I’ve recently discovered the label nonbinary woman / nonbinary girl and I’ve been using that as my primary label. However, I don’t really connect with any of the already existing flags. So, I decided to try my hand at making my own flag!
I call it the flame femenby flag! The colors are based off of the other two nonbinary woman/girl flags, because I liked the oranges and yellows, but with added gray for the gray area of the nonbinary experience and a cream stripe to tie it all together, but otherwise don’t have any particular meaning besides what I personally relate to. The second version is just a fun edit for aesthetic reasons.

We are tired of being analysed, defined and represented by people other than ourselves, or worse yet, not considered at all. We are frustrated by the imposed isolation and invisibility that comes from being told or expected to choose either a homosexual or heterosexual identity. Monosexuality is a heterosexist dictate used to oppress homosexuals and to negate the validity of bisexuality. Bisexuality is a whole, fluid identity. Do not assume that bisexuality is binary or duogamous in nature: that we have “two” sides or that we must be involved simultaneously with both genders to be fulfilled human beings. In fact, don’t assume that there are only two genders. So not mistake our fluidity for confusion, irresponsibility, or an inability yo commit. Do not equate promiscuity, infedility, or unsafe sexual behavior with bisexuality. Those are human traits that cross all sexual orientations. Nothing should be assumed about anyone’s sexuality, including your own. We are angered by those who refuse to accept our existence; our issues; our contributions; our alliances; our voice. It is time for the bisexual voice to be heard.

A gender related to or connected with the Slasher genre of horror movies. This gender is violent and overwhelming sometimes but with a sense of familiarity. Slasher gender is very dramatic and dark.
Eveegender: when you feel like your gender could permanently evolve into something different soon, depending on what or where you may be in the future.

A gender that feels like a horrid amalgamation of other identities, feeling confusing and overwhelming – flickering between different identities, however never being able to fully pull apart from the others.
A gender that once had stability, and was nearly set in stone as one way. However due to large events, or just over time – has morphed into something beyond as it was before, never being able to return to that state. This new state can be fluid, or still – or fluctuate between the two, slowly or rapidly. This state may never find a calm, feeling more bubbly and free rather than feeling stable and set.

Decided to go for a more blueish color scheme leading into more pinkish and yellow colors to represent the emotional aspect and then the attraction aspect, originally I was going to use a dark blue leading into almost a periwinkle color? But it kept looking much to similar to another flag I’ve made
decided to redesign/simplify the melle and femil flags bc the original versions have Too Many Stripes and Too Many Colors
Melle – A gender term for males who have no alignment towards masculinity, and instead have a feminine alignment, with or without the existence of other nonmasculine alignments too.
Femil – A gender term for females who have no alignment towards femininity, and instead have a masculine alignment, with or without the existence of other nonfeminine alignments too.
This is my nomination for the enbian flag (not to be confused with the nonbinary and/or diamoric flags)!
The gradient purple background represents how no two nonbinary genders are exactly alike, but they can all coexist under one umbrella term, as long as the differences between them are acknowledged.
The yellow moon represents how someone’s feelings and self-perceptions can change over time, just like how not everyone identifies as nonbinary from birth. Also, it reflects the fluid nature of gender identity, which can be ever changing, or even based around a cycle. Its crescent shape reminds us that some part of our identity was once hidden, and that we must now conceal that part of ourselves from anyone who would wish us harm.
The colorless circle represents how, as per the human experience, there are things we understand but cannot explain about how we know our genders. Identification transcends human language, and is a somewhat ambiguous space between a feeling and an alignment.
I hope you like it, and if no one else comes forward with another proposal, maybe it’ll even be our official flag!
I like the aesthetic pleasing-ness of it, but I would like to know how it relates to nb/nb relationships/focus? It seems more focused on nb ness in general presently

So, since it’s not just a crescent moon, and there’s actually something to fill in the rest of the circle shape, that’s symbolic of the unity of two (or more) individuals who are bound together in love similarly to how light is bound to the moon.
If you want to get technical, though, the circle itself represents an unbroken connection, which I think very much ties into relationships.
Of course, these are all just abstract ideas. If you have any other interpretations I haven’t covered, I’d love to hear them 🙂

Alright, so, one of my alters said this about his gender:
“It feels like it’s cold, and fragile, but to make up for the fact that it’s fragile, it emits a sense of dread, making you scared to explore further, but if you do, you find that it has the same feeling of being born and raised in the mountains and seeing the flat lands for the first time, but instead of them being all green and going on forever before being broken by the sky, it’s snowing, and night is falling, so the colors of the sky and the snow run together to the point where they look the same so it seems like it just goes on forever- It’s somehow both terror-inducing, and oddly comforting.”

Spesgender: A gender defined by hope. Could be a gender you hope to become/find inside of you. Alternately, it could be a gender that encapsulates all that you want to be or represent.
Color and image meanings: green is for growth and positivity, seedling is for growth, life, and beginnings
Omnilajuns: believing you experience all forms of attraction (sensual, romantic, aesthetic, etc.) EXCEPT sexual attraction. This could be reasons such as: trauma, believing you just don’t have sexual attraction for others, you find the concept of sexual attraction confusing, etc. This is an identity term, not so much a specific attraction term.
Byumasexual: A sexual orientation term for those who experienced some kind of trauma during the “awakening” of their sexual attractoin/orientation (for example: when one first starts to date or gets curious about their own sexual orientation). Due to this trauma, the concept or idea of “sexual attraction” is a very confusing subject to them. These individuals might have a basic idea of their orientation (”I know I am not straight” or “I know I am not gay”) but beyond that, it is a mystery. People who identify as Byumasexual might have a history of “cycling” through different sexual orientation terms, attempting to find a term that they feel comfortable with (the “light bulb moment”).
This term is a more specific version of unthenalsexual. This term is NOT an excuse to not see professional help if you’re experiencing negative physical and/or mental health symptoms. If this is negatively interferring with your day-to-tday life, please seek out the proper professional.
Questioning is not a term these people feel comfortable with. One reason could be that it feels too “superficial”. Another reason could be that they feel like questioning is a “transitioning” term.
Byumasexual could easily be connected to caedosexual (believing trauma made you no longer experience sexual attraction), implasexual (Someone who feels they are never quite sure of their sexual orientation due to self doubt or anxiety), or pomosexual (believing there is no current term within the LGBT/MOGAI community that fits you, but there might be in the future).
This term was created by combining a greek word with an old norse word. It’s pronounced “bee-you-ma-sexual”. The colors were based on the ideas of “trauma”, “{re}birth”, and “sexuality”.
