This term refers to one who wants to be a gender other than one’s own.
Cis people cannot be desigender. Desigender is not the same as internalized or external transphobia. One can only be desigender if they acknowledge their gender (or lack thereof), but still want to be a different gender anyway.
Examples include:
A genderfluid person wanting to be a gender they aren’t currently experiencing
A feminine-aligned non-binary person wanting to be unaligned or neutral-aligned
An agender person wanting to experience one or more genders
