omg omg yes!! i’m SO SO glad that mogai have reclaimed uwu and owo and use them unironically even though anti-mogai use them to mock us. that’s also why i still make flags even when requests are jokes or tr*lls!
so i looked up emojigender and i did find a flag, but i sadly couldn’t find who designed it. i’ll include the original flag in this post, but if anyone can tell me who coined the term i’ll be thankful!
emojigender: a gender that is best described by an emoji. this does not mean that your gender is an emoji, but it is simply best communicated via an emoji. a subset of visigender/pictogender. the prefix emoji may be replaced by the emoji itself; an example would be 🍃gender: a gender best communicated by the 🍃 emoji.
coined by unknown!
next i’ll use the colors from this flag to make a new flag! i will also take heavily from the description because i love being consistent with existing mogai terms 🙂
emoticongender: a gender that is best described by an emoticon. this does not mean that your gender is an emoticon, but it is simply best communicated via an emoticon. a subset of visigender/pictogender. the prefix emoticon may be replaced by the emoticon itself; an example would be uwugender: a gender best defined by the uwu emoticon.
uwugender: a gender best defined by the uwu emoticon.
owogender: a gender best defined by the owo emoticon.
evocagender: a gender that you remember clearly and fondly, brings great calmness to your soul, and has a big influence on who you are on a person, yet feels distant and faraway, as if it were a childhood memory.
This one is kind of difficult to explain and also my first flag so I hope you understand what I mean! I tried to pick colors I associate with peace and memory !
– Rin 🦔 (yeah, rin is my name right now. You can still call me sonic because I still am him.)
i’ve seen a lot of light related genders lately! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤
quantagender: a gender encompassing every single individual gender related to the electromagnetic spectrum (i. e. lightgender, radiogender, gammagender, etc.), paying close attention to each gender separate from the others rather than looking at a spectrum. includes genders relating to aspects of the electromagnetic spectrum that haven’t been enumerated yet, but the feeling that those genders are, in fact, finite in number, is very strong.
quantafluid: genderfluidity between every single individual gender related to the electromagnetic spectrum. includes genders relating to aspects of the electromagnetic spectrum that haven’t been enumerated yet, but the feeling that those genders are, in fact, finite in number, is very strong.
Equusagender: a xenogender related to zebras, horses, donkeys, mules, or just all of the equines in general. Castoringender: a xenogender related to beavers.
Acedaintilianflux: believing you flunctuate between asexuality and daintilian. The white stripes were replaced with a darker purple color to show the ace-ness.
Daintilian: being PRIMARILY attracted to feminine presenting individuals, very slow attraction (or nervous or anxious) when it comes to masculine presenting individuals. pronounced “Daint-ill-ian”. Term and flag made by nebularomantic
[id: six stripes, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, standard rainbow pride flag end id]
which i think most people associate with lgbtq+ community as a whole, i personally more associate it with mlm/gay men than anything else but i kinda wanna change that. this flag is an umbrella that we all stand under together. if you’re queer or questioning you get to hold this flag, even if you’re not sure about any of the others, and i think we can all agree on that.
now, the less commonly known bear pride flag
[id: seven stripes, brown, tan, yellow, peach, white, gray, black, with a black bear paw in the upper left corner end id]
and i know that this is the most well-known pride flag for the mlm community, but we can’t just use a bear pride flag for ALL the mlm
so we have the even less known twink pride flag
[id: three stripes, pastel pink, white, pastel yellow with two male symbols overlapping in the middle end id]
and this poses the same problem as the bear pride flag: we can’t just call every mlm a twink.
As soon as rainbow six coloured flag is associated with
the whole LGBT movement, we have decided to introduce homosexual men’s
flag.
The flag is represented by all
homosexual male diversity
and is comprised of cold colour range from blue to light blue. This is
an analogue of lesbian’s flag which is comprised of pink and red
colours.
Flag description: the flag has seven horizontal stripes. First
top three stripes are coloured in light blue gradation from dark to
light. The fourth stripe is white. The fifth stripe is grey light blue.
Last sixth and seventh stripes are blue, from light to dark.
[image desc: the erosean flag. on the top and bottom, there are two deep-red stripes. below the top and above the bottom stripes, there are two orange stripes, a warmer version of salmon in color. a white stripe runs through the middle, a red rose in the center.]
hello!!
over time, mlm and nblm communities have coined both hyacean and achillean—terms that have turned out to be very problematic. so i have taken it upon myself to create a new term for non-binary gay induviduals: erosean!
eros is the god of love—the son of aphrodite—and has also been called the protector of homosexual love! roses are a symbol of eros, hence the rose on the erosean flag; deep red is also the symbolic color of eros, as eros is most commonly linked with erotic love—in fact, the word ‘erotic’ comes from the god eros!
i hope that erosean becomes the new commonly used term in the mlm and nblm communities, instead of achillean, connected to achilles, who has been discovered to have been incredibly misogynistic.
– garrett, an erosean-identifying person and the coiner of the term as well as the designer of the flag!
quercugender (from the Latin word for oak): a gender closely related to nature and can be used by plantkin, and has a strong and unmoving but constantly growing feeling. it feels ancient and neutral, but with a faint air of benevolence. like many tree related genders, it may cycle between 4 different distinct ‘phases’, but always remains the same gender at its core.
I had to remake this post, since it was falsely flagged !
So my friends and I came up with some presentation terms for nb gays! They’re based around fantasy creatures !!!
Nymph NB Gay: Based on Nymphs and for feminine nb gays ! They’re spirits of nature and are really pretty and I think it aligns well !
Gryphon NB Gay: Based on Gryphons and for andro nb gays ! They’re sleek, they’re androgynous and they’re rad as fuck.
Wyvern NB Gay: Based on Wyverns and for masc nb gays ! Big boyes ! They’re just relly cool and we associated them with masculinity a lot. A friend asked me to tag @wyvern-blog-of-the-damned !
that being said i’ve decided the best way to deal with haters is to support their tr*ll genders anyway because if someone identifies with them they’re still valid.
so here goes,
earthboundgender: a gamegender related to earth bound; and/or a kingender for pokey minch.
colors in the middle three stripes are from a sprite I found of pokey minch on google.
necrofawngender: a gender that infects and takes over any existing natural and cute gender/s, including but not limited to fawngender, and changes them to feel more mature and grisly. may ‘die out’ after a while, but the innocence of infected genders can never be restored.
Androgen-: attraction to people of secondary sex characteristics associated with the dominant action of androgenic hormones, regardless of gender or primary sex characteristics
(I had a little too much fun with the organic chemistry skeletal formulas, so I made some with and without the symbols)
-Fy
not to be confused with androgyne-, andro- or agen-. testosterone is an example of androgenic hormonal sex
Coined term: fractigender! This identity is based on the word “fractal”- a pattern that repeats on smaller and smaller scales, and different locations.
Definition: Fractigender is a gender identity characterized by different genders occurring with different intensities, and yet still connected (either through expression, interpretation, or being experienced simultaneously).
Meaning of flag colors: All the colors except the center white stripe indicate separate genders- the pink/purple and blue for maleness and femaleness/masculinity and femininity, and the yellow and green for nonbinary genders (two colors are used, to capture the fact that nonbinary genders are vastly varied in experience and presentation). The difference in shade of the pink and blue indicate the different intensities of the genders experienced. The white stripe calls to the white stripe on the transgender, nonbinary, genderfluid, and bigender flags.
Note: The shape on the second flag is the Koch snowflake fractal, not a Magen David- this flag is not Jewish-exclusive, but people using the second flag should be respectful of the similar symbol.
YO, as cool as our flag is, I think we need to reconsider a new design that doesn’t remotely resemble the confederate flag. (the omnique design is pretty sweet, but I had an epiphany I’d like to throw out~<3)
I’m thinking a combination of the sapphic, diamoric, and achillean flag colors in a configuration reflective of the trans flag. Maybe the omni and genderfluid flags could be thrown in there too, but perhaps for design and definitive simplicity, we should focus on same-gender-same-attraction symbolisms.
I also came up with a symbol, which are double venus, nonbinary, and mercury symbols arranged in a triple infinity loop (also not graphically perfect):
FEEL FREE TO USE THESE WITH CREDIT~<3
Also, PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT Y’ALL THINK AND SPREAD THIS AROUND IF YOU LIKE THE DESIGNS!
I just noticed, op that’s not the mercury symbol (☿), it’s mars (♂)
ponikegender (from Greek etymology for phoenix): a gender related to triumphance and fire; a gender that, when it is realized, burns away all other genders, leaving ‘traces’ that don’t affect the whole new gender.
susgender (from the Latin word for pig): a gender relating to pigs; a gender that shamelessly consumes any other gender experience. associated with social happiness.
new halloween themed wanderlust gender for anon 🌽🎃
a labyrinthine, eerie gender that’s impossible to navigate or map, but which causes no anxiety. this gender is fun to explore even if it’s easy to get lost in.

[Image: an 11-striped horizontal flag: large white stripe, thin light blue stripe, large white stripe, thin light blue stripe, large white stripe, thin light blue stripe, large white stripe, thin light blue stripe, large white stripe, thin light blue stripe, large white stripe. There is a thin light red stripe down the entire flag on the left hand side.]
Writtic: a xenogender related to writing aesthetics, including paper.
A gender influenced by eye horror, and being seen in a frightening/disturbing way. It can be broaded to general face horror if needed. Not a strictly masculine or feminine term.
-sliding/-slider When your feelings towards sexual/romantic/etc actions ‘slide’ between repulsed, neutral, and favorable. Can be used as sex-slider, romance-slider, etc or just like bi-slider/bisexual-slider/biromantic-slider. Can be used by both allo and aspec people.
i noticed a lack of a flag for greylithromantic, which was surprising to me! so i whipped up this little beauty, which is a mix between the original lithro flag and greyro flag!
[ ID: a pride flag with 5 horizontal stripes of these colors, from top to bottom: coral/ pale-ish red, light orange, yellow, white, light grey, and green. /ID ]
Heckin excellent 👍🏻✨👌🏻
I almost thought it meant gay gray because of the flag
Diamoric – Nonbinary people who are attracted to other nonbinary people. It can also mean relationships involving one or more nonbinary person. Similar to sapphic and achillean.
NBLNB – Nonbinary people who are attracted to nonbinary people. Similar to MLM and WLW
Skoliosexual / Skolioromantic – Sexual/romantic attraction to nonbinary people. Specifically a label for nonbinary people, because binary people being attracted to only nonbinary people is often seen as offensive or fetishizing. This term is often considered problematic because the root translates to “bent” or “broken.”
Ceterosexual / Ceteroromantic – This is the more accepted term for skolio, because it doesn’t have the same etymology.
(I think) I made some alternative flags for those of us who identify as a demi-binary gender, but for whom the current, popular flags and labels don’t apply. To replace demigirl and demiboy, here, we have demifemme and demimasc, which are darker, more elegant, and more mature (at least, that was my intent). But the deep purple flag was just for fun–or for a combination identity.
(I think I want to take another swing at this concept)
Equusagender: a xenogender related to zebras, horses, donkeys, mules, or just all of the equines in general. Castoringender: a xenogender related to beavers.
i don’t know of any eldritch space genders, but it sounds like a cool concept!
as for homestuck identities, try these (I could only find genders, sorry):
Alternigender: A kingender for when your gender feels influenced by Alternian perceptions of gender.
Mugender / Mutgender: Where one’s gender (or lack thereof) is affected by their status as a mutant and/or their mutancy itself;can be tied to presentation; not exclusive to, but made with homestuck kin/fictives in mind; mu-/mut- is from the word mutant; pronounced with a long u (mū or mute/mūt).
Mutantgender / Muvasgender: Where one’s gender (or lack thereof) is affected by their status as a mutantblood and/or their blood mutancy itself;can be tied to presentation; exclusive to kin/fictives, with homestuck kin/fictives in mind; vas- is a prefix meaning blood or blood vessel; muvas- is pronounced with a long u (mūvas); muvasgender could also be referred to as vasgender.
In order: Trans gay, Trans lesbian, Trans femme, Trans butch
Revamped my old ugly flags to these bad boys
These will be used in icons in the future! Just ask and theyll be urs
Trans bi and pan comin up next
Also ps these flags do not imply that trans men/women are less than their cis counterparts. If you think that trans men or women arent real men or women pls leave my blog
i don’t really like the existing ones so i wanted to make my own! which obviously will have pastels!
pastel reddish orange – that warm feeling you get when you talk/spend time with your qpp (s) pastel yellow – soft platonic love white – unfiltered and pure admiration for your qpp(s) pastel turquoise – friendship, emotional balance and serenity
Genderartio: a xenogender related to whales. meant for whalekin but can be used for anyone Genderhippocamp: a xenogender related to sea horses. Cnidariagender: a xenogender related to jellyfish/cnidarians. Gemderserpentes: a xenogender related to serpents/snakes Lacertiligender: a xenogender related to lizards/geckos/etc
since @mogaiisvalid made a new gender flag, icecreamgender, I thought I could try my hand at making variation flags, vanillaicecreamgender, chocolateicecreamgender, and strawberryicecreamgender!!
To be either vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry icecreamgender, you have to have an affiliation with these flavors, and the cold sweetness of icecreamgender, of course!
A mostly-genderless feeling, which includes a small part of another gender (Ex: subboy, subgirl). If the partial gendered feeling is fluid, subfluid may be used to describe this.
hey!!! so i recently heard about subgender things (feeling ¾ one gender and ¼ another) and i wanted to add a couple words my friend Ray (autbucky) and i came up with!
they were originally for me because i was kind of on the fence about demigender things and my genderfluxiness makes me kind of slide from ¾ boy:¼ androgyne to ¼ boy:¾ androgyne but i thought some people might like these words, too!
so here they are:
dodrans[gender]/dodrans [gender]: three-fourths gender. dodrans is the latin word for ¾ (or, more specifically 9/12; it was a unit of currency for a short time period)
quatro[gender]/quatro [gender]: the one-fourth equivalent. it’s the latin prefix for one-fourth.
if any of them appeal to you, feel free to use them!! 😀
Attraction – the action or power of evoking interest, pleasure or liking for someone or something.
The Main Types of Attraction
Romantic – Desiring to engage in traditionally romantic activities with another (ex: kissing, cuddling, going on dates, etc.).
Sexual – Desiring to engage in sexual activities with another.
Erotic – Appreciation for sexual arts or a desire to know someone using one’s senses through explicitly sexual acts (such as gouinage). Considered a mix of aesthetic, sensual, and sexual attraction.
Sensual – Desiring to know another by using one’s senses, especially through touch. This is NOT an explicitly sexual form of physical attraction, though it doesn’t have to be strictly romantic in nature either.
Presential – Like sensual attraction, but more the desire to be in someone’s presence than to touch or be intimate with them. A desire to know someone through their presence without an aspect of intimacy. Often coupled with aesthetic, platonic, social, etc.
Aesthetic – Usually desiring just to observe a person because one finds them aesthetically pleasing.
Doraric – A desire to be close to, serve, and even worship someone out of an adoration which derives itself from attractions that are neither explicitly romantic, nor explicitly platonic. Considered a mix of spiritual and alterous attractions.
Alterous – Desiring emotional closeness without necessarily being (entirely or at all) platonic and/or romantic. Alterous attraction is most often experienced as a sort of “transitional” phase by alloromantic individuals; it is felt when the person is no longer sure whether or not they have a “crush” on the object of this attraction. For some, however, it’s a form of attraction all its own that straddles the line between platonic and romantic.
Queerplatonic – (also referred to as qplatonic, quasiplatonic, and quirkyplatonic) Like alterous, it is neither romantic nor platonic, but can be functionally similar to both; a type of attraction that (while certainly aromantic) cannot be properly reduced to platonic without leaving some important aspects out. Also used as an umbrella term for any relationship that falls outside of the strict “romantic-or-platonic” binary.
Fluitic – Also known as “wavering” attraction. Being unsure of what one desires from the object of their attraction due to the nature of said attraction being “wavering” (frequently shifting from one type to another).
Platonic – The desire to form a close (or closer) platonic relationship/friendship with another.
Social – “Aspirational” or mentor-attraction; a desire to be closer to and/or more like someone because of their perceived talent and/or wisdom.
Amical – Interchangeable with platonicity (sometimes refers to “best friends”); on a higher level of affinity than in just social/interpersonal circles (that are more impersonal).
Emotional/Ecstatic – A broad term for a desire for commitment and mutual emotional nurturing, regardless of a relationship’s specific nature. To feel emotionally attracted to someone is to desire being consistently supportive of and supported by that person emotionally. Subtypes may include amorous, romantic, (q)platonic, mental, and amical attraction.
Familial – Desiring an emotional closeness with another by virtue of them being family, or desiring an emotional closeness with an unrelated other that mimics a traditionally/idealized familial bond.
Mental – An umbrella term for any form of intellectual/psychological and spiritual attractions.
Spiritual – A desire to be close to another (regardless of the nature of said closeness) based on the belief or feeling that such a relationship is “destiny,” or that the object of such attraction once had a relationship with the subject in a “past life” of sorts. In some cases, it can be used as a subset of social attraction — desiring a mentor-student-type relationship with someone based on their strong spirituality.
Intellectual/Psychological – The desire to “share a mindspace” with another by exchanging wisdom, knowledge, or interests. Related to social relationships, but generally where the object of such attraction is not considerered “socially superior.”
Tutelary – Also known as “protective attraction.” A desire to take care, protect and support another. It is the attraction one might feel towards a child, a pet, or a vulnerable person. It is often based in a desire to feel needed.
Cedural – Also known as “submissive attraction.” A desire to be protected, covered, understood, tutored, and supported by someone. Not to be confused as kink-related or sexual in nature.
If I’ve missed any major forms of attraction or gotten a definition wrong, please let me know and I’ll add it to the list/correct it right away. Thank you.
–
If you have any problems with any of these terms, please let me know. I may take the post down & will certainly do my best to correct the issue.🦋
Updated!
Huge thanks to @lgbtqiarchive for providing more terms and some much-needed definitions!
Here’s my take on the associative colors for attraction types ‘cause it just interests me:
I would especially like to stop using green to signify romantic attraction, since it was originally incorporated into the aro flag for being a “non-romantic” color. But, as always, I’m open to feedback.🦋
Oh I like this a lot, very interesting and in depth – though perhaps use erotic’s color for sexual, to cause less confusion between asexual spectrum terms and sexual attraction terms, then have erotic being a stripe combo?
The purple of the asexual flag was initially meant to symbolize community, but considering how purple has become about as associated with asexuality as green with aromanticism, I do believe this is a fair point. I’ve used purple to signify sexuality in the past, but I could always redesign my old flags. Thanks for the suggestion!
I’d mix purple with sensual orange and aesthetic pink (also found on a zedsexual/allosexual flag variation by @queerflagswithbenton). There’s also yellow/gold (colors opposed to purple), from an alloaro flag by @arotaro that represents relationships. And the aceflux flag has also red as an opposite color, there’s also other acespec flags interpreting red as a zsexual/non-asexual color.
GENDERBLANKET: a gender that covers you like a blanket! feels warm, comfortable, and secure!
COINED BY: me, transmedictaako!
DISCLAIMER: though this flag is free to use with credit, (NO)MAPS/SUPPORTERS, TRU/MEDS, TERFS, and ANTI MOGAI do not have permission to use or “reclaim” it. if i find this flag on any such reclamation or banned blog i will report you for art theft, as it is, in fact, art theft. thank you!
thank you for separating the oriented aroace and aroace ones. for example, someone could be between lesbian (lesbromantic/lesbsexual) and ace/aro (as in lesbiaromantic/lesbiasexual) without being essentially an oriented aroace (lesbplatonic/lesbalterous/lesbsensual…).
e-sexual is the attraction to the e-girlgender, pictured as the flag with red for the e-girl lipstick, pink for the blush and girly vibes, and the black for eyeliner, all with the heart! the e-girlgender flag is as follows: the blush pink is for the e-girl blush, the purple for the clothing, and the black&white horizontal stripes for sleeves! you cant forget the signature heart! someome who identifies as e-girlgender may use 💙/💚 or e/er/eself!! you may feel strong connections to tiktok!
So, I’m scapolitian (nblw & nblm), and I have to admit I don’t like the current flag. It’s hard to describe and to reproduce because of the similar colors, and whoever submitted it didn’t even describe the meanings of each stripes.
Then I decided to make a new one:
[Description: A flag composed of 4 horizontal stripes, which are
dark grayish
green, light grayish yellow, orange and purple. End image description.]
For reproduction purposes, any shade of dark green can be used for the first stripe (including olive), and the second stripe can be either a shade of light yellow, cream or white. Maybe even a very light gray. For the last stripe, purple is preferred to blue.
And here’s a version with a symbol, for those who are going to make digital graphics and/or print it and care more about having a distinguishable/easy to understand flag than a easy to reproduce one:
[Description: Same image as above, but there’s a nonbinary symbol interlocked with a Venus symbol and a Mars symbol on the center of the flag. All symbols are flat and black. End image description.]
Here are the color meanings:
Green: Diamoric attraction/identity; this person considers their nonbinary gender identity as relevant for their attraction, or else they wouldn’t be using the term;
Yellow/Cream/White: Diversity of scapolitian experiences; scapolitians may have any identity which isn’t binary (they may even use the term scapolitian without liking to use the term nonbinary for themselves), they may use labels other than nonbinary for their gender or not, they may use other labels for their attraction or not, they may be a-spec or allo, they may be attracted to some genders more than others or not, they may be attracted to identities other than man and woman or not, and so on;
Orange: Trixic attraction, or nonbinary attraction to women;
Purple: Toric attraction, or nonbinary attraction to men.
All colors were taken from photos of scapolites.
If these images are too low quality for you, you can get better ones on Imgur! Since Tumblr may not publish this on the tags if I use external links, I’ll just say you can go to /a/irwZhSf on Imgur dot com.
(n./adj.) [a woman/woman-aligned person who is] romantically attracted to girls and nonbinary people with a strong connection to womanhood. specifically used to describe asexual lesbians.
I can’t find any other sources where this term is used but I don’t want to assume I’m coining it, just bringing it back for two big reasons: our only alternative to “lesbian ace” is “h*m*romantic ace” which 1) is literally a slur that not all of us have reclaimed (on par with h*m*sexual) and 2) lumps ace lesbians in with ace gay men like we all share the same struggles.
Lesboromantic allows us to both acknowledge that we’re lesbians and avoid using one of the biggest derogatory medicalized terms of all time. Of course “lesbo” in itself is still sometimes used as a slur, so lesbian aces who aren’t comfortable calling themselves lesboromantic can just use “lesromantic”, assuming that doesn’t already have another connotation.
I won’t speak for non-ace aro lesbians, but I would assume that “lesbosexual” and “lessexual/lesexual” are the sexuality equivalents of this romantic orientation.
I’m going to talk more about these terms and their limitations in the future, so if you could signal boost this post I would be super grateful!
This is a really interesting idea.. I’m curious to see what you all think.
it is also used as lesbromantic/lesbiromantic, lesbicromantic and lesbianromantic/lesbiaromantic
Maiette: A feminine gender that is mysterious and can feel magical at times. Can also be related to the colour purple and/or gray. | A Kingender related to the character Mai from FNAFHS.
Puppeur: A masculine gender that is mysterious and can feel magical at times. Can also be related to the colour purple and/or gray. | A Kingender related to the character Puppet from FNAFHS.
I have yet to think about a name for the neutral version, but have these for now!! I’m super anxious bc is the first time i coin a gender hhh!! ;; and is one related to one of my special interests AND the source of one of my kins!
You don’t need to be kin with any of them to use this gender!
While some people do use polyamorous to also mean that they are or can be attracted to multiple people, I do agree that there is too much confusion there and that there should be seperate terms.
I know there are terms that are for specific ways of attraction, such as Polyamalterous, Polyamsensual, etc. that describe an individual who is capable of having alterous or sensual feelings for more than one individual and would be able to have an alterous or sensual relationship with more than one individual. But I’m not sure if there’s already a term that encompasses any sort of attraction/relationship. If there isn’t, Polyattracted would definitely be a good choice I would think! Or Polyamattracted would be even better.
Does anyone else know if there is already a term like this? I couldn’t find one, but I thought this had been brought up before. I’m just not sure if it had been resolved with a new term being coined or not.
Plurian/pluraffectionacy or polyanthropic/polygynandry? There is single-target, what about multiple target
The two purple stripes represent the blending of masculinity/femininity and/or maleness/femaleness of the gender while the white symbolizes the gender being neither male or female/being of neither gender at the core
how’s this different from ambonec?
epicenity isn’t so well defined within neolabel circles, it carries variety of meanings, it also indicates a lack of gender distinction, meaning gender-neutral androgyny, fluxing in between and the amounts, used for third-person pronouns, synonymy with third-gender, pandrogyny, gender indetermination, mixture and impurity. epi- prefix means “upon,” “on,” “over,” “near,” “at,” “before,” “after”. so I guess beyond binary genders too? there was a discussion about its etymology, via late Latin from Ancient Greek based on koinos (epíkoinos, “common; sluttish”). sounds like the first known usage was in the mid-15th century.
so me and some friends were talking about how the current polyamorous flag (top) is very,, eye strain-y, to say the least. so i thought i’d try my hand at a redesign that’s easier on the eyes and more appealing, while still retaining recognition and all that!!
i’ve also changed the pi symbol to a circle, because the pi symbol’s original purpose was supposedly to refer to “the irrationality or polyam love” which just feels pretty othering imo??
but the new circle can represent the infinite potential for love (bc circles are infinite shapes) and as someone else put it, “love makes the world go ‘round” which i thought was very cute!!
lemme know what you all think and feel free to use this redesign if you like it!!
the circle reminds the rings of a polyfidelity flag
Supragender- when you are multiple genders (like polygender) but 1 of those genders is dominant
Supragender is like nanogender/demigender/ magigender except with multiple genders
Prefix derived from
supra-
unknown
1. a prefix meaning “above, over” (supraorbital) or “beyond the limits of, outside of” (supramolecular; suprasegmental).
A fluid gender experience that is dependent/influenced on an individual’s eating habits, regardless of their culture/society’s assumptions on what kind of food is “manly” or “chick food”
a perceived agender experience signed by fast moving thoughts of greed and hunger and the need to “snatch and devour” by copying someone’s gender identity and expression to feel whole
when one would of been apathetic or indiffernt to their gender or lack of, untill flulidity spured by what kind of reading material they are engaged in at the momment
gender inside a gender inside a gender, either to infinity or untill you wind up just being a single gender. for a example, a boy inside a girl inside a boy who will then, just be, perhaps a effeminate boy, but to separate themself from that title, they would be meta boy, or meta girl. this is a very mind blowing gender that is freaky in it’s “inside and inside “ nature
a gender identity where it is stereotyped as being a very fun and energetic, a with a bit of a fierce spicy temperament and friendly personality, but be prone to tempermental outbursts. but it is in fact a very misunderstood gender that people make assumptions about, but never bother to ask people who they are as an individual
Whether Lun or Sol is used depends on intuition at any given moment. If lun’s intuition is clouded, use lun/lunaself. If sol’s intuition is strong, use sol/solself.
People who identify as praedicogender are good at predicting the future accurately. Stress, anxiety, and negativity cloud their intuition. Usually used by supernatural otherkin, such as angelkin, fallenangelkin, demonkin, dragonkin, etc. However, humans can use this identity too.
Only people who have Romani or Irish Traveller ancestry can identify as such. Assuming this identity if you are not related to either one is blatantly disrespectful and transphobic. It is also cultural appropriation.
These are meant to be part of the juvelic system, or the glg system! (Examples: mlm, wlw, nblnb, etc.) Some Xenic people may consider themselves falling under just the nb umbrella, but for those who don’t, these terms are here! This is only the individual terms, I will be working on combinations (xelm and xelnb, nblxe and xelxe, etc etc.)

Flag by: The wonderful @nebularomantic!! Go check 🌧s blog out, 🌧 makes incredible flags! (🌧 is also a great person in general asdgjk)
Ok so I am demi-androromantic and I couldn’t find any pride flags for it, so I did one!
demi-androromantic is a term for people who are romantically attracted to men or masculine individuals (can also be non-binary men, libramasculines, …), but need a very strong emotional bond to fall in love.
The flag is a combination of the demiromantic/sexual and androromantic flag.
Black represents aromantic
white represents alloromantic
gray represents gray aromantic
the stripe in the middle (androromantic flag) represents the androromantic community;
Blue represents attraction to men
Brown represents stability and support
purple represents attraction to masculinity
the gray heart highlights that it’s the androromantic and not androsexual flag
Image description:
a pride flag that has a black triangle on the left side, whose top is aligned horizontal. The top ends in the centre of a thin stripe in the androromantic pride colours: a blue, brown and purple stripe. in the middle of the stripe is a gray heart. above the stripe is a white space and below the stripe a gray one.
I forgot, preferably with apersnicketylemon’s lesbian flag for the combination.
I think it’s pretty obvious what I decided to do for this but in case it isn’t I used the demiromantic flag as the base for it and added the lesbian flag colors to it. I’m 99.9% sure I used the right flag but if not please let me know and I’ll fix it!
Enbutch (non-binary butch): Holding a nonbinary gender identity and a butch gender expression, or claiming butch as an identity outside of the gender binary (butchgender).
Not to be confused with manugender, tomcat, bear, stag, masculine, jackhound, vermil, cinnab, enboy, wolf, xoy or twinkby.
a genderqueer boy flag for the anon who wanted one!
the blue side represents the masculine/male part of the gender and the yellow/orange side represents queerness (with the white stripe in the middle to indicate that it’s a trans identity and not just for queer cis boys)
Transneugender (treugender): a transversal gender neutrality, similar to transneutrality but experiencing neutral-gender that is connected to transverseness; transverse individuals having neutrally gendered feelings. Based on trandrogyne.
Neutrans Flag
Neutransgender (transgenderneutral): transgender neutrality; feeling neutrally transgender. It’s more trans-neutral (feeling neutral towards transness) than transneutral or neutral-transgender
Trans Neutrois Flag
A combo flag of transgender & neutrois (transneutrois).
I’m nonbinary, but if we get more into it, I’m Sinegender. It’s a variant of genderfluid.
Sinegender: Having two or more genders and flowing between them and reaching everything in between. Inspired by the oscillations of a sine function graph.
Summary: Since I found very little information on the initial word, I decided to give a more theistic take on the term that’s put into a modern context of gender than what was originally given for other kemetics to use if they find the identity fits them.
Re-interpretation: Sekhet, sekhyt, or sekhety is an identity used to describe not being exclusively a man or woman, moreso the ‘gender’ of the Netjeru; or the lack of a definable one in a divine essence. What this means, though, is the true nature of the Netjeru is mysterious, and though Their representations can align along binary standards, Their existence within itself is something beyond what can be put into a definition of binary gender.
It is not a static identity, and can be a combination of a myriad of different things; femininity, masculinity, androgyny, anything in between; undefinable by words, and can be a specific state of being for a person and remain as such for years, even for a lifetime; or can wildly fluctuate on a day-to-day basis.
Symbols & Meanings:
-Shen ring: Eternal protection.
-Orangish gold: The color of the reeds in Aaru, resembling freedom, sentimentality and sincerity.
-Gold: Unity, love & the embracing warmth of the sun.
-White: Purity, indefinability.
-Lapis lazuli: The Netjeru and the connection to Them, divinity, and spirituality.
-Blue: The primordial waters of Nu and the fluidity of its’ nature. The mysterious infinity that which all is created from. Larger than the other stripes to symbolize the eternal expanse of the water.
Pronouns: Any pronouns are associated with this term, but if none in particular fit oneself, a set with both ritual use and casual use has been made for the sake of modern convenience. Both stem from the origin of “nen” which is negation, null, separate from what is defined, and can be used both as a suffix -nn(not to be confused with the plural demonstrative) or the independent pronouns respectively.
Religious:
mntnn/ntnn/pꜣy.nn/r ḥꜥt.nn
Casual:
Neii*/Nem/Ner**/Nenef
*The eii in neii is pronounced “eye”
**The er in ner is pronounced “air”
History: Sekhety is written as many different things by scholars; it was originally a word first found on an inscription on a shard of pottery describing the three genders, man, woman, and sekhety. It basically means someone who doesn’t exclusively fit on the societal binary of sexuality and gender(though this is a simplification of the sources), some guesses of the more specific definition being intersex people, gay people, and so on and so forth.
Primary source: Sethe, Kurt, (1926), Die Aechtung feindlicher Fürsten, Völker und Dinge auf altägyptischen Tongefäßscherben des mittleren Reiches, in: Abhandlungen der Preussischen Akademie der Wissenschaften, Philosophisch-Historische Klasse, 1926, p. 61.
Delamour – noun; “dell-uh-moor”. Neuter; Usable by all genders and cultures.
Definition: A delamour is a lover who you share a bond that is so deep, so profound, that the word ‘love’ is just too simple. It’s not sexual, romantic, platonic, spiritual, or any single type or multiple types; It’s beyond any label or category or trope of love. It’s a connection that falls outside definitions, that expresses itself in ways that don’t fit with just one type of love. A bond so strong, it is unlike anything others could understand without being you or your partner. A connection on multiple levels. This love does not fit conventional concepts. It transcends them.
It’s a love that isn’t just passionate, but infinitely deep, with no conditions, limits or toxicity or anonymosity. Love that is so much more than what ‘love’ can express. (But not complicated, just complicated to explain.)
Words like ‘girl/boyfriend’ or ‘wife/husband’ or ‘partner’ do not feel adequate. They don’t fit. Delamours have trouble describing their love to others and may feel words can never explain the relationship enough.
This is not the same as ‘soul mate.’ It is compatible for multiple partners (polyamory). It is not LGBT-exclusive.
Etymology: Based on the phrases “au-delà de l’amour” (“beyond love”) and “l’amour de l’âme” (“love of the soul”), both French. “Amour” (French) is from “amor” (Latin) meaning “love.” “Âme” (French) is from “anima” (Latin) for “soul.” “Au-delà” has no known official etymology, but goes back to 16th century Old French texts, and may also mean “(to the) afterlife.”
Please reblog this, even if you do not understand it. I want people to know this exists and go beyond just Tumblr.
I think Agape is like a missionary love (also used by religious), as omnilove/omniamory (for everyone), delamour seems more particular/individual. It’s also an explorative love, as it’s deep you develop it profoundly.
hello!!! i was talking to some friends about how unaligned nonbinary people are being treated as an abnormality in the nonbinary community as of late and decided to come up with a flag! so uhh heres my attempt at an unaligned nonbinary flag! (man thats a mouthful, if anyone has suggestions for a better term pls tell me…)
grey: the middle ground of black and white, indicating an “in the middle” state, as well as representing those with an unaligned demigender
green: the inverse of purple, denoting a complete falling outside of the gender binary scale, whilst still having a gender
yellow: the primary color not associated with either binary gender in the subtractive color model
purple: the middle ground of blue and pink, the binary genders’ traditional colors
white part of the i: represents the full gender spectrum, as white is the combination of all colors of light
black part of the i: represents the lack of gender, as white is the lack of any colors of light.
i symbol: both representing the personal pronoun “I” and the imaginary unit
the personal pronoun basis is to denote a personal gender, that ones gender is just themself.
the imaginary unit, the square root of -1,
does not fall anywhere on the number line, but despite being mocked as not being real it very much exists and is a very important part of math nowadays.
furthermore, as a unit, it can create endless amounts of other imaginary numbers, meaning there isnt just ONE number like it, but infinitely many, much how nonbinary isnt just a “third gender”, but infinitely many genders.
Perissos-: experiencing high-intensity or overwhelming levels of attraction due to neurodivergence. Alternative to hypersexual.
Asthen-: an orientation which describes someone who feels “less” in regard to their orientation, but in a way that does not necessarily involve who they are attracted to. For example, someone who feels sexual attraction weakly, or has such a low sex drive that who they are attracted to does not feel relevant to them. Alternative to hyposexual.
here’s a trans nb gay flag i made for anon! i started out by overlaying the trans, rainbow, and nb flags, then rearranging and editing the colors to go better together: the first 3 stripes match the pastel rainbow used in the trans gay flag, the gold is from the nb flag, the pink is from the trans flag, and the salmon stripe below it is the trans pink and nb purple mixed. this flag is for trans men/transmasc nbs who are gay for men/other nbs btw!
Also don’t ask me why, but I wanted to try and make an a-spec flag??
The greens are from the aromantic flag, and the purples are from the asexual flag. They mean the same things as they do on their own respective flags. When combined, though, I felt like I’d give them my own additional meaning:
The Greens – The peace and harmony in our community that we try to uphold.
The White – The solidarity and heavy intertwining of the ace-spec and aro-spec communities to form the larger a-spec community.
The Purples – The creativity and diversity of the people who are on the asexual and aromantic spectrums.
If this is too similar to another flag, please let me know! I have another design in mind for this.
the template and pink stripes are derived from the lipstick lesbian flag. the purple stripes represent the ace spectrum, the blue stripes represent the aro spectrum, and the white stripe in the middle is unity–the coexistence of sometimes complicated and confusing feelings.
Biasexual (biace/biaspec): being asexual and bisexual at the same orientation/time/attraction, between both or a mix of the two; an acespec bisexuality (biacespec). Could be shortened to basexual/bace/baspec/bacespec or interchangeable with abisexual/abispec/acebisexual/acebispec.
It falls under plurasexual, pluralian, schrosexual/schrodisexual, mspec, aspec, multisexual/plurisexual, plurian and grey-ace spectrums/umbrellas.
See also: dyosexual, ambisexual, varioriented, perioriented.
This is a flag for someone is who gai and strayt for girls and enbies!
The flag is explicitly meant for any nonbinary person (no matter what their alignment) who feels their attraction to girls and enbies to be both gai and strayt.
This is a flag for someone is who gai and strayt for guys and enbies!
The flag is explicitly meant for any nonbinary person (no matter what their alignment) who feels their attraction to guys and enbies to be both gai and strayt.
Kilriagender – A gender that feels like a childhood memory, like it was important to you at one time but now it’s very vague and difficult to remember.
I’m not sure on names or pronouns, but on the pronouns front, you can check blogs like @pronoun-archive and @pronoun-provider for some ideas!
varemgender flags! in order they are: varemgirl, varemnonbinary, normal varemgender flag, and varemboy. the colors represent the outside covers, and the center is the gender you identify as (i.e. varemboy is “feminine” colors on the outside, but “masculine” in the center)
“When u could care less about gender but hey memes sure are neat!“ As further explained, “for NB people who really couldnt give a fuck about gender and just like pissing off tru/sc/um because usually those ppl use memes in order to convey their sarcasm and shit.” – The original coiner, who I couldn’t find a source for.
here are some feminine gay (left) and masculine gay (right) flags! bc as a gnc fem gay man, my identity is extremely important to my attraction to other men! and i’ve heard from masc gay men that the way they perform masculinity is different from how a straight man would.
so i’ve been seeing those gay man flags around lately, but my biggest problem with them was how blue they are, which really isolated me as a gnc gay guy, and also i just. don’t like the color blue that much.
so i tried my hand at making a gay man flag! the purple symbolizes gender non-conformity and our love for men, the white stands for nb gay men, and the green is a reference to how green was associated with gayness in the 19th-century. I added two versions because i personally prefer the darker one, but i know some people prefer brighter colors.
this flag is free to use for icons and edits! this flag is not for terfs, truscum, transphobes, ect. this flag is inclusive of nb gay men, she/her and they/them gay men as well.
happy pride, here’s some edited polyam flags because its clear everyone hates the basic mspaint colours (feel free to use the last one, i thought it was a bit clever)
Whether it be your gender or orientation, the common terms just don’t describe it well enough. Colourqueer is the act of associating your gender/orientation with colours; loud, soft, dark, light, vibrant, desaturated, etc. The whole rainbow and beyond is your playground and your colours might change depending on how you feel.
Made another one. This time I wanted to dive deeper into the feeling and personality of one of my ocs, Lotus, who I never rlly had a set gender or orientation for because nothing seemed to fit, so voilá! Lotus has always been a colourful person and it makes sense that he’d describe his identity with colours because he relates to them more.
Again, anyone is free to use this term and flag but please credit me if you do!
So colorqueer is similar to colorgender but also includes orientations? The most proximate orientation was chroma-.
Yeah pretty much! It wasn’t my intention at first, this was supposed to be orientation only but through a few design choices etc I landed on it referring to both a person’s orientation and gender
I know it’s a bit strange but I kinda like it (and like I mentioned in the post I created this to have a label my oc would identify with, so it’s specific to him and his experiences)
Flexgender: A gender that has a flexing intensity level. Like if you are feel “girl” one day and throughout the day it changes from “kinda girl” to “REALLY GIRL” and everywhere in between.
Interchangeable with genderflux (as genderfluid is with genderflexible).
is this one that you can tag a gender onto the end of? like flexboy or flexgirl
Yeah. Op made flexoy/flexirl flags before this one. Interchangeable with boyflux/girlflux
Usually, the “N” refers to nonbinary, but from my perspective, it stands for all queer identities starting with the letter N, which can include, but is not limited to the following:
Mewgender: a mythical and unique gender identity with psychic energy/abilities and an association with genesis [creation/(pen)ultimacy/formation/metaphorical birth/root], related to pokemon mew.
Fluxodumgender: A Trauma Based, fluid gender where you don’t/can’t keep the same identity for too long, and you have to change it or else you get uncomfortable/Distressed.
The name comes from the latin words Fluxus (“flow / flowing” ) and Incommodum ( “Discomfort” ) — thank you so much @foxby-femby-enby for helping me name the term and giving me advice on the flags! I designed the flags, and I hope they look nice. Please give me constructive criticism on them, I’d love to know how I could get better.
Below are the flags for sunsets of the gender:
Fluxodumgirl: where the gender(s) you go through are feminine in some way:
Fluxodumboy: Where the gender(s) you go through are masculine in some way:
Fluxodumenby: where the gender(s) you go through are neutral/nb in some way:
Fluxodumxeno: where the gender(s) you go through are xenic in some way:
Fluxodumbigender: where you go through/experience two genders at once:
Before I start tagging blogs, I am more than happy to make flags for other subsets that I haven’t gotten to yet (such as Demi- genders, which I want to get to at some point.) I hope somebody finds comfort in this identity, as I do.
