TMLTM (trans man loving trans man): a trans man attracted to trans men, primarily or exclusively; transcentered relationship(s) between men.

-Kau

If it’s transphobic for a gay man to not be interested in being with a transman, then how is it not transphobic (or at the very least trans fetishism) for a gay man (who happens to be trans) to only be interested in transmen?

I mean, the whole point is that transmen are men, full stop, no qualifications. Isn’t it?

Because trans men who are only interested in other trans men have completely different motivations than cis men who exclude trans men or are only interested in trans men.

Cis men who won’t even consider trans men as a whole generally do so because they think trans men aren’t real men. Meanwhile, cis men who are only interested in trans men generally don’t see us as people beyond us being trans, perceiving us as some fascinating anomaly rather than people.

Trans men who are only interested in trans men are generally trying to avoid the high risk of transphobia that comes with cis people. It’s essentially a way to completely bypass dealing with the cis men I described in the last paragraph. While highly limiting, it is an effective means of doing so.

Trans men are men, but that doesn’t mean any and all nuance gets thrown out the window when discussing us.
