An offbinary/abinary type of gender alignment that can be similarly described by another alignment, but it is not that alignment. An alignment running parallel to the binary, not intersecting or touching it.

Essentially, when it feels like you’ve been restricted to binary genders identified at birth, but by using exploits or modifying your own body, you gain the ability to change your gender, with your jailbroken gender, you are free to do whatever you want with it with ease
Since explaining what it is in support of it (and getting it wrong), or criticizing it (and being wrong) is in vogue lately I wanted to give people a lot of context for what it is, who wrote it, why, and a lot of precursors/parallels that developed that we were inspired by as well as some of the works and theorists that are the basis for Gender Nihilism.
WHO DID IT Gender Nihilism as a “movement” or a “community” with a shared “politics” was started by genderkills, anarcho-animeism, @anarchacannibalism and I – trans women, non-binary, lesbian, Indigenous and Latina, multiracial, students and organizers. We are where the term originated and how a lot of the formal theory even developed, and whereas it was before an informal group with a loose set of similar ideas.
WHY AND WHAT IT IS A lot of us are alienated by feminism itself and gender especially. As trans women, as non-binary, as lesbians, the focus on the ‘female subject’ and of woman as a positive political project, always leaves people out and it always harms and excludes. Every broadening of the category of woman does not ameliorate this. We are feminists who, due to the very nature of our existence, decided to surpass feminism and it’s focus on identity entirely. But trans communities are not a space where we find a solution to this either and we see the same exact problems in a slightly different format.
We are not interested in recuperating an idea that has only caused suffering regardless of how “empowered” some feel.
Because we came to the conclusion that gender and colonization are linked we knew that as Indigenous peoples we could not develop a nihilist scream against the nightmare-ish hell of gender without explicitly mentioning its connections to colonialism. Our main influence on this is Maria Lugones, who argues that colonialism introduced a coloniality of gender to Indigenous peoples in which racialized bodies were seen as inherently ‘disgendered’ – wrong, intersexed, non-differentiated, masculinity in women and femininity in men, which was absent in the ways in which the gendering of white bodies occurred. The problem with radical feminists is that they assume the ‘sexed’ body of whiteness is universal and that biological sex is not racialized. We also know from Andrea Smith and Leanne Simpson that racialized men participated, collaborated and were complicit in the colonization of Indigenous and Black women, in which the concepts of men/women were not even existent before.
In thinking of ‘Indigenous genders’ we find this quote from Baedan 2 applicable to our thoughts:
“In considering this provocation in the context of our inquiry into gender and domestication, a glaring contradiction emerges: why is [Fredy Perlman’s] willful embrace of the unknown (with regards to work) not likewise applied to gender? It takes very little effort to extend the critique of anthropological certainty into the gendered world. We could easily parallel it in saying: Anthropologists, sympathetic to primitive societies, will view the relationships between Men and Women as more fair and desirable in these societies than in civilized societies. They are wrong in that there is no relationship between Men and Women. They live in a world of gender, and so they can only perceive the varied and ineffable existences of others as conforming to these categories. An anthropologist with half a brain will say that these gender relationships are less rigid and dominating than the ones we experience; an anthropologist with an imagination would say that these are not gender relationships in the way we understand them at all.
We are not begging for a non-existent past but an unknown future. We believe it would be better to have no gender and embrace a voidness of body than it would to have more ‘accepting’ or ‘comfortable’ patriarchal oppression. We find even in earlier European societies and non-European societies, that the rigid boundaries of genders and the roles ascribed to them as not preferable to absence. Complete free expression and autonomy are more desirable than different gendered dynamics that simply restrict us to a different hell.
To abolish patriarchy, which is a goal most of us agree with, then we must embrace gender nihilism and the destruction of heterosexuality.
WHAT IT IS NOT We are not seeking to restrict people’s expressions, what they wish to do to their bodies, we do not care about heels or makeup outside of their patriarchal function. These expressions will not disappear. Gender Nihilism would mean none of our currently gendered/sexed traits would be gendered/sexed – they would be without meaning. Ultimately, we are free to exist in any way we do, without the chains of transmisogyny, heterosexism and misogyny.
We will all exist, women, trans people, non-binaries, but not in any ways that are recognizable to us. “Women,” “trans,” “non-binary” will cease to make sense as categories. But it does not mean we will be cis and male, it means cis and male are no longer things that exist. In the same ways the proletariat cannot exist without the bourgeoisie, so we will not exist without transmisogyny, heterosexism and misogyny. Good. We see this as the best solution to the violence and exploitation of everyday life.
GENDER NIHILIST TEXTS A lot of this was published before ‘gender nihilism’ as a term even came into existence or otherwise came to the same conclusions independently of us, but the intent, the rage, the focus, and the conclusions are all there.
INSPIRATIONS FOR GENDER NIHILISM These are just some of the sources that directly inspired us to come to these conclusions about gender and nihilism. Many of us come from different fields of study and developed sometimes contradictory ideas. Some of us were Marxists, others phenomenologists, some of us immersed in critical race theory and decolonization theories, most of us insurrectionary anarchists and queer nihilists but not all. Reading through some of these, it becomes clear what intellectual tradition we’re following and why we are where we are in terms of theory.
Troicene: An indeterminate, intermediate gender that is defined by the absence of qualities that are exclusive to gender masculinity and gender femininity, which is expressed through subversion of the Gender Binary and Genderfuckery.
Etymology
From French, “Trois”, meaning “Three” + “-cene”, an English neologistic suffix indicating
gender epiceneity. The use of the word “Trois” is an allusion to the
term “Neutrois”, literally meaning “Neuter Third”. The suffix “-cene” is borrowed from the word Epicene, referring to midbinary gender-neutrality. Coined by Gent (Gender-Resource), 2020.

Flag
The flag was created at the same time of the term, which was coined in this post itself. This flag consists of five horizontal, solid-colored stripes. From top to bottom, they are olive, green, lavender, gold and black. Flag by Gent (Gender-Resource), 2020.
The color significance is as follows:
The olive green stripe represents the quality of an indeterminate/epicene gender.
The moss green stripe represents gender-neutrality.
The lavender stripe represents Queerness, Genderfuckery and subversion of the Gender Binary.
The light yellow stripe represents the quality of being a “Third Gender”.
The very dark brown stripes represents the absence of definitive masculine and feminine gender qualities.

The yellow used for the heart and infinity symbol is meant to be warm, welcoming, and inclusive. And of course, the infinity symbol is for the neurodiverse community! 🌸
Alienkinic: a gender relating to being alien or alien kin in some way. The gender could feel alien to you, feel like a gender an alien would have, or could be the gender you have when in an alienkin shift.
Could also be used by alien headmates in systems!
Color meanings:
Light gray- the “small, humanoid, bug-eyed alien” stereotype.
Green- the “little green men” stereotype for aliens
Purple- the relation this gender has to outerspace
Darker gray- the way this gender feels disconnected from earth
Inastellaric: A space gender that is directly related to the endless void of space, while also being connected to neutron stars and black holes. It feels similar to the vast emptiness of the universe.

Malaxophobia: The irrational fear of love play. Someone suffering from this condition can expect to experience a very high amount of anxiety from merely thinking of love play, let alone actually experiencing it. What are the restriction of neugender?

Neuneutrois is also not a valid neugender identity, since you can’t be a mix of gender neutral and gender neutral. You’re just neutrois!

How fluid is neugender?
Neugender, similarly to androgyne, can be very fluid (as in neutroisfluid, neutroisflux and androgyneflux). The rules of neugender are as follows:

The gender can fluctuate from 1%-99% in each gender characteristic (neutral and any other gender), as long as the combined total is 100%

What are the restrictions of adversus?
There are barely any restrictions of adversus. Some helpful guidelines however:
You can be Adversus Polygender (multiple gender identites that are all simultaneously genderless), but you can also be polygender and have a gender identity or identities that are adversus.
Adversus Agender is also possible, since the statuses of gendered and genderless in adversus can fluctuate, therefore making adversus agender simultaneously genderless and a fluctuating genderless.
Literally any gender identity can be adversus. Literally. Genderfluid? You can be adversus. Demigender? You can be adversus too. Adversus Neugender? Come on and join the party.
How fluid is adversus?
Adversus can be as fluid as the person with the gender identity wishes. Here are some rules regarding adversus fluidity, however:
Adversus genders are typically both 100% and 0% of a gender at the same time (technically another term for bigender with one of the genders being agender, although adversus can be felt as one gender), but the percentages can fluctuate to any degree the person with an adversus identity wishes.
The two different types of gender characteristics (gendered and genderless) can meet at 50% each. As long as it is not consistently 50% each, it’s still adversus. If it is constantly 50/50, then you would be demigender.
Twinity : An identity or gender that’s directly related to you being a twin. When your personhood is directly related to being a twin.
Halftwinity : An identity or gender that’s directly related to you being a twin, but your twin is dead, or lost, or in some way separated and it feels like you’re missing your other half. When your personhood is directly related to being a twin, but your twin isn’t there.
