re unaligned or nonaligned. If you think about it, it’s nonsensical, but that’s how some people see it biasedly. You can wait for her to explain about her PoV, maybe it would be better, because right now I’m not sane to guess so much something that I forgot exactly what I felt when using this sentence. If it helps (probably not), I was this anon. What will really help you is that I agree with everything said here. I like when people mitigate or evaluate my terms too, and a lot of the time it’s accurate, except when they try to be narrower than me most times.
TL;DR yes I coined; it’s not narrow and it should follow the nonbinary definition just replacing binary with trinary.
Comments
Btw, I don’t mind other people semioticizing my terms. I actually like the idea of self-interpretation, philosophizing, and using them as they please. I don’t mind prosifications. In this aspect, I deliberate a lot.
I noticed the term nontrinary was a meme back in 2021 or around. Like you know it’s not a niched protologism anymore when big pages and high profile users start to react to it. And atrinary is nichedly popular I’d say, there are even a lot of backlash, commotion, and aftermath -trinary terms received. But I wasn’t the first one to allude to the gender trinary and wikis make it clear now.
Important note
Something that I intentionally omitted when posting the second atrinary flag specifically is including the lack of full genderlessness (agenderness). Because then I interpreted that a- prefixed arities would always include agender (except anullary, but was that ever coinedâ˝). That would be too late, except that I made some efforts in sideblogs to re-explain it and I’m not sure if that perspective caught on. Huh, you see wikis saying “not necessarily”, almost like because neutrality and neutrois are seen as agenderedness. It’s up for interpretation at this point. This I must confess that I recoined my own term.

Please remember those in the MOGAI community who are not coiners. There is not enough appreciation for archivists, requesters, collectors, icon-makers, lurkers, accessibility blogs, everyone else. I believe that part of why there is so much pressure on coiners to coin consistently is because there is little value placed on any other activities within the community.
some of you act way too fucking entitled to coiners. or just, fucking ignorant towards their boundaries. and it’s gotta fucking stop.
we’re not gods, we’re not better than you, we’re not these untouchable famous beings, we’re not factory workers, we’re not anything but random guys you barely know. yeah, it’s cool that some of us can bring comfort and happiness to you guys. and for some of us, that’s our main goal. but for the rest of us, that’s just a (rather great and beautiful) side effect! a lot of us are doing this for ourselves!
we don’t owe you this happiness. we don’t owe you our creations, our time, our dedication.
coining is a hobby. it’s not our fucking jobs. most of us are just fucking around in our free time, or putting a label to our experiences. we’re not fucking paid for this, this is a thing we do for free. this is for fun. a lot of us also have school or jobs. not to mention, a huge chunk of this community is disabledâ whether physically, or mentally. a lot of us can’t just pump out flag after flag. just because we enjoy coining doesn’t mean we’re gonna be your 24/7 readily available flag/term maker
coiners are people. we are people. we are human beings with wiggly fingers and stomachs and squishy faces, just like you. we have feelings and emotions and we cry and laugh and hit things. we all have human bodies. we all have abilities and limits.
please stop getting impatient with us. please stop expecting that we make things for you. please stop thinking we owe you things. stop requesting the same thing from multiple coiners. please stop being asses just because we didnt get your Oh So Important flag made in time, one you couldve made yourself. please check and respect our boundaries.
Trandrogyne (trangi)/transdrogyne (transgi): describing a transversed androgyne; feeling your gender androgyny is tied to transverseness/transversality; or relatively mixing a travestic androgynous gender experience (transvestic in the sense that your lingender identity is a result of transversion).
Similar to transdrogynous and genderpunk. Mixing tra-Â with androgyne.

[Image: a 7-striped horizontal flag: dark teal, purple, light pink, white, light pink, purple, dark teal]
TLT (trans loving trans): a trans person attracted to trans people, primarily or exclusively; a transcentered relationship (between trans people) or transgender individuals who celebrates transgender love.
butch4masc / masc4butch â pretty self explanatory; this flag is for butches who have a preference for mascs, regardless of it they also identify as butch or not ! can also be interpreted in reverse as mascs with a preference for butches
P4G ~ Pink 4 Green, pinkgender/pink in nature people who prefer greengender/green in nature people. Can also be used to describe a relationship between a pinkgender and greengender person
A person under the trans umbrella who is gay/queerly attracted to men and is exclusively attracted to men. (specific nonbinaries might also be included)
âŤâŤâŤâŤâŤâŤâŤâŤâŤâŤâŤ
Trans Lesbian
Transbian
A person under the trans umbrella who is lesbian/queerly attracted to women and is exclusively attracted to women. (specific nonbinaries might also be included)
okay answering this ask so late but YES the movimento anti manicomial is so important to me and i think is honestly one of the biggest and most successful examples of like, building radical alternatives to psychiatry. ik it’s defintely not perfect and there’s still many problems with institutionalization in Brazil today, but it’s still such important work and history. i was just watching a documentary about it a couple months ago–i should see if i can find a public version of it to share.
it would absolutely be amazing to visit the museu de imagens do inconsciente in person someday, i’ve looked through the art on the website but would love to visit and connect with people there.
i actually have an acquaintance that’s working on getting a lot of writing from the movimento anti manicomial translated into English and i’m really excited to keep reading and learning more!!
anyway defintely recommend people looking into nise da silveira, franco basaglia and the trieste movement, and bethel house in Japan to learn more about successful examples of deinstitutionalization.
Storming Bedlam: Madness, Utopia, and Revolt by Sasha Warren is a great book that gives a really good overview of a lot of radical movements within psychiatry and antipsychiatry, and talks about Nise da Silveria, Trieste, and just so much psychiatry history/analysis of how psychiatry functions.
thanks so much for the ask, i absolutely LOVE getting to talk with other people about mad liberationist movements like this one đ
A type of relationship characterized by lifelasting or lifelong primal or feral connection to someone.
Expressions of said relationship are not romantic, sexual, platonic, queerplatonic, or alterous, but is deeply physical and intimate. It may be experienced as caring and being cared for by a pack member in ways that friends wouldn’t.
May also be represented by primal kinks, BDSM, kink at pride, animal roleplay (pup play, pony play, etc,) non-sexual nudity and exposure.
A North Vietnamese Army officer laughs at the peace symbol necklace of a captured American soldier, 1973
i dont think he was laughing, i think he was smiling.
there was like a bottom-up ceasefire system where american soldiers would display peace symbols advertising their intention to ignore orders and not fire at north vietnamese soldiers unless fired upon first, and north vietnamese soldiers were under orders to do the same if they encountered groups of american soldiers doing this, and they actively worked to distribute information among american soldiers advertising this policy.
My sex is of a nonbinary quality (nonbinarine.) My gender is the same. It hurts no one to refer to myself in this way.
Altersex refers to an actual want for specific genitals. That’s not at all what I’m referencing when I say my sex is nonbinary. “I am altersex” is not the same as “My sex is nonbinary.” Altersex is physical.
I shouldn’t have to use inaccurate language to refer to any aspect of my identity just because you decided nonbinary is a strict box and shouldn’t be used the way I use it.
My sex is also legally non-binary, my birth certificate explicitly uses those words, sex: non-binary.
People can have nonbinary pronouns, a nonbinary presentation, a nonbinary mind (psychologically nonbinary).
You can be skeletally or archaeologically nonbinary. It’s all about self conceptualization. Science made up a lot of terms to classify nature, it’s a social and philosophal construct. It’s all a case of linguistics.
And let stupefy anon: enbysex was coined before altersex.
COCSA Trauma Survivor Pride Flags for @anarchistspolygon. Sorry that there are so many, I made a few flag variants because I was messing around and I wanted to make sure you got what you wanted/needed! Just in case.
I didnât realized Iâd be comforted by this flags existence, it makes me feel seen.
Is there a difference between pangender nonbinary/abinary/etc. and pannonbinary/panabinary/etc. ? I’ve always only used the first example, but looking into the possible names of these terms, I’ve come upon the second example. Should I list them as synonyms on my neocities?
Pangender abinary (afaik, it doesn’t have a formal definition yet):
Panabinary
Pangender leaning abinary or abinary leaning pangender
Bigender of pangender and abinary
Demipangender abinary, demiabinary pangender, or demipangender demiabinary
A pangender individual who experiences at least one abinary gender
Those who are using abinary and/or pangender as an experience tied to their pronoun, presentation, alignment, element, energy, aura, astral percentage, and other things.
Pangender nonbinary would include pangendres using nby as umbrella term or emphasize their enbitude, bibinary pannonbinary and demibinary deminonbinary pangendred folx, maginonbinary pixelbinary
Anyway, I don’t know if it has a concrete meaning or was consistently signified/conceptualized by someone else, just like ‘agender x’ system or nonbinary (wo)man. @ryany
The top one uses the grey from the disability pride flag and the colours from the ROYLG flag. Bottom left uses a white background like the neurodiversity flag. Bottom right uses disability pride colours.
(At pride-cat’s suggestion, I tried putting the APD logo on the ROYLG flag but felt like it blended into the background in a way I found unsatisfying đ – you can see pride-cat’s version here.)
These are all free to use and remix! I hope this helps for moving people away from autistic flags that have Metis style infinity symbols in them (such as the original ROYLG design). đ§Ą
In the near future I’m thinking of putting out a survey of autistic flag options. I’m assembling a list of options here, so if you know of any autistic flag designs that don’t use a solid white infinity that aren’t in the document please let me know! đ§Ą
oh wow, these are AMAZING! i have been FED! thank you for your service! 𫡠if you put out that survey, don’t hesitate to tag me and i’ll totally participate.
anyway, since you brought up the aufinity symbol, here is probably a great place to mention that i had been using that + your nautilus design (as well as “AuTiSTiC” simply written out in the letters’ designated colors) as potential tattoo ideas which i’d share the list of on a reddit post but the mods of that sub removed it for unknown reasons?, since i absolutely want to get something that highlights my autistic identity and the sheer number of options is overwhelming â in a good way, of course. the point is, though, i turned the .png template into the ROYLG gradient as one of the options i might consider:
ALTALT
it would have the same issue as the APD symbol on the background, but i don’t have any intention of slapping this over that; it’s meant to stand out on its own with a nod back to the flag. i’m not typically a huge fan of solid white or black bases just because it feels incomplete to me for some reason (like getting a transparent image off google but realizing it still has a background), but i’m aware that’s entirely just my perspective, and honestly i actually really like the rainbow symbol on it, at least better than on the ROYLG. i wish it existed as a unicode with its creativity working so well, along with the interlocked venus/neutral-ring/mars that bisexuality has.
i want to use every autism design you’ve ever made somehow and give them the recognition they deserve, it’s just all so exciting! â
IMAGE ID. 3 rectangular flags with 7 stripes that are, in order: dark pink, dull redish orange, light orange, light pastel yellow, blue, violet, dark purple. END OF ID.
ŕ¨ŕ§ ⢠Transdian xenogender
Flag for transdian (trans veldian) inviduals who identify with xenogender(s) of any kind.
PT. Transdian xenogender. Flag for transdian (trans veldian) inviduals who identify with xenogender(s) of any kind. END OF PT.
I just wanted to edit the colours a bit, and add a outline to improve contrast (and also because it looks pretty :). I’ve actually done something similar before with these xenogender gender combo flags.
ALTALT
@arco-pluris there wasn’t, I exported some though, so here you go đ
The first version has empty space, so it can be overlayed without worrying about centering/sizing. And the second is just the symbol, no empty space.
okay so theres an episode of whats new scooby doo where the gang goes home on valentines day, and i guess the studio really wanted to avoid the implication that daphne and fred were sleeping together because daphne and velma live together and fred lives with shaggy and scoobyÂ
but that attempt at avoiding anything risque backfired spectacularly because now it just seems like daphne and velma are a comfortably domestic couple and fred is trying to learn how to live with his boyfriends over excitable and really hungry great dane
Itâs far cuter like this anyway.
OOOOOOOOOOOOH SNAP
CANON
i donât have a source for this just a gut feeling, but doesnât everyone in the gang call him âfreddieâ at some point?
which would imply that the entire gang is poly and dating
If any group in pop culture is poly, itâs definitely the errant kids from the 60s with a groovy hippie van
100% the Scooby gang is poly – with varying degree of romantic & sexual. Fred & Daphne are primaries, Thelma probably has othe partners outside of the pod, Shaggy is demi-romantic.
As a rule of thumb, don’t reblog donation posts or people asking for donations unless they’ve been vetted and reblogged by Palestinian bloggers. We usually go to lengths to verify this shit because we know scammers have been faking to get people to send them money, using the urgency of our genocide as bait.
It’s disgusting this is what we’re dealing with, but people are losing money because of some truly evil people out there.
Accounts don’t just randomly spring up on tumblr without gofundmes while asking for someone to help them create a campaign. Fuck out of here with that shit.
I’m also gonna stop listing the reasons why I recognize something is a scam. It’s becoming more and more clear there is 1 person behind this STRING of scams and they’re leaving less trails behind but it still reeks of them and their MO.
DO NOT TRUST ANY GOFUNDME OR REQUEST FOR CROWDFUNDING THAT PALESTINIAN BLOGGERS HAVEN’T VERIFIED.
At this point I’m fine receiving a bunch of inbox messages asking me to vet x y z so y’all can avoid this shit. But please have some critical thinking!
People are exploiting our situation.
Reblog this post.
Whether you wanna read the whole thing or not idc.
REBLOG IT.
The person this was about deleted the 4th or 5th scam account they made and are definitely gonna make a new one soon. I don’t want anybody falling for this anymore.
I made a t4t (tlt) pride flag đłď¸âđđłď¸ââ§ď¸
flag is for for any trans people to use that have a t4t preference or are strictly t4t . It can be used by any trans person of any gender / sexuality, or it could be used as a orientation identity on its own đ
( did my own version of the flag since the the og creator of the flag was âproudlyâ panphobic or something and excluded demisexuality for some reason đ )
Multisexual flags but their T4T themed like this flag I made âŹď¸
(MLW) Romerics are men who experiences attraction to women. they may or may not be attracted to to their genders as well. Itâs a term for any queer men who experiences attraction to women : transhets, a-spec hets , and any mspec men – bi, pan, omni, etc.. Similarly to how achillean/sapphic are used this can be used by queer men to emphasize their attraction to women.
â¤ď¸ Julietian Flag đš
(WLM) Julietians are women who experiences attraction to men. they may or may not be attracted to to their genders as well. Itâs a term for any queer women who experiences attraction to men : transhets, a-spec hets , and any mspec women – bi, pan, omni, etc.. Similarly to how achillean/sapphic are used this can be used by queer women to emphasize their attraction to men.
â¤ď¸đ Duaric Flag đš
Descirbes any queer hets : enbyhets, transhets, a-spec hets. This can be used as an alternate to “straight” or âhetâ, when referring to a relationship between a man and woman, because in that case one or more people involved might be mspec (bi/pan +) or otherwise not straight
âŚ.
– All of these include some nonbinaries depending on their alignment or unalignment and if they feel comfortable with being included in that specific attraction/label
An **optional attraction label used by nonbinary men-aligned mspec (bi,pan + ) ppl. It can be used to indicate that they have little to no preferences in their attraction, they are attracted to all genders in a mostly equal amount
đš Julieridian đ
Iridian and Julietian terms combined
( nbywlw, nbywlnby, wlm )
An **optional attraction label used by nonbinary women-aligned mspec (bi,pan + ) ppl. It can used to indicate that they have little to no preferences in their attraction, they are attracted to all genders in a mostly equal amount
An identity meant to ease dysphoria, and/or help deal with transphobes by simply ignoring them as they donât matter. For trans men that would like to reclaim the traditional âfemâ terms/pronouns that incorrectly get used on them as gender neutral instead. The x is there to indicate NOT being a binary girl at all but instead itâs connected to the word âgirlâ in a nonbinary/gender neutral way, or in a way a man would consider themself to be âgirlyâ
Shx FTM Pronoun Flag
Shx/Hxr/Hxrs/Hxrself
This pronoun flag is meant to go with the Gxrly trans man identity by viewing all the times you get called âshe/herâ as gender neutral. I feel like shx/hxr is a cool gender neutral looking version even if it sounds the same đ made this for myself since I simply cannot use regular she/her as a transman lol, but others can and thatâs cool too
She FTM Pronoun Flag
For trans men who are comfortable with regular she/her pronouns đ
Describes ones attraction and / or relationship where itâs somewhere between queer platonic and romantic or feels both simultaneously. This could be due to not understanding the difference between romantic and platonic feelings/attraction – inspo by the Queeromfluid label – label / flag by me
– ( queer-ree-rome-ick ) Describes a specific type of queerplatonic relationship that does involve romantic interaction but no sexual acts in the relationship. Sexual acts are NOT present but Romantic acts are ; whats considered romantic is up to the ppl involved such as cuddling / kissing but those may not be it, it could be other acts. Was made specifically for sex repulsed and romance favorable/indifferent A-specs that are ok with or desire a nonsexual romantic/queerplatonic relationship
Queeramoric (QER)
– ( queer-rah-more-ick ) Describes a specific type of queerplatonic relationship that does involve sexual interaction in the relationship, one might prefer intimate acts over romantic acts. These sexual acts may be a way to express and strengthen the platonic, and emotional bond in the relationship. Was made specifically for sex favorable / indifferent A-specs that are ok with or desire sexual interaction in a relationship in a unique A-spec / queerplatonic way
Queeraromic (QEAR)
– ( queer-rah-row-mick ) Describes a specific type of queerplatonic relationship that does involve sexual and romantic interaction in the relationship. These acts may be a way to express and strengthen the platonic, and emotional bond in the relationship. Was made specifically for romance and sex favorable/indifferent A-specs who are ok with or desire sexual / romantic interaction in a relationship in a unique A-spec / queerplatonic way
User of multiple microlabels. Using many labels because you feel like your identity is just broad and itâs important to you to be specific. This label can be a way to shorten your identity, to show that there is more to your queer identity
– For any Aroacespec that feel confused/conflicted about romantic and sexual attraction because they struggle with sexual and romantic intrusive thoughts
âŚ.
IntruAro / Intruromantic

pretending to be feminine or âgirlishâ-like but not actually a girl/feminine, the label could also best defined by the user. anyone who isnât a binary girl can use this

Edit : sorry for portraying the stereotypical blue equal masc, and fem equals pink thing on these. The original bi flags meanings arenât defined like that (bi flag meaning) , I was already aware of the meanings as I made these but I had the intention of these flags having separate meanings, different from the original I didnât really think too hard on the colors tbh I just really wanted to stick to the same aesthetic of the bi flag but with these versions having symbols on them too show an attraction preference.
For homoflexible or any mspec achilleans that use gay as umbrella term for their orientation. Their attraction to men/similar genders might be stronger or more often than their attraction towards other genders.

for transgender men who consider themselves transitioning from male to male, as they have always been male, just not in the way being male is traditionally defined as.
It is an alterative to FtM as FtM implies that one was female at some point, then transitioned to male, which does not accurately describe how some trans men view their gender. Female-to-male is a framing thatâs easier to explain, but only because it’s still rooted in the concept of binary sex distinctions and assuming gender based on sex, which many trans people want to do away with entirely.

– these are a-spec identities in way since the attraction can become almost little to none
– does not have to be rom/sexual attraction could be other forms of attractions too, itâs up to the user however this attraction may fluctuate
– nonbinary people are included in all these attractions depending on their alignment or unalignment, or if they just feel comfortable feeling included in that specific attraction / label
For nonbinary mspec – saphillean/enbians that use the label âgayâ as an umbrella term. They experience attraction in a âgayâ way its never het.

– These are a personal feelings of oneâs expression, it feels nonconforming and xenic-neutral : could mean being connected to masc/fem/androgyny in a xenic way (feels strange, otherworldly, or foreign) and it also feels neutral in nature. But itâs best defined by the individual
A Term for folks who would be willing to re-adjust their orientation/attraction in way that would align and support their current partner(s) possible gender identity changes or transitioning
( example : a straight woman whose partner transitions to a woman would readjust her orientation to be lesbian/sapphic or multisexual out of support of her partners new gender identity.)
Mostly for any mono-oriented folks that feel like they would do this for their current partner(s) but mspecs could use it as well to show that they would be supportive/adapt to any gender change/transition their current partner(s) might go through
A Term for folks mono oriented folks, who due to a type of attraction dysphoria or gender preferences, wouldn’t be able to continue a relationship if their partner(s) change or transition into a gender out of their range of genders their attracted to. However that doesnât mean they are against their ex-partners gender change.
(Example : a gay man who’s partner transitions to a woman, then the relationship eventually ending due some type of dysphoria on one or both sides not because of transphobia.)

a term for any fem/gnc gaylm cintheans. They may feel connected to or represented by femininity, being non-conformingly âgirlishâ with their expression or gender in some way but they are not a binary-girl/woman. Alternatively could typed as ( cinthig-rl ) if one would like to emphasize not actually being a girl.
a term for any gnc/gaylm cintheans. They may like the âboygirlâ label for themselves to express their nonconformity in some way but they arenât a binary girl/woman. Alternatively can be typed as cinthiboyg-rl to emphasize not actually being a girl (or cinthib-yg-rl if one prefers being completely neutral)
A term for any masc/gnc lesbians. They may feel connected to or represented by masculinity, being non-conformingly âboyishâ with their expression or identity in some way but they are not a binary boy/man. Alternatively could be typed as ( lesbyb-y ) to emphasize not actually being a boy.

For gay men & nonbinary folks that are primarily or exclusively attracted to other men (and might also be attracted towards some specific nonbinary folks)
– Lazy flag design idea tbh but I just wanted to see what the 2 flags looked like combined. Personally I never really liked either of the flags but I do like the cinthean flags layout & and colors of the blue one. So I combined what I liked from both into one and now I love it 100% đ
When ones gender IS gay/cinthean and male, only wanting to be perceived as a man/boy as itâs important to their gay/cinthean identity since they are both heavily connected inseparable identities to this individual.
Lesbygirl/woman
When ones gender IS lesbian & female, only wanting to be perceived as a woman/girl as its important to their lesbian identity since they are both heavily connected inseparable identities to this individual.
When one is entirely a man/boy +plus additional genders. Being male is the main part of their gender identity while the other genders are simply just additional.

Rowanian is a term and flag coined by @haunted-thing describing someone who is attracted to both men in a queer and straight way and women in a queer and straight way!
This Magical Kid has a Royal and Sky theme. She uses She/He pronouns!
His name is Thistle, after a shade of purple seen in the Rowanian flag (just between the 3rd and 4th stripes)! He can control shadows and dissolve into them!
Her Magical Kid weapon is a Spell Book– she can use it for shooting out beams of light- of course, he has to be careful. Too much light means no shadows to control!
A useless fact about him is that she has Gifted ADHD and often infodumps about the histories of fonts!
(The Magical Kid Project is a project wherein I steadily turn Pride flags into Magical Kids)

These are terms to refer to sex drive, aka libido, experiences of sexual urges/desires. For example, urges/desires or lack thereof to masturbate, have sexual relationships, participate in sexual acts, etc regardless of orientation.
have most characters be non-minors, around the same age range. this is mostly to minimize underage nonsense.
while family relationships are important, save them as background elements, explored every now and then. focus mainly on the bonds of non-related characters and how their different backgrounds play off each other.
limit the overly edgy tone, where pain and suffering are near-romanticized. try to emphasize wholesomeness, health, and the various ways characters can have good relationships despite their differences. a lot of nintendo franchises are good examples.
avoid creating significant characters who are utterly irredeemable with harmful ethics. (for me personally, i limit elements such as abuse and discrimination for background conflicts while presenting more interesting, morally gray arguments, where either side is right/flawed) if youâre going to have a villain, either make them team rocket goofy or classic disney fun.
just. try not to have characters + relationships rely on racial tropes. if you overly rely on a tough dark-skinned / dainty light-skinned formula, youâre going to see some racist shipping. mix it up. round âem out.
same goes for gendered tropes. if a dude is downright violent and irresponsible and a level-headed girl has to put up with his flaws without him facing consequence, thatâs a downright unbalanced relationship. and do keep in mind that if two boys utterly despise each other, people will absolutely take that a certain way. again, with #3, try to play off disdain as comedic or with exception rather than constant seething hatred.
obviously these arenât hard and fast rules, and what/how you create will vary. but itâs how i generally approach my work
I am legitimately amazed that tumblrâs weird obsession with Never Have Anything Unwholesome writing advice has now reached the point of:
â Donât have children in your work,
â Donât have families in your work.
â Donât have any themes or ideas darker than Nintendo, because thatâs romanticising suffering.
â Donât have villains unless theyâre in the relatively simplistic, child-friendly mould of Disney or Pokemon, and donât try to deal with any difficult themes.
â Donât have characters dislike each other.
The idea that you should build your work â because these are all fundamental aspects of a story â around preventative measures against âgross shipping,â and that coincidentally all those measures boil down to âHave as little nuance, conflict, or difficult and unpleasant things as possible,â is kind of creepy.
âNext on Writing Stories: Donât.â
That first post is literally the worst writing advice I have ever heard. It is physically painful how terrible it is. Never follow any of this.
Here is my writing advice: write whatever the fuck you want, however you want to. Fiction is fiction and you are not responsible for people who do not understand that.
I have two university degrees in Creative Writing. BA and
MA.
I have been writing professionally for A Long Time.
I think, instinctually, most people look at this kind of
advice and recognise it as unhelpful for writing anything that isnât aimed at very young children.
This is the voice of someone who has taken so much of Tumblrâs
self-critical rhetoric and internalised it to the point that they canât write a
paragraph without censoring themselves.
And I get it, I really do, this website will tell you that
so much of what we do is harmful to someone, somewhere. And most sane human beings want to cause as little
suffering to others as possible. But this is NOT helpful when it comes to
writing fiction.
This is because fiction is meant to be an exploration. They
are meant to ask questions we donât ask in polite conversation. Fiction is a
tool for asking âwhat if?â
It is the perfect place to have conflict, have prejudice, and
bile-raising gore. The best place to write about paedophiles, murderers, lynching,
and age gap relationships.
You donât have to babysit your readers, if they donât
like what theyâre reading theyâll walk away.
I have preferences for what I do and do not want to read, we
all do (I personally start to feel a little sweaty and ill at heavy gore) but to impose our preferences onto everyone else and forbid topics from being
explored in fiction is a slippery slope that has historically ended in heavy censorship
and book burnings.
Cleansing fiction of anything you see as âimpureâ results in
dead stories that serve no purpose. A puritanical approach to fiction only
sanitises works for a small percentage of people.
I think that comes from a notion that all fiction should
cater to all people. Which is a very Tumblr-esque approach that Iâve not really
encountered elsewhere.
So, in case you havenât heard this before, Iâm putting it
out there: Not everything is written with you in mind, and there will be a lot
of stories that arenât âfor you.â
When writing: write for yourself. If you are happy with what
you have created, chances are someone else will like it too. Write something
you would want to read.
