1. What exactly IS isogender?
Isogender is a term that basically means someone who isn’t cisgender or transgender, or doesnt identify with either label!
2. Why would you identify as this? Why not just say trans/cis?
There are many reasons why someone would identify as isogender!
For me, I definitely don’t identify as my birth gender, so “cisgender” is off the table, but I don’t feel like “transgender” sticks with me!
More examples would be:
A genderless, agender, etc person who doesn’t define themselves as transgender because they aren’t transitioning to a gender, they just don’t have one
A neo/xenogender person whose gender is too complex to be described as “cis” or “trans”
A person who simply doesnt identify with the term cisgender or transgender!
There are infinite more examples, however, and not fitting into any of these doesn’t make you any less valid as an iso person!
3. Is this some new stupid MOGAI gender?
Nope! This is not a gender, but an identifier (similar to how “transgender” is not a gender)
Also, I am personally 100% in support of the MOGAI/neo/xenogender community unless the identities are genuinely harmful!
4. Are there any criteria for being isogender?
There are not any criteria other than not identifying with the cisgender or transgender labels! However, nothing is stopping you from identifying as cisgender and isogender, transgender and isogender, or all three! It’s your label, and you can screw with it.
5. Is this for nondysphorics?
Not exclusively! You can be dysphoric and identify as isogender!
I am a semidysphoric transmasculine isogender enby, someone else could be a heavily dysphoric iso woman, someone could be a nondysphoric genderless isogender person, and many more possibilities!!
6. This label is unnecessary/stupid
For one, all labels are unnecessary and stupid, but a lot of people still use them
For two, it actually is a pretty useful label honestly! If someone finds it useful, then why does that bother you?
7. Is this internalized transphobia?
Sure isn’t! Some people genuinely just think the term trans doesn’t fit them!
Some isogender people *might* have internalized transphobia, but in general, no, it’s not a term for such.
8. Is there a flag for this? What is it?

FEIN and MAIN flags for anon! I figured I would go for the typical female and male colors of pink and blue respectively. The stripe in the middle are just to break up the varied colors. I wasn’t sure which color I wanted the stripe to be, so I did black, a medium grey, and white. Might do more tones of grey later, not sure.

“Tenebraic” comes from the Latin word, “tenebrae”, meaning “shadows”, and the suffix -ic, meaning “related to (x)”. Tenebraic, as the word itself, would then mean “relating to shadows”. The variants are masc-tenebraic, neut-tenebraic, and fem-tenebraic, and can be used in combinations if you feel multiple.
To be tenebraic essentially means to feel vaguely one identity while also feeling vaguely nonbinary, yet you don’t quite feel comfortable with either option. It is a form of disconnect from both options, not being completely agender or another gender, but the void/agender feeling essentially “overshadows” parts of it. Some days you will feel more shadowed than others. It is not meant to be a gender itself; more like a vague sensation of one, without the commitment of a concrete label. Think of it as a spectrum, but not brightly colored.
The tenebraic identity, on its own, is meant to be its own category. The purpose of using it as a descriptor is not feeling very comfortable within the binary, nor the nonbinary, but taking a little piece of each with you (if you so choose). It is appropriate to use it as an adjective in relations to a concrete gender, such as “tenebraic demiboy”, “tenebraic pyrogender”, or anything else you feel is correct. As a standalone identity, these flags apply, but feel free to create any variants! I’d love to see them!

I saw this identity and immediately clicked with it, so I hope you don’t mind Star/Space related variants (if you do just tell me!). Any space-related prefix in front of the identity works, but Star is the default. They were made with intention to be for Otherkin or otherwise Spacegender individuals, though anyone can use them obviously!
They have the same definition as Tenebraic, though they have additional feelings to them, which are very fluid with one’s space-related identity.
They can resemble the inability to grasp genders due to the ‘space’ between oneself and the gender, they can resemble the airy/weightless feelings of space, or have an underlying strength relating to the burning of a gas giant, or the underlying weak static feeling of a dwarf star. They also relate to the inability to properly identify or understand one’s own gender due to being otherworldly and alien, or one’s inability to physically be their gender due to having their soul misplaced/being in an incorrect form.

The stars on the flag are dull due to the shadow drenched over them along with blurry comprehension, with the cosmic clusters of stars/galaxies on the top left and bottom right corners of which are intended to be seen as difficult to distinguish while also mimicking fog.
The masc and fem aligned flags also have a faint overlay of the color generally associated with the alignment on top of the clusters.
The flag was created at the same time as the term by the coiner. The flag consists of five solid-colored, horizontal stripes of the same size. From top to bottom, they are blue, blush, pink, fuschia and blue. The official meanings of the colors are unknown.
With this being the coining post, the first appearance of the flag is here. The flag follows the same format as the Mothearn flag, but uses blue for the central stripes and pink for the peripheral as opposed to the other way around. Ascgender: A term used to describe an identity that ascends the concept of gender. An ascgender person may feel gender doesn’t apply to them, or that their gender is beyond description. The dark purple stripe represents integrity, blue creativity, pale teal is uniqueness, and light yellow purity. The symbol used a a sigil based based from “ASC,” and represents identity beyond gender. The associated pronouns are sce/scer/scenself, pronounced “see/sir/senself.” And yes, it’s pronounced ass gender.

Other possible combos don’t have such easy prefix/suffix indicators off the top of my head. Basically these are for people who incorporate other nonbinary gender traits into their femme/butch/futchness in various ways for those who feel restricted by that sort of binary idea of femme and butch like I am. My femme-ness isn’t restricted to femininity despite being centered in it, by adding other traits it feels more nonconforming and reflective of my reality. I would like to see the terms being used in a less binary way overall since they’re explicitly not conforming to the typical fem-masc binary in the first place. One way to be non conforming is to incorporate multiple genders or presentations. It just seems natural to me.
I saw someone using xemme, xutch could also exist. Idk if it’s xenine or enbinine.

Platoniromantic is a subtype of quoiromantic in which someone can’t distinguish between romantic and platonic feelings, it’s already on aromantic spectrum, this flag is a flag combo for being suptiliaromantic (strictly/suptilic aromantic) and allosexual, therefore you’re also aplatonic as a result of being both aro(allo) and platromantic. Not essentially anamical/asocial, it’s about having null platonic/romantic attractions.
Vex- or Vexe- When one’s orientation is in the a-spectrum, but pinpointing it beyond that is impossible because the individual does not understand the concept of that type of attraction.
Alterous attraction is described as neither being (entirely/completely) platonic nor romantic, & is an attraction best described as wanting emotional closeness without necessarily being (at all or entirely) platonic &/or romantic, & is used in the place of -romantic or -platonic (so say bi-alterous instead of bi-romantic). Canibal gender is a gender which changes when you eat/taste someone. The amount of that person you eat/taste will change the intensity of how much of the person’s gender you feel. The pink represents feeling feminine, the blue represents feeling masculine, the black represents feeling non binary, the green represents the mixture of genders,and the red is blood. This is mainly meant as a gender to represent one my kins! However, I decided to not make it so you have to kin him to use the gender, thus deciding to call it maroonic!
Maroonic is masculine and connects to maroon (or red), the internet, video games, simulators, being sensitive, feeling connected to one’s emotions, bravery, and feels connected to protecting people somehow.

Yonderine: referring to qualities that transcend the concept of gender, being neither masculine, feminine, androgynous, epicene, neutral, agender, aporine, outherine, xenine or any other such quality of gender that exists or will ever come to exist; a sense of self that exists beyond the binary, the nonbinary, the anonbinary and the concept of gender itself.
Etymology
From English, “Yonder”, meaning “at some distance in a direction indicated” + Greek/Latin suffix “-ine”, meaning “of or pertaining to”. Coined by Gent (Gender-Resource), 2020.
The noun form of the term is Yonderinity. One who is Yonderine would be called a Yond. If one is a Yond, it means that they do not participate in the concept of gender because they exist beyond it. Such a person can present in any way they so choose and use any pronouns. Yonderine individuals may have non-gendered connections and attachments to a particular gender or genders. If a “gender” is yonderine, it could be referred to as a Yingender (yondering-in-nature).

These suggested pronouns are nounself, based upon the Latin preposition, “Uls”, meaning “more than” or “beyond”. The pronouns are pronounced “ool”, “ools” and “oolself”.
Hello! Today I met a Yond who goes by Aera. Ul has a wonderful personality. That smile of uls really makes me happy. I could talk to ul all day although ul doesn’t talk about ulself much. I wonder if uls day has been wonderful. I hope so!
Flag
With this being the coining post, this is also the first appearance of the flag, which as also created by myself at the same time as the term. The flag consists of seven, solid-colored, horizontal stripes of the same size. From top to bottom, they are brown, olive green, gold, white, silver, lavender and dark magenta. The colors have the following meanings:
The brown stripe represents existence.
The olive green stripe represents lack of participation in gender.
The gold stripe represents the self.
The white stripe represents what lies beyond the concept of gender.
The silver stripe represents self-knowledge.
The lavender stripes represents rejection of gender as a construct.
The dark magenta stripe represents transcendence of gender.
Striderminic: a xenogender related to Minecraft striders

Tempussexual: (Latin for season) Where your sexual attraction to certain genders changes with the season. Ex: In winter you like boys, and in summer you like girls.
the inability to distinguish ones gender due to trauma (any type: emotional, sexual, mental, physical etc) and can only be used by trauma survivors. this is not a gender, only a way to describe the inability to directly pin down what your true gender is.
– Criticized the Jews for defending themselves against the Holocaust because he insisted that they should have committed public mass suicide in order to “shame” the Germans instead of fighting back. His exact words were, “But the Jews should have offered themselves to the butcher’s knife. They should have thrown themselves into the sea from the cliffs. – Refused to have sex with his wife for the last 38 years of their marriage. He felt that in order to test his commitment to celibacy, he would have beautiful young women (including his own great niece) lie next to him naked through the night. His wife, whom he described as looking like a “meek cow” was no longer desirable enough to be a solid test.
– Believed that Indian women who were raped lost their value as a human.
– During his time as a dissident in South Africa, he discovered that a young male was harassing two of his female followers. He responded by cutting the girls’ hair off to ensure the “sinner’s eye” was “sterilized.” He later boasted about the incident in his writings, pushing the message to all Indians that women should carry responsibility for sexual attacks upon them.
– Argued that fathers could be justified in killing daughters who had been sexually assaulted for the sake of family and community honor.
– Believed that menstruation was a manifestation of the distortion of a woman’s soul by her sexuality.
– Waged a war against contraceptives, labeling Indian women who used them as whores.
– Held the attitude that women were simply creatures that could bring either pride or shame to the men who own them.
Nofemaric: Umbrella term for everyone NOT attracted to women/girls. Can be used as a nonstraight identifier by anyone who not experiences attraction to women/girls.
This includes both mono- and m-spec folks, such as torenamorics, uranics, lunarics, penulti-/differo- gals, ma-/nowoma- and cetero- pals, sometimes anattractionals.

Nonxenic: A term for all non-xenogender identities, much like the term nonbinary. The orange and yellow stripes represent nonbinary identities while the pink and blue represent binary identities. The black is for genderlessness.
I’m not sure where one would have a use for this flag, but who knows?
Nebulagender: a multigender/xenogender identity, nebulagender individuals have many interconnected xenogenders that collectively form a multifaceted, expansive, and beautiful gender experience. May have fully defined genders, like stars that are formed within a nebula, as well as diffuse, vague, and partly/completely unidentifiable gender feelings that exist in between, like cosmic dust.

DEATHCUTE— a xenogender that feels like death, darkness, horror, and monsters – but in a wholesome way that is also endearing, comforting, beautiful, and whimsical. “Scary” things feel like *home*.
A momento mori might be reassuring bc in death you also see beauty and rebirth. This gender feels like spectral horrors and eldritch abominations who are lovable and good for your soul. It’s like when you look into the eternal abyss and you’re overcome with emotion… bc you realize it’s made out of the same hellfire as you.
Flag colors:
Foggy grey-ish colors for an overall dreary feel. Lavender colors (for monsters, neither femme nor masc), steel blue grey (for night), black (for death and darkness), white (for bones). Flag variations always have a heart graphic somewhere to represent the cute and endearing aspect.
Different versions:
1) Skull and crossbones with heart-shaped eyes.
2) Heart with crossbones.
3) Plain white heart at center.
4) Alternate version with more stripes and black heart.

Raggie– a gender that feels soft and comfy, but alsu like it’s falling apart at the seams. You don’t worry though because you knuw you can stitch it up again
Dollass– a gender that feels fragile and cam relate to mental state, it feels close to dolls and scared to be dropped.
Customlaic– a gender connected to the want to be customized, you can even envy seeing dolls being customized, it’s otay though because you have a faint feeling you are customized in your own way as well.
