No body is completely united to each other if not by personal beliefs. Everybody has impersonal sentiments towards people in some degree. Love is mostly circumstantial if not by spiritual affections, unconditional love is another human belief, and it’s dangerous materially.
I don’t know what you’re talking about but it and your tags sound very interesting. What does agamy and nonamory mean?
Here’s two articles about agamy (in Spanish and English). There’s also an fb group called agamia, Spanish speakers have its own conceptualization of what is being agamous.
Pickycel: when you’re voluntarily celibate (volcel) because you’re too picky.
Please @anglophones: take care when referring to latines as hispanics, specially if you want to include Brazilians. Lusos (descending/ascending Portugal) and others that are racially mixed without European ancestry can still be latino(american).
Coincidentally I’m both hispanic and Brazilian. But I know many other people in Latin America can’t be grouped as Hispanic. There are many Italians, Germans, Africans, indigenous peoples, Ukrainians and Polish folks where I live.
Sociopolitically we can be white, even if in your nation/country/territory/land we are nonwhite/people of color (PoC). Ethnicity/race-ness can be different around the world, plus race is an empiricism and a social contruct (a human classification) beyond nature, so stop thinking your life experience is universal and recognize me as white, because where we live yes I’m white.
I know Latino/Latina is more demonym used in Spanish and English rather than Portuguese, but keep in mind Latine is a broad and racially diverse demonymy.
Constellavir: When you have a space-aligned or space-related gender and have more than one male or male-aligned identity at the same time. (You can also call this space-aligned polyvir.)
A weird concept I had floating around in my brain.
A man flag and boy flag (top left and top right) and a woman flag and girl flag (bottom left and bottom right.)
I may edit these to have different colors but I guess my idea was have color palettes for other flags. Like maybe I could use them to make a genderqueer man flag or a nonbinary girl flag. I dunno lol.
I originally wanted to use a 5-stripe format for these. I’m not really sure!
An idea for an enby flag. You know how I made man and woman flags, and then made boy and girl flags that were slightly adjusted in color? That’s what this is. Some people may see “enby” as the diminutive form of “nonbinary person”, so I used that idea to make this flag.
Omni-oriented gender hoarder (left): Someone who identifies as all genders within their gender hoard. Semi-oriented gender hoarder (right): Someone who only identifies as some of the genders in their gender hoard.
I hadn’t thought to come up with a flag or term for that! I certainly could at some point but maybe we can come up with a shorter word lol.
Here’s a flag for attravir, which is an orientationgender specifically for gendervir folk. I’m not sure how to specify which orientation it is, but maybe I’ll come up with a naming format some other time.
Xenboy/xenbyboy/xenenboy is a term that combines the words xenogender, enby, and boy. It is intended for people who wish to highlight being simultaneously xenoic/xenine, non binary, and boy. It can apply to persons with any number of genders, and can also be used to encompass fluctuations and overlaps between those identities.
Full identification with xenine/xenoic, non binary, and boy is not required, though at least a partial identification with all three is a defining aspect of Xenboy.
The flag is free to use and no attribution is required, but to those who wish to post it with credit my twitter handle is @eboyrights.
I am open to some feedback on the term and the flag. ^-^
Xen(gender): experiencing a particular gender as a xenoic experience, or
including xenoic feelings/aspects, even though the gender is usually
not a xenogender.
anyway. i came up with these flags on the 14th, but i’m just now getting around to sharing them. so! yeah. i really had to make these so i could actually help grasp some of my gender identity lol
When you feel / are two (or more) contradicting or generally
`opposite’ genders at the same time, such as being simultaneously completely
gender-null and another gender.
The two sides to the flag represent each contradicting gender; as ‘warm’ colours contrast with ‘cold’ colours. The black stripe represents the contradiction between your genders.

Botic- gender alignment with botgender/robots/bots/etc.
Climatologique- a gender related to climatology.
Digigender- a digital gender. it can range from any digital thing or file; virus, malware, .txt, .mp3, anti-virus, trojan, email, etc. gender can be replaced with girl, xirl, nonbinary, nb, enby, fluid, boy, boi, etc.

Speleogologique- a gender related to speleology
Vurilic- a gender connected to computer viruses and can be used as a modifier!
There are also a ton of web browser and other science related genders, but I figured I’d stick to just computers and principals in science for now. If you want more based on the other things, let me know!
A xenogender defined by having a connection to leaves. Some possible connections could include genders that
cannot be fully understood outside of the context of leaves
relate to leaves at any point in their life cycle
are linked to leaves through neurodivergence
move the way leaves do, such as when interacting with wind
change with the seasons in a similar way that leaves do
feel strongest when outside or in close proximity to nature
connect with the sounds leaves make (rustling, crunching, etc)
coexist with trees, branches, plants, vines, nature in general
strengthen when in the sun
basically any way a gender can be related to leaves
Leafin is a standalone gender but can also be used as an umbrella term for more specific leaf types. For example a maple leafin could be a person who’s gender is related to maple leaves. Leafin genders are predominantly xenine and neutral in nature, but that does not exclude the possibility of being combined and experienced alongside other genders or alignments.
Related terms: biogender, naturogender, leafegender, ouygender
This is my first coined term on this blog, so feedback is appreciated! The flag is free to use alongside the term, no attribution necessary.
[image description: a flag with five horizontal bars. from top to bottom the colors are dark olive green, yellow green, khaki, desaturated yellow green, and desaturated dark olive green. the center bar is the thickest, the first and fifth bars are medium thickness, and the second and 4th bars are the thinnest. in the center of the flag is an olive colored leaf.]

Exspiravitgender- A gender that feels ghostly and connected to spirits, demons, angels, or similar entities in some way
Gendermanes- a gender that feels like it has faded over time, into a ghostly version of its previous self.
Spectergender- a gender that feels transparent or seethrough [sic], or a gender that is heavily connected to ghosts and spirits
I couldn’t really find many for the mist, afterlife, or misty figure parts, but I’d be more than happy to coin something! ~Mod Em
Again, while tagging, I noticed a need for another term. I came up with this:
Locatiagender: Both a standalone term and a way to group/describe all MOGAI genders related to a location like a store, home, hotel, etc. The genders can either be connected to them, feel like them, etc.
I want to add that this term doesn’t apply to specific cities, states, chains, etc. just general things like a city rather than Austin or somewhere.
Coldrainisom- a gender that feels like freezing/cold rain
Dapean- a gender related to mixed rain and snow, weather, thunderstorms, fallen snow, fluffy pillows, and days of sleep
Delugender- a gender that is strengthened and/or more apparent during rainstorms. can be combined with other genders i.e. delugirl, deluboy, deluenby, etc.
Drizzlegender- a gender that is aesthetically associated with the rain. not to be confused with genders that are affected by rain and storms !
Ettermiddagregnstormine- a gender related to afternoon storms, thunder, lightning, and other related topics.
Heavrainginx- a gender that feels like heavy rain pounding down.
Lavelope- a gender related to snow storms, rain storms, clouds, extremely thick fog, the ocean floor, polar islands, and whales. feels cold and deep
Lightninguso- a gender related to lightning-y weather.
Lightrainginx- a gender that feels like light rain tapping on a tin roof.
Lysglimtine- a gender related to lightning, thunderstorms, clouds, and rain. feels electric and warm (can be used as Lysglimtgirl, boy, etc.)
Precipidary- a gender that fluxuates[sic]/shifts during weather involving rain. this includes hurricanes, thunderstorms, sunshowers, etc.
Procellafluid- a fluid gender that is especially fluid during thunderstorms and lightning storms, and relatively stable otherwise
GENMOTERE: A fluid and/or flux gender that is felt more prominently when one’s presentation, behavior, or other such traits lead them to be seen as intimidating or unsettling, as if one is fulfilling a purpose by appearing this way.
Etymology:
Gen-: From gender 🙂
Mot-: From motif, an Old French word meaning “will, drive, motivation”.
-ere: From horrere, the Latin origin of the word horror.
Alternate (optional) gendered versions are garmotere (masculine) and filmotere (feminine).
Since we’ve started tagging terms with their types/categories, we realized that there isn’t a good term for something we’ve needed to describe a few times. So, we decided to coin something:
Astronogender- a standalone term and a way to group/describe all MOGAI genders related to space, planets, stars, etc. (not really including aliens).
We’re also thinking about making more specific ones for just planets or just stars, but nothing’s set in stone at the moment.
I made a post about remembering those who *only* identify as trans: not trans men, trans women, transfem or masc, nb, genderqueer, aligned or unaligned—just trans. And I was thinking last night about how I really liked that concept…not a gender, per se, just an identity defined by transness. Like how people say, “I would always be trans, even if I were assigned a different gender at birth.” I really liked that idea, so I came up with the following concept: Transemphatic.
Transemphatic is an word that refers to those who emphasize transness as a very important part, or the most important part, of their identity. It has ties to concepts such as trans radicalism, anti-assimilationist queerness, and trenderpunk. It can be someone’s only identity, as in, I’m trans and nothing else, or it could be combined with another label, like, I’m a transemphatic woman, a transemphatic man, a transemphatic xeumel*, etc.
In the case of being combined with being a trans man or woman, it could be understood as the person wanting to emphasize their transness, not their (wo)manhood. Someone who isn’t transemphatic might say, “I’m a man,” rather than, “I’m a trans man,” while a transemphatic person would put the focus on the trans part of themself, not the man part.
The concept or state of transemphasis can be a visible one, shown through clothing, pronouns, names, presentation, etc, or a private one, in the way that many labels are private. For an example of a way one personally may show one’s transemphasis, take using neopronouns or emoji/symbol pronouns. The pronouns ⚧️/⚧️s might be used by a transemphatic person, because by using them, one is visibly emphasizing one’s transness in an inescapable way. However, this is just one example, and the concept of transemphasis is a very flexible and personal one, that each person who takes upon the label can and will interpret and contextualize in a different way.
This is a concept I put a name to, but it may already exist in different forms without my knowledge. Anyone can use the term, I’ve never been a fan of making up your mind for you.
Shoregender. Part of my naturegender series, as requested
A gender that is on the border of fluidity and stability. The stable aspect of the gender feels solid and “real”, but the shoregender person also needs to be careful to not lose their footing. The fluid aspect is unpredictable, and needs to be explored in order to be understood.
hey there lovely friends!! i couldn’t find any labels like this, so i decided to coin it myself!! /srs
shapeshiftgender – a gender that has no single set-in-stone form. it can be anything it feels or desires and can change at any moment to any form; is only limited by the individual’s perception of their gender(s)

since there isn’t really a Name for the current gender im feeling:
airique: a gender that “feels like air” or is associated with air, and is ambiguous, not related to any concept of maleness, femaleness, masculinity, femininity, androgyne-ness, ambiguity, neutrois-ness, neutrality, or the specific label of aporagender; rather, it’s an aporagender as an umbrella term where the gender is defined by ambiguity and airiness itself, but not being genderfree specifically.
this gender can be defined under general aporagender, ambiguous gender, and xenogender, as this gender is related to the air, the wind, and the motion of air and wind to describe how it “behaves”.
hm. got no flag for it rn but will make one when i can think of it.
to clarify a mistake i made in this description: it IS associated with ambiuguity, it’s like the defining feature aside from it being directly associated with air.
and unlike genderfree which is described as having a fluidity like air, this gender is associated with aporine, ambiguous gender feelings as well as “feeling like air” and being similar to, or relating to the air, the wind, and the motion of how air and wind “behaves”.
Slimegender: A subset of fluidflux/genderfluid where all of your genders feel like differently gendered slimes mixing together, with different combinations and amounts coming to the surface at different times.
[image description: a plum flag with a olive green border. color drips from the top of the plum. the drips are separated into five sections. from left to right, they are: blue, pink, white, pink, blue]
[image description: a flag split into half. both halves look like capital ‘L’s, with the one on the left right side up and pastel green, and the one on the right upside-down and pastel blue. and orange blob (looks like a rounded off five-pointed star) is centered on the flag. two lines swirl into the blob. the left one is yellow, and the right one is purple]
Intergender: A gender identity under the nonbinary and transgender umbrella terms. Intergender people have a gender identity that is in the middle between the binary genders of female and male, and may be a mix of both. The word “intergender” has been independently coined by different people at different times, resulting in two main differences in meaning:
1. Some of them have given it as an identity label that any person can use, even if they are not intersex (dyadic) themselves. This definition seems to have been coined earlier, at least in the 1990s. (However, there are other terms one could use instead of this if one isn’t intersex, like androgyne).
2. Others have said that “intergender” can only by used by people who are intersex, and that intergender is an identity only for intersex people. Intersex people need words for gender identities that correlate only with intersex bodies. In that case, dyadic nonbinary people should respect intersex people by taking up a different label than intergender for themselves, such as androgyne or bigender.

[image description: a flag with seven stripes. from top to bottom they are: light blue, white, light purple, grey, light purple, white, light pink]
Color meanings: “I wanted to demonstrate that being intergender is related to being intersex, so I stuck within the same general layout and color scheme as the intersex flag, but I’ve placed the blue and pink (often used to signify the binary genders or sexes) at the extremities of the flag, with purple in the middle. The gradient from blue to pink in the center of the intersex flag is here replaced by a gray stripe, as purple can’t make a gradient into itself. (I had the alternate idea of a gradient where the purple was deeper in the center, but we ended up going with this one. This way everything is about the same brightness and saturation, which I think looks more harmonious.).“
[image description: a flag with seven stripes. from top to bottom they are: pink, grey, yellow, grey, yellow, grey, blue]
Tidalgender: Similar to the tides of an ocean, tidalgender is a gender that rises and falls in intensity every few hours, days, weeks, months, or even years. The lower levels of tidalgender are called low (gender) while the higher levels are called high (gender), so for example you could say you feel like you’re high stargender, or low demiboy, or even high genderflux and low genderfluid simultaneously.

:
web genders
surfacewebgender – a gender that is visible and public. this gender is easy to find.
deepwebgender – this gender is hidden and somewhat mysterious. it is usually harmless, despite its obscureness.
darkwebgender – this gender is sinister and secret. it is illicit in nature.
:
steamgender – a gender composed of multiple creative parts, and the parts are all distinct. these parts can be grouped, similar to how games are sorted into genres. these parts can be distributed to others.
Nebulabi: definitely being attracted to two genders, but having difficulty distinguishing that attraction due to neurodivergancy and may or may not have attracted to three or more genders
Feminuon – a femme gender that feels almost artificial; like an AI in some or all ways. the nuance of this gender outside of being feminine and somewhat artificial is built by you, and given its qualities by you, similar to if you had built an AI.
Bortian- A gender based on bort diamonds. A person with this gender is generally looked down upon and seen as lesser, but is incredibly powerful and valuable in their own way. They are often passed over for many different purposes that they would be very good for, but when they find a spot that they are valued, they are priceless.
Light Blue – To indicate the brightness and beauty of the Bortian person. Black – To indicate the difficulties this person faces, maybe due to their gender, but likely due to constant rejection by the mainstream for many reasons. White – For the inherent worth of the Bortian person Grey – For the grey-area that this person exists in; seen as worthless by many, and as priceless by some, often leading to issues in self image but also showing that those who value this person for who they are can be trusted
This gender is often paired with self-esteem issues, and an inherent strength that the person themself might have trouble seeing.
Bort diamonds are diamonds that are considered unclean and impure, worth very little to most jewelers, and in general less worthy. However, in many cases they are as strong and durable as any diamond.
Willowgender. Part of my naturegender series, as requested
Willowgender- A gender with a stable base; a solid feeling of “this is where I belong”, but the frequent swaying of identity with the right stimulus. The identity is rooted in certainty, but if a new label occurs to the person, or if someone asks a question that leads to uncertainty, solid footing is quickly found again.
an anon asked me to redesign the twink pride flag, and i have two potential concepts since i couldn’t pick a favorite!
so i modeled it after the bear flag (which i’ve seen other gay flags based on, like otter and cub flags, so i felt that it was a good choice), which is seven stripes with the bottom three being white, dark grey, and black. where the bear flag has a pawprint, i put the double mars/mlm sign featured in the original twink flag, and i also made a nlm version and one with no symbol. the original twink flag (from what i could find) uses pink to represent femininity and yellow to represent youth and happiness, so i tried to keep with that theme!
for the first flag, i made the pink closer to red than purple and added a darker pink stripe. i also added a turquoise stripe, as turquoise represents femininity and love, and used a similar yellow to the original.
for the second, i kept the darker pink stripe and added a purple stripe between it and the turquoise stripe to represent degrees of femininity!
As stated above, this term previously lacked a flag. This flag consists of six, solid colored, horizontal stripes of the same color. From top to bottom, the stripes are burgundy, light brown, yellow, purple, dark indigo and forest green. Flag by Gent (Gender-Resource), 2020. The means are as follows:
The burgundy stripe and yellow stripes represent pluripotency, as they represent red marrow and yellow marrow, respectively.
The light brown stripe represents the gender as it originally was prior to transformation.
The purple and forest green stripes represents change over time.
The dark indigo stripe represents the gender after transformation.
Hello! I really like this term and concept. Thanks for sharing this with me. 🙂
Here’s what I would suggest as a definition:
Aporangi: An aporine, androgynous bigender.
I created an Aporangi flag that is a combination of the Aporagender and Androgyne flags.
I hope you like it!
– Gent
EDIT: In anticipation of a potential request for this word using the term “Ambiguine” instead of “Androgynous”, which I associated with the suffix “-angi”, I am listing the following. My suggestion for a suffix indicating ambiguinity is “-guine”
Aporaguine: An aporine, ambiguine bigender.
This flag combines both the Aporagender flag and Ambiguine flag:
i was inspired by bi-lesbian’s mspec lesbian symbols to create these mspec gay man symbols! it uses the mlm carnation and leaves and the mspec double crescent moon! the first uses the color of the mspec gay man flag, while the others are colored to match more specific mspec gay man terms. (click them, they’re transparent and have white outlines!)
mspec gay man | bi gay man ply gay man | pan gay man | omni gay man
Okay my feminility is in the closet. It’s a part of me is outed the other is closeted. It’s a form of being a man-woman in my case. You could say ‘oh just nonbinary’, it’s like being cusper (between those things). Obviously there are transhet women considering herself part gay men in the sense that she is gendering her sex traits as male. Some trans people don’t have a sexual orientation, they just go saying “I’m trans” and people figure out how it is, without mentioning she is hetero trans/straight. It’s called voidsexual nowadays I guess (where you are non-oriented/non-orientation).
Why within me there’s a trans wlm (woman loving men), there’s a wlw that is mlm too without being mlw (man loving women). In the end it’s me having complicated relationships with gender and orientation. People should understand that the straight privilege trans people have is incompatible with the privilege cishet binary people have.
There’s the problematic terms girlfag and HsT(s) (homosexual transsexual), we are over it, right‽ They are things of the past.
I would be secretly transfem, who knows‽ “ftm female” and “mtf male” are terfy as fuck, it’s like saying you’re still your assigned sex but you somehow have a fe/male gender identity. I don’t about the stereotype you saying, I know many binary transfems draw the stereotype of sissies/crossdressers mixing their idetity with fetish/kink, fucc off I’m tired of these. Obviously transfemininity is not a fetish or a kink, but if for some it’s, what’s the problem‽ Are you gonna police/ people’s identities, confiscate their transgender cards‽
Honestly it’s 2020, you can call yourself whatever you want, come on. It’s just words omg. If I call myself nonbinary cis men, should other nonbinary DMAB men do the same? Nope! I’m not forcing anyone to be what I am. But other people try everytime.
new xenogender: seancegender! i created this with the idea of a connection to klaus hargreeves in mind, though i made the meaning more broad for others (:
seance “a meeting at which people attempt to make contact with the dead, especially through the agency of a medium.”
seancegender can be described as a gender which feels deep, often overwhelming, and ethereal. someone who is seancegender also shares a connection with the dead/the afterlife.
Cisish: The identity of being cis with a slight divergence due to being in a system and/or being nonhuman.
Overall flag for each representing cisness, with a dark variation of pink/blue respectively denoting the slight divergence from cis.
For DID/OSDD systems and alters ONLY.
:
•sommgender•
A xenogender inspired by all kinds of tea. This can be used by neurodivergent people who feel a connection to tea, tea making, tea drinking or even tea related witchcraft. The name is inspired by “tea sommelier” which is the tea equivalent of “barista”.
Gold (Aurum) is the metal associated with masculinity. It’s the first metal in the Metal Alloy System. A gender that is masculine is known as Aur.
The Alloy System only describes the aspects of a gender. It is not a gender, or alignment, or presentation. A person can be any gender, present their gender in any way, and be adjacent (or not adjacent) to any gender, and its Metal Element will not change.
If Aur is combined with another element, it makes an Alloy. An alloy is the combination of two or more metals, and in this case, the combination of two traits/aspects/linities. So if a gender is two elements or more combined, it has a degree of all of those metal’s associated aspects.
Whether a person’s gender is made of multiple genders, polyfractal, layered, or complex, isn’t important. This system gives a simple way to describe complex genders and experiences.
Below are described alloys (genders) made of Gold and one other element.
Auren are genders that are feminine and masculine. This is NOT the same as being male and female, or androgynous.
Aucoer is a gender that is masculine and not aligned to a binary. An example might be solarian, or mascgender.
Autian is a nongender that is masculine.
Auzin is a gender that is masculine and neutral. An example is Cenrell.
Aulumi is a gender that fluctuates in masculinity. Boyflux or mascufluid are both examples.
Aufera is a gender with its masculinity being the only thing specified. What the other part is, if it’s known or not, mentioned or not, large or small, is irrelevant to all but the person themselves. Demimasculine is the best example.
Aunial is a gender that is exclusive to a specific nationality, religion or race, that is masculine in traits. Brotherboy is the closest example.
Aulan is a gender that is androgynous and masculine. Androgynous is not inherently masculine+feminine. An example is Androx.
Ausan is an unknown gender where only part is definitely masculine. How much is known, and whether the person is actively exploring or not, doesn’t matter. The gender can be confusing, indescribable, or unknowable.
Aukoba is a gender detached from any cultural binary/trinary, self-defined, that is masculine.
Aumona/Auni is a gender affected by an illness (chronic or neurodivergent) that is masculine.
Aulea is a xenic gender with masculine traits.
Aumera is a gender exclusive to those with an intersex condition that has masculine aspects.
Aucro is a gender with such exclusive traits that the person themselves is the only one who knows or has it, and it has masculine traits or energy.
Aumane is a gender founded deeply in one’s life experience, religion, beliefs, nonhuman identity, orientation, or otherkin, that has masculine energy.
Flags will have to be by request. I don’t want others making their own yet, sorry!
A gender that is masculine, and unique to one’s experiences. A gender that is connected or influenced by a person’s past life, beliefs, spirituality, memories, emotions, or orientation, and is also masculine. The gender can be any alignment including not on any at all, and can present and express itself in any form.
Yes. I’m pixelgender of pangender, so I experience both binary genders in small proportions. Sociopolitically I consider myself a transfem/mtf man, identitily attraflux. I’m a plyke, I don’t see myself entirely as a lesbian, but @bi-lesbian stated faer lesbian flags are interchangeable with “gay woman” and “sapphic”, that’s why I’m comfortable using faer ply lesbian symbol.
I’m queerplatonically sapphic/gay for women, sensually/erotically gay for men. I’m flexible in the sense that sometimes I’m contraic/enanteic/strayt/hétere (the other part of my magigender). I called it omnigayflexible. I’m gai/lahuric/lahurian too.
Redid the genderless flag as a request from a friend! They didn’t like how it was only grey so I fixed it up by adding some purple lines to contrast the black ones!
Huntergender: A gender connected to the show Hunter x Hunter; a gender which is brave, persistent, strong and dangerous, with an air of mystery to it. It may grow and shrink at times, but when it shrinks it only becomes more powerful overall.
(left picture with warm colors)and genderfluid masc leaning flag
(right with cool colors) since most of the ones id seen just werent sitting well with me
(not to be confused with identities such as
genderfae and
genderfaun)
i kept the original pink/blue from the flags when making these (i tried making something with the purple stripe too but wasnt happy with my results, someone can make that themself (and tag me cuz id love to see) if they want to
reblogs appreciated / plz credit if used / requests are open
Gendercaecus: (caecus meaning blind in latin) A gender that you cannot see or decipher. You may be able to feel the idea of it, as if you were seeing it with your eyes closed, only able to sense the difference between light and shadow. Your gender also makes it difficult to tell the gender of others, as if viewing them through the same blur of only light and shadow. Sometimes you find it difficult to understand that others do not experience gender the same way, because this is your normal.
Autofictosexual: being romantically/sexually attracted to fictional characters, but only those that you create. This attraction is not as much affected by your ability to create characters that suit your tastes as it is by the fact that you created them yourself.
Shih-Tsugender: A gender that feels small, fluffy, loud, and odd looking. It feels dog-like in nature, but doesn’t quite fit the general mold of what you see as a “dog”. This gender also has aspects of acting cat-like.
Mainly meant for animal lovers or otherkin who are closely tied to Shih Tsu dogs or just a connection to both cats and dogs.
The feelings of being dog-like and cat-like can also be substituted for femininity and masculinity.
Victoriangender continued! These are the same as Victoriangender (gender relating to the Victorian era) but are specifically fem aligned or masc aligned respectively!
:
primsexual/primromamtic – a romantic or sexual attraction to primitive individuals. this can apply to people who visually appear primitive, those who act in a primitive manner, or those who hold primitive beliefs (things like conservatism are not included in primitive beliefs since conservatism appeared post-industrial revolution).
for the first day of aro week i made a higher quality version of this arrow aro flag i made a few years ago, as well as an aroallo one and an aroace one! i will be doing more of these aro flags for different identities throughout asaw so feel free to request one!
This is the symbolic braid for Biploar Disorder, “Maniac Depression.” The contrasting blue and yellow colors represent the extreme states of high and low the individual goes through.
Bipolar pride flag suggestion^^^
(yellow for mania/hypomania, navy blue for depression, light blue for neutral periods)
I really want to get more involved in the Mad Pride movement, and I wanted some pride flags for disorders. I know there are others out there, but I wanted to propose a few alternatives so people could choose what seemed to fit best. More coming soon.
Hey, everyone! Dysphoria is a real pain in the butt to deal with, and we know it can be difficult to find ways to lessen it or distract yourself from it. You don’t need to have dysphoria to be transgender, but many (if not most) trans people do have dysphoria. And gender dysphoria (for those who have it) just sucks.
Since we get a lot of asks from people who are looking for tips to help manage their dysphoria, we thought we would make a masterpost to help everyone out. So, this is some added advice from the mods on coping with it! The key is distraction, and trying to remember that it will get better one day. Here we go!

General Tips
Making a music playlist of your favorite songs!
You can also explore new music on YouTube, or check out some CDs from your local library.
We had a whole assortment of recommendations a while ago for music that helps people when they feel dysphoric because they can sing along. You could try to sing along to music, or lip synch if that makes you feel better, or just listen to your fav songs!
Cleaning or tidying and/or doing laundry; doing something to make your environment/surroundings better can also give you a sense of accomplishment.
Name and pronoun affirmations
You can make yourself some cards with your name and pronouns on them and carry them with you, or doodle in a notebook or make virtual edits and/or ask supportive friends and family to verbally participate in these affirmations
Wearing clothes that you feel good in (shoes, hats, dresses, sweaters, accessories etc.)
Taking up a hobby that you find enjoyable (skateboarding, making bracelets, writing, learning a new language, playing an instrument, joining a tabletop gaming club, etc.)
Watching YouTube videos (let’s-plays are Emery’s fav, and Lee likes music videos)
Dyeing your hair and/or getting a haircut (this can make you feel like a million bucks).
Info on getting short hair is here for transmasc people!
Transfemme people could try buying some cute hairclips or headbands from CVS or another store, which are small enough to easily hide if you’re in the closet.
Check out our dysphoria tag! You’ll see other suggestions on things to do, and Qs from other people who are dysphoric. Remember, you aren’t alone.
Journal about how you feel.
You could have one journal for negative things, because it feels good to get them out, and another journal for positivity and notes to yourself. Or you could write everything all in one place, it’s up to you.
You could also post on a private sideblog, or type in notes on your phone if you don’t have access to a physical journal
Practice some grounding/calming/meditation techniques.
It’s a good idea to do something that makes you feel extra valid as your gender, like packing, binding, tucking, and wearing breast forms.
Maybe trans feminine individuals could put on makeup, or clear nail polish, or use flower-scented body wash when they shower. We have info on tucking here.
Trans masculine people could put on a button up, or masculine-coded clothing, or make a beard with makeup. We have info on binding without a binder here, and packing without a packer here.
Practicing Self-care, ex. taking a bath with a bath bomb (if that doesn’t induce dysphoria) to wind down. Maybe having tea and going to bed early?
Talking to and getting in touch with other trans friends/people you may know, who will understand what you’re going through and are willing to support you is important!
If you don’t have a GSA at your school, PFLAG meetings in a nearby town, or any other local LGBT support groups, online community can be helpful too.
Take a walk and/or exercise a bit!! Even if you’re unable to do that because of disabilities, get some fresh air and new scenery if you can.
Find little things to appreciate about your body, or try not to think about it at all. Remember, this is about what helps you best, and it’s different for everyone.
Spend time with a pet, if you have one!
Try to work on planning your transition. Have a goal, and plan how you’ll get there.
Gather information about legally changing your name where you live when you turn 18 or the age of legal adulthood, read up on the effects of hormones, look at different surgery techniques and surgeons and prices, etc. We have info on some of the above in our transfeminine and transmasculine resource pages.
Start saving money now, even if it’s only a few dollars a month, or a few coins. When you turn 18, you’ll be informed and ready to start your transition, even if it involves saving money for a few years after to be able to afford it if your insurance doesn’t cover it fully. It’s possible, and you can do it!
Watch other people’s transition videos, and read their transition blogs. Again, this may help or make it worse, but you will be better prepared.
Go to your local public library and read a book, if you can! That might distract you, and it can be either fun or educational or both.
You can also see if they have any programs/events coming up, or see if they have any museum/zoo passes you could check out.
Listen to music, wear comfy clothes, curl up with a blanket, and chill out. Be cozy!
Have a countdown until you’re 18 (you could use an app or write it in a calendar) or a countdown until you’re able to get a new shirt, or whatever you’re looking forward to. Countdowns can be motivating.
Get organized! Clean things, sort through your things, make lists of what you need to do, color code, or whatever you want. It’ll help take your mind off things, and you’ll be helping yourself later.
Make your own Activity list of things you can do to help with dysphoria or distract yourself. Try to include as many healthy options as you can!
Include 3 things minimum that you know you’ll be able to do, like putting on affirming underwear or going on a walk for example, but make sure it’s three things specifically that you can do.
Include 3 goals you will have to work harder to do, like maybe exercising or filling out a DBT or CBT worksheet.
Tips For When Dysphoria Makes You Want To Self-Harm
Holding an ice cube in your hand
Writing in a journal (it can be extremely therapeutic)
Listening to music
Playing a video game (a puzzle game or fighting game might be particularly helpful since they require a lot of concentration)
Going for a walk (exercise can produce feel-good endorphins in your brain)
Watching a funny youtube video or doing tongue-twisters (laughter also produces endorphins)
Taking a hot shower (they’re particularly great for relieving tension)
Practicing breathing techniques (inhale for 8 seconds, hold for 4 seconds, exhale for 8 seconds and Belly breathing)
Drinking tea (something like chamomile, mint, or peppermint is best)
Coloring (I personally really like ones that feature Disney characters!)
You can google “Coloring pages” and just print some out! I (Lee) like mandalas
Reach out to a friend or family member; they can distract you, and it’s harder to do anything when you’re in the company of others.
Our Suicide Hotlines and Crisis Resources is a list of places you could contact to talk to someone if you’re feeling suicidal. Please, reach out and get help. We can’t answer suicidal asks, but we care about you.
Reblog this and tell us how you deal with dysphoria!
Amiboy: an individual who doesn’t consider themself male (even if theyre born male or not) but feels more in touch with masculinity.
Boyinflux: a gender where you gradually identify more masculine as time goes on, wether that be because you started HRT, or just because thats how you feel (not to be confused with boyflux)
Buckgender: a gender encompassing masculine animal energy.
Burstöll: a gender which associates with warm muted colors, light on murky days, clouds, snowy forests and is cozy, magical, nostalgic and make you feel confident with your identity.
Bxy: a gender that is both boy and agender/no gender. You can be a boy and agender/no gender at the same time, go between them, or fluctuate between feeling male and not feeling gender.
Carminisine: a gender encompassing masculine animal energy
Charmogender: a masculine gender that feels magical in nature.
Delphigender: a mysterious, mystical and obscure non-binary gender.
Deifian: a xenic alignment to divinity and divine entities.
Deusgender: A gender identity that pertains to godliness/something holy, meaning it’s an untouched and unaltered version of gender/has no “passing” form/is outside of masculinity and femininity (can meld with feminine/masculine genders, but does not usually carry societies’ norms when this happens); or a nonbinary gender for people identifying as deities or acknowledge a divine aspect within themselves.
Dialgagender: usually connected to feelings of masculinity, it’s imposing, titanic and has a great impact on the person’s life. But it’s mysterious, alluding any sort of pinpointed description other than “kind of a man but not quite 100% there” or something of the sort. The individual feels like it can change or fluctuate depending on how long an impacting experience lasts, but the initial feelings it’s connected to will still be there.
Divinagender: a gender associated with or described by divination (in general, or a specific form of it). Can be an aesthetic, metaphorical, or personal association, as examples.
Ethvifluid: a fluid gender that is associated with divine and ethereal energies. Can be used as a xenogender, aesthetigender, or kingender.
Faeigender: a gender linked to the Fair Folk/Nature Spirits (elves, fairies, nymphs, dryads, pixies, sprites, etc…). Or a gender inspired by them that feels: mischievous, ethereal, light, magical, pastel, wild, vast, cunning and fluid. You can add terms to the end if you want, and end up with stuff like: Faeifluid, Faeiboy/girl/non binary, etc…
Gendivined: when one’s gender is determined by (any form of) divination. For example, using a tarot reading to determine one’s gender and having the resulting interpretation actually apply/feel appropriate to the individual.
GenderE: a gender that feels badass and masculine
Genderfaunet: “(based off of genderfaun) a form of genderfluidity that never encompasses being completely and entirely female. This can include male, masculine, any nonbinary/unaligned/xenogenders/ect., and even feminine genders, but a genderfaunet individual never feels fully female.
Godian: a gender related or connected to a god(s)
Jugagender: a gender that feels magical and mysterious coined by anonymous.
Juparian: is linked to softer celestial masculine energy. It is never hyper masculine and it’s not male-aligned nonbinary, but instead is simply linked. Someone who is juparian can feel different amounts of masculine energy at different times.
Lokigender: a gender with a heavy attachment to the marvel character loki.
Mascuritas: when your gender is indifferent, but you still want to be perceived as masculine
MINgender: umbrella term for all genders masculine in nature. Also a term to refer to a gender that isn’t fully defined but definitely masculine, or a gender in which masculinity is its defining feature (but the gender is not binary male). May simply be used as “min”, ie. “my gender is min”.
Vermil: From the word vermilion which is a shade of red. This term can be used by nonbinary people who present in a traditionally masculine way without necessarily being masc aligned or solarian. The symbol in the center of the flag is the elemental sign for fire. The word + flag design were made to replicate the solarian flag’s warm colors and association with the sun, fire, and “masculine” energies.
Verrneugender: a gender that has masculine and neutral elements that are both weak or undefined. Inspired by old Norse elements.
hey uhh reminder that like none of these aside from /j /s and sometimes /lh are needed. its treating autistic people like we can’t understand Anything at all, and essentially almost mocking /j and /s. also, iirc, op is neurotypical. so like. yeah.
Hey so yeah they kind of are? I’m like dense as fuck and neurodivergent, and those are connected, and I’m gonna need a /rh and /gen sometimes because I’ll answer rhetorical questions seriously and write off genuine ones as probably not needing an answer
/srs is just the inverse of /s etc, so maybe someone would rather be like Yes This Is Serious, instead of letting someone go “Hm okay so they didn’t add /s,but maybe they forgot, and is this really serious?”
/hj because sometimes there’s half jokes. That’s it. I use that. It’s a side to /j.
Sometimes idk if something is bad or good, and it’d be really fucking GREAT if people said if what they’re talking about it positive or negative, because I’ve already been like oh nice to something had or oh rip to something good. I can’t!! Tell!!!
I’ve quoted things before and people were like What, so maybe adding a /q would be nice so we didn’t go “Oh why did you say that” “oh it’s just a quote”, and cut out dialogue that isn’t needed if you just say /q or even /quote in the first place
And making sure someone knows their i love you is platonic, or if they mean it romantically, would be great. Sometimes people get uncomfortable with one or the other and would get upset not knowing, and be too awkward to ask.
I can see a lot of genuinely great use cases for more than just /j /s and /lh
I’m autistic and have ADHD and I like them all damn it, and they help, so please don’t act like you’re a spokesperson and like if you don’t need it, no one does.
Someone who is sexuallly exclusively attracted to the same sex, but is willing to participate in sexual activities with other genders/sexes (despite no sexual attraction for them).
Considered apart of the cupiosexual community.
Flag based off the cupiosexual community flag. The white was swapped out for a light green color
-Vi 💜
This is me tbh. It’s better than saying “androcupiosappho”.
Novissimumsexual: (Latin for hinder) When you fall out of love, you have a “cool down” on your sexual attraction and you regain it back overtime. So you’re unable to feel sexual attraction for a certain amount of time.
Naturaegender: (Latin for nature) Similar to Itineranturgender, your gender changes depending on the part of nature you’re experiencing. Ex: If you’re in the mountains, you might identify as non-binary.
Secretumgender: (Latin for secret) Where you have a true gender, but you never tell anyone what it is. This gender is a placeholder for your actual gender.
Fiduciagender: (Latin for trust) Where you only reveal your true gender to those you trust, similar to Secretumgender. This gender is a placeholder as well.
Arbitriumgender: (Latin for choice) Where you let someone decide your pronouns depending on their preference, but does not necessarily mean they’re deciding your gender for you.
Artificiumgender: (Latin for trick) A gender that changes depending on how people perceive you. Ex: If someone thinks you’re male, you tell them you’re female.
Formagender: (Latin for form) A gender that changes depending on the clothing or colours you wear, and can vary from individual. Ex: You might identify as male when wearing a dress, or female when wearing green.
Novissimumromantic: (Latin for hinder) When you fall out of love, you have a “cool down” on your romantic attraction and you regain it back overtime. So you’re unable to feel romantic attraction for a certain amount of time.
Tempestatibusgender/Tempestgender: (Latin for wheather): Where your gender changes depending on the wheather, which can vary from individual to individual. Ex: If it’s raining, you might feel female.
Exolvunturgender: (Latin for cycle) Similar to genderfluid, this gender switches gender BUT has a fixed pattern, and is very predictable. Ex: Someone might switch from female to male every other day.
Itineranturgender: (Latin for travel) A gender that changes depending on your location. Ex: At home you might identity as agender, but at a coffee shop you feel male.
Subcinctusgender: (Latin for shift) Where your gender and pronouns switch depending on who you’re with OR the type of person entirely. Ex: You might only identify as female to strangers and only male to relatives.
Meditopic: when your gender feels calmed, zen or less anxious through meditations.
Buddhahoodic: a gender experience tied to Buddhahood.
Buddhafluid: a gender/identities that spiritually changes through the Buddhism ten worlds/realms.
like is it an umbrella term for all those who don’t fit the dsm 5 definition of gender dysphoria? is it for those who don’t feel distress at all, rather incongruence? or is it something else? please help
Hey there. I’m going to try to answer your question to the best of my ability, but understand that it may be lacking because I am neither non-dysphoric, a psychiatrist nor psychologist.
What is Gender Dysphoria?
Gender dysphoria can be defined in numerous ways, and the interpretation of these definitions has lead to a lot of disagreement in the Transgender community. “Gender Dysphoria” is used in both a diagnosis as well as a general descriptive term, which has caused much confusion about it’s actual meaning. I’ll list some verbatim definitions for “Gender Dysphoria” below along with sources for each:
“….involves a conflict between a person’s physical or assigned gender and the gender with which he/she/they identify“…“as a general descriptive term refers to an individual’s discontent with
the assigned gender. It is more specifically defined when used as a
diagnosis.” (X)
“Gender dysphoria is the feeling of discomfort or distress that might
occur in people whose gender identity differs from their sex assigned at
birth or sex-related physical characteristics.“ (X)
“Gender dysphoria is a term that describes a sense of unease that a
person may have because of a mismatch between their biological sex and
their gender identity.
“Gender dysphoria (GD), also known as gender identity disorder (GID), formal diagnosis given by mental health professionals to people who experience distress because of a significant incongruence between the gender with which they personally identify and the gender with which they were born.” (X)
In my own words (as a person who experiences Gender Dysphoria):
The distress that one (may) experience due to experiencing a gender identity that is in some way incongruent to their assigned gender.
Cisgender people may experience gender dysphoria; not all people who experience dysphoria are transgender just as not all transgender individuals are dysphoric.
This definition is suitable to refer to Gender Dysphoria in the general descriptive sense. However, the term has other usages, which has caused significant confusion. As previously stated,“Gender Dysphoria” is also the name of a diagnosis found in the DSM-5. Let’s have a look at the criteria for Gender Dysphoria in the DSM-5 for adolescents and adults with this excerpt from the manual.
DSM-5 & Gender Dysphoria
“In adolescents and adults gender dysphoria diagnosis involves a
difference between one’s experienced/expressed gender and assigned
gender, and significant distress or problems functioning. It lasts at
least six months and is shown by at least two of the following:
A marked incongruence between one’s experienced/expressed gender and primary and/or secondary sex characteristics
A strong desire to be rid of one’s primary and/or secondary sex characteristics
A strong desire for the primary and/or secondary sex characteristics of the other gender
A strong desire to be of the other gender
A strong desire to be treated as the other gender
A strong conviction that one has the typical feelings and reactions of the other gender”
If you notice, it is possible to meet a “Gender Dysphoria” diagnosis without having explicit distress or even a desire for other sex characteristics. This means that it is entirely possible for a person to be not have dysphoria in the general, descriptive sense discussed above, but to qualify for this diagnosis.
Which One Is It?
As a person who is not non-dysphoric, I don’t think I get to decide that the term itself means. What I can do, however, is discuss how I and others use the term.
As a transdepathologizationist, I do not consider transgender identity to be a matter of pathology. Instead, I see gender identity as a matter of diversity. So, when I personally discuss Gender Dysphoria in regards to myself, I am referring to distress that I have felt in the past or feel presently in regards to a personally perceived gender incongruence. When someone communicates to me that they are non-dysphoric, I interpret it to mean that they do not experience distress about their gender identity.
For people who are inclined towards transpathologization, one would likely contend that Gender Incongruence is the same as Gender Dysphoria. To this individual, Gender Incongruence is considered inherently distressing. Following the same logic, if one does not have Gender Dysphoria, they would also not experience Gender Incongruence. These individuals tend to look to the DSM and other diagnostic criteria to define Gender Dysphoria. To these individuals, anyone who meets the diagnostic criteria would be likely considered “dysphoric” because of the name of the diagnosis, “Gender Dysphoria”. I personal find this interpretation to be relatively shallow and unhelpful.
So?
To wrap this all up, let’s talk about it’s usage on tumblr. When people say that they are “non-dysphoric”, it usually means that they do not experience significant gender dysphoria in the generalized, descriptive sense of distress regarding gender incongruence. When people bring the DSM-5 into discussions of Gender Dysphoria, it is often accompanied by transmedicalism. I don’t usually see non-transmedicalist define Gender Dysphoria in terms of the DSM-5 diagnosis.
I hope this answered your question. Please let me know if you need anything cleared up. If anyone except the transmeds has something valuable to add to the post, please feel free to do so.
I made a Lavender Boy Flag which refers to mlm/gnc men! This also includes masc aligned non-binary people ofc!
I did NOT coin this term. This term dates back to the 1920s to refer to effeminate men and mlm men. I saw other mlm talking about reclaiming this term and wanted to propose a flag for it. I think it’s also a good alternative for people who consider themselves feminine boys but don’t wanna use f/mboy because of its connotations. Lavender Boy comes off super romantic and poetic to me so I really enjoy it and I hope others will want to reclaim it too! You’re more than welcomed to use this flag for icons, banners, edits, etc. though I would appreciate credit it is not needed!
Do not interact if: Exclusionist, Truscum, TERF, SWERF, anti-mogai, etc.
Some of my friends have been expressing that they can’t make combo flags displaying the entirety of their identity due to the virtual absence of non-satirical cis and straight flags, so I decided to take a whack at it! Please note that straight people cannot use the Queer Cis flag and cis people cannot use the Trans Straight flag. These flags are for individuals who are still part of the LGBTQIA+ community in some way.
Gender Paraphoria or Adphoria: being «between/beyond» gender dysphoric & gender euphoric; or not experiencing gender dysphoria nor euphoria. Also used as an ambivalence of both, such for people experiencing social dysphoria but physical.
This sometimes can be seen as an atypical, fluid or low dysphoria. Anyway it’s an alternate term for those not feeling represented by either term, or just refusing psychiatrist terminology for themselves. So it’s a depathologized phoria, it doesn’t require medical validation in the usage, it’s just to express yourself regardless of gender-ness and identity narratives. Also useful for euphorized transitioned people.
There are “ay” and “reidem”. Anattractional means no attraction, so aroaces are on the anattractional spectrum. I saw people using it meaning they are a- in all forms of attraction (including aesthetic, sensual, etc.). It’s acceptable. Check out nullian/nullic, nullitive and nullarian/nullaric too.
[ID: The handshake meme. The left arm is labeled “aromantics” and the left is labeled “agenders” with the colors light green, white, grey, and black drawn over the handshake. END ID]
Here, have an alternate pansexual flag i designed!
Stripes:
Saturated pink – Sapphic pansexuals. Sapphic is an umbrella term for any WLW, covering Lesbian, Bi, Pan, Poly, Abro in some cases and more.
Less saturated pink – Pansexuals’ attractions to females in general.
Saturated yellow – Diamoric pansexuals. Diamoric has two meanings:
– one as the same as Sapphic but applying to non binary people; as in enby x enby.
– the other describing any relationship with a non binary person in it.
A binary-gendered person can only apply the latter meaning to themself.
But for this flag’s sake it’s the former meaning.
Less saturated yellow – Pansexuals’ general attractions to non binary people.
Saturated blue – Achillean pansexuals. Achillean is an umbrella term for any MLM, covering Gay, Bi, Pan, Poly, Abro in some cases and more.
Less saturated blue – Pansexuals’ attractions to males in general.
i got inspired by the abro flag for this one! i’m very proud of it, this is my first time designing a flag. Could I ask that you all use this one if you see it? i made this cause our current flag is too clashy-
