Maringender is a term used to describe when part of one’s gender is identifiable but the other parts(s) is/are unidentifiable

Here’s what the colours mean (sorta)

Dark Blue: symbolises the unidentifiable part(s) of one’s gender

Middle Blue (possibly): symbolises something in between the undefined and defined

Light Blue: symbolises the identifiable part(s) of one’s gender

Colours were also chosen to represent the sea as the prefix “mar” comes from the Latin word for sea
